Day1:Marek vacc(s/c).this shld b given to dem @ hatchry(5naira per bird).Getting to ur brooding pen u give dem multivitamin or glucose just ease transportaion stress.
Day 2-5:multivitamins and antibiotics.
Day 6-8:Anti-coccidiosis and vitamins.
Day 9: Gumboro vaccine.
Day 10:vitamins.
Day 11-13:Anti-coccidiosis and vitamins.
Day 14:Lasota vacc mix wit milk(cow bell)
Day15-20:vitamins.
Day 21:2nd Gumboro vacc.
Day 25-27: vitamins.
Day 28:2nd lasota.
Day29-33:Anticoccidiosis and vits.
Day 42: Dewormer.
Pls when administring vaccine handle wit extra care,if possible ask d vet doctor or practicing farmer to help u out.My fellow comrade dnt allow any body or factors to discourage u to farm,d future of dis is farming,dose guy doin fine boy today will surely come back to farm by den we go don become Baba so dey hv to pay us our own share frm dere Yahoo money,gba be...i will also like to tell u dt notin dat u ar rearing dt doesnt sell,to my greatest surprise a woman came to my farm to buy my local puppies(badoo) and she saw my local duck and she said she do buy duck also,my brodas i sold 43 small small ducks @ d rate of 1200 par 1,immediately pepper soup dey aungry me...lol

Op, thank you for your assistance so far both on this thread and on WhatsApp. I just wish there can be a table showing drug and vaccine administration for the birds, also possible diseases, symptoms and how to contain them, either with drugs, vaccines or otherwise. I think it will go a very long way for us, especially we the newbies in the business of poultry rearing! Thanks once again!

wow, this is nice! I am planning to go into my first poultry farm this September against December, but this drug and vaccination issue has been my fear. Thanks for sharing this timeless piece.

In rainy season, you will be competing with farmers that are working in Open Field. The four baskets of tomatoes you attached with your comments cant go for more than =N=1,500.00 during rainy season. In dry season, you will still be competing with modern farmers that are in the Open Field that can afford irrigation kits with good water source and can deliver volume to consumers at affordable prices without incurring much capital expenses. You still have to provide for middlemen commission/transport cost in the final analysis.

Usage of green house is cool and desirable, but if you dont have the likes of Shoprites that pays per kilo in your books, I dont see how a farmer can cover his cost even with 2-3 yrs continuous growing. The best bet is to go on open field and have few green house to take of fragile veg.

Have you considered the yield when you use a greenhouse for tomato cultivation vis-a-vis when you do open field? what about pest infestation and pest management in a greenhouse vis-a-vis open field? How about all season season cultivation? Not to mention the variety of tomato.....The truth is that a greenhouse cultivation anyhow you look at it pays far better than open field cultivation. My brother, with greenhouse you will break even in a shorter period than you will with open field! You also have a far higher yield to than open field, minimum pest infestation(if any), proper GAP, higher shelf life of produce, etc. The advantages of a greenhouse over open field can never be compared. My brother, I encourage you to embrace, adopt and practice greenhouse farming over open field!

This is a very good suggestion! For the insecticide, you can look out for cypertex( cypermethrin as the A.I) or Kombat or vanquish! all the best.

so many important cost which OP didn't mention in the analysis, like cost if transporting the cassava to the market, assuming you are not selling on your farm, cost of processing the cassava to garri......peeling, washing, grating, pressing, sifting, frying, cooling, bagging, packaging, transporting to the market, etc. Or are those not cost components? Your analysis should be a holistic analysis, incorporating any form of cost there may be!

Tithing was a thing of Law and work, where you blessing is proportional to your works or your ability to keep the law. But since the grace time, tithe is not a must, rather there us now a better way of giving according to 2:Cor.9:7 to 10. Generous giving, which can be more than the so called tithe. Anybody telling you that Abraham tithed and was blessed, that's a lie as he was blessed already before paying the tithe which was not even from his income, Jacob entered a covenant with God that if He blesses him, he will pay tithe, in order words, if He doesn't bless him, he won't pay tithe. Imagine that! Another will tell you that King Solomon was blessed because he gave God 1,000 cows, but they forget to realize that someone that can give 1,000 cows is blessed already to have such amount of cows ( I believe that was not all the cows he had). What about Job, etc. Have you wondered why Apostle Paul never talked about Tithe? if there was anybody that is suppose to talk about tithe, Bananas was suppose to because he was a descendant of Levi. Jesus too never talked about it, until when he was asked, He responded by saying that their are more important things rather than tithe, such as love, peace , etc. Instead of paying tithe, you should give generously to propagate the gospel!

OP before you conclude, why not try to explore other avenues of reaching her....her friends, parents( if you have access), visiting her, etc? you know, you never can tell. Before you can conclude.
