grin grin grin

Middle-East people re just politically delusional. One party screams "Biafra" while the other party says "One Nigeria". There E-rats keep hating on APC while there PDP elders re aligning with the APC there fellow kinsmen detest.

It's just comedy! The only set of people who don't know what they want. At this pace, the whole of there governors will defect before 2019.
Sentiments apart, I think you are right bro. My Igbo people I really wonder what we want, stand for, and committed to achieving. The next you will hear is that we are marginalized. So will be saying Presidency, others will be saying Biafra, while others will be indifferent. Odikwaegwu for us oooo!!

Foreign AffairsRe: Donald Trump Revokes U.S Pro-Abortion Law by Preciousseed(m): 3:15pm On Jan 24, 2017
It is rather better to be proactive than to reactive. what do I mean? If you must have a willing less when you do not want a baby, what stops you from using contraceptives? On the other hand of rape victims, instead of aborting the baby due to the negative feelings that may come with it, that is where attitude makes a great deal. There is always a greener side in every leaf, so the attitude matter. I really don't see any reason what soever why abortion should be legalized in any form, irrespective of the cause of the pregnancy. Even if you were raped and you don't want to keep the baby, there are motherless babies home and other such bodies.

wow, congrats bro.....almost at maturity stage(if not mature already). Please when did you plant? as in date of planting and emergence?
Btw, thanks for the suggestion(s) you gave on the wind issue I complained about on my experiment site. It actually worked and I also used empty Bottled water to curb the wind effect too, the two methods are very effective. Congrats once again!

Thank you very much. The harvest is going to be bountiful from the look of things.

Nice to know that you have started and I'm just few weeks ahead of you in my operation. I wish you success in your operation.
Like you rightly observed, the germination rate was almost 99% and I planted one seed per poly pot.

As for the wind problem, I suggest that you do not fill your sack to the brim, such that you fold the sack up a little above the soil surface as this will serve as a dike and wind break that will protect the young seedlings. See pics below

Apart from the soil mixture that I used, there's no other fertilisation except the irrigation water.

Finally I use only insecticide (BEST and EMIFORCE) whenever there's insect pest attack of economic threshold.
Thank you very much. I really appreciate the suggestion you gave. please how old were the cukes in this picture you attached? Mine that started emerging on 30/12/2016, which is 10days as at today, though the third leaf is out, I hope they are on track with respect to growth?

On the pesticides, someone suggested fighter and Z-force. Also recommended GNLD's Supergro.........

On market price, I bought cukes s this evening and the woman told me she bought at #7,000/25kg bag here in Enugu. I think that's a good market price.
BusinessRe: Enugu Residents Shift Patronage To Local Rice - The Punch by Preciousseed(m): 2:22pm On Jan 08, 2017
@Citytv, congrats! At least for winning the most mentioned name on this thread! I bought local rice just last night here in Enugu as I ran out of my local rice bank which I have been patronizing since time immemorial. And you know today is Sunday, I can waybill you the one I cooked well so you can see for yourself that it is not stony at all.

AgricultureRe: My Dry Season Irrigation Sack Farming (photo Speak) by Preciousseed(m): 8:48am On Jan 06, 2017
Nice work OP, your cukes are giving me hope as I am doing a small number of bags experiment too on cucumber sack farm. mine are younger as I planted on Dec 25, 2016. I also noticed that the germination rate is very high seeing that in all the nursery bags, they contained one stand, I guess you planted 1seed/bag. Currently, the challenge I am having is wind. Wind is disturbing my crops and breaking the stem of some of them. Though I didn't plant in nursery, I planted directly in the cement bags.
Apart from the poultry manure mixed with the soil, any other fertilization?
2. Are you using insecticide and fungicide for pest?
3. Why planting 1seed/bag.

Thanks! Wishing you bountiful harvest!!!!!

Having gone through the threads, they are really nice. Like I said, I believe so much in this administration and I really pray that God gives him the wisdom to revamp our dear state and put Ala Ngwa in the right perspective now that he is in governance! May God help him.

nonsobaba:
This Abia governor is a big joke. Going around to snap photos of people's uncultivated cassava farms and calling it agricultural revolution! Chai. He needs to go to Anambra and learn from Obiano what real agric revolution is. Obiano has brought in big time commercial farms into Anambra like Coched(Coscharis) farms, Joseph Agro, Ekcel farms, Delfarm, Stine Rice Industries etc. Real Agric revolution in Anambra state and not primary school experimentation farm like the confused governor of Abia is doing. Abia state is dying everyday. It looks like the ngwa buffon in charge of that state is also into hooliganism like his ngwa people are known for.
Brother, not to dispute your facts about the farms toy mentioned in Anambra state, but let me say that every state has their comparative advantage when you study the crop map of Nigeria. Or are you suggesting that all the states should go into rice production like Anambra and Ebonyi? I doubt if you are saying that because I will have to remember that you can't eat that rice without oil ( palm or vegetable). So, if Abaia sees that her strength is in oil palm, why should she go into rice? Agriculture is quite vast with numerous options that everybody should go into a particular crop.

Abia has taken the lead in Agriculture. Please go through my topics you will see plenty of agricultural news.

Road construction can't be completed overnight. There was zero good road on ground when Dr Ikpeazu came on board but today I dare you to visit Aba to see how far we have progressed interns of road despite the court distraction suffered in the hands of greedy minorities in Abia
Well, thank you very much. But I just did go through your topics now and I didnt see anyone that talked about agricultural 'news' being embarked upon by Abia state government, maybe you can help me posts those topics. Moreover, even if there is, it shouldn't be about 'news' but action. States like Anambra, Kebbi, Ebonyi, etc are not talking about agric news but their works in agriculture is highly conspicuous by all. Though I still believe so much in this administration.
