AgricultureRe: Green House Agronomist by Preciousseed(m): 1:20am On Dec 03, 2016
What other time will be best to invest in agriculture other than now? A greenhouse is really a real estate you can invest in and your are sure of high ROI, short PBP and it is highly cost effective and profit efficient. Also, you can even use it as a means of community development, youth empowerment and poverty alleviation. Are you an educationist? A greenhouse can be a teaching aid for your teachers and a learning tool for your students. It can even serve for excursion purposes. The list is simply inexhaustible!
Now, water is a major and primary need for any successful farming , this greenhouse kit comes with virtually everything, yes everything you need for a successful farming...... The greenhouse structure, the inputs(improved seed varieties, agrochemicals, nutrients, just name it), drip irrigation( for high water use efficiency), and above all, This greenhouse comes with certified greenhouse agronomist such as Oladiran...Knowledge, they say is power. This agronomist( Oladiran)applies tested and proven methods for mimimum cost and maximum profit! The right time is just now! Instead of buying wrapper or rice for your community people this festive season, why not empower them with greenhouse and watch them sustain theirselves......I just want to make common sense!
PoliticsRe: Ikpeazu Commissions Owerrinta Egbelu Mbutu Road by Preciousseed(m): 12:42am On Dec 03, 2016
Dear OP, I just wan to ask, though I won't say that the government is doing bad. But it seems that much attention is being given to road construction in our dear Abia state, yet the roads are yet to be completed. Like in Aba, most of the roads started are still not completed to 100% till date. Meanwhile, my question is this..... why is the government not paying attention to Agriculture? If I do not know, kindly inform me about the governments stand, policy or plans of going into agriculture. Thank you!

Our Dear Governor please help us to work on the road that connects Agburuke Nsulu to Apumiri Ubakala. This Road also connects Agburuke to Nbawsi,if this road becomes accessible it will help rural farmers within that environs to transport farm products to Umuahia town.
Very nice observation and strategic road. Just straight from Mbawsi to Ubakala. Alternatively, it can be taken from Ntigha junction passing through Umuomai-ukwu, Agburuike, Umuogu, umueze, umuode, ikputu and connect umuosu. Such rural roads need attention. But I think Mbawsi to Ubakala will be more economical!
AgricultureRe: Watermelon/cucumber Training @ Owerri, Aba, Umuahia, PH And Enugu by Preciousseed(m): 9:53am On Dec 02, 2016
Good morning! As the day approaches, a little direction of how to locate the venue of the training will not be a bad sir! Thanks.
Though I have booked a space, I am thinking a brief highlight of the things that will be covered during the training may also captivate more participants. Things such as soil preparation, pest management, etc. Just a suggestion though....thanks!
AgricultureRe: Make 200,000 Naira Or More Monthly Growing Indigenous Vegetables this Dry Season by Preciousseed(m): 7:33pm On Nov 26, 2016
Kalusam:
Am sure the first thing on your mind when you saw the caption was...its impossible! Well, that's your opinion and you are entitled to it. Whether you believe it or not this dry season will generate money for those who are (1) Smart. (2) See the opportunities. (3) Are ready to make money!

Back to the main gist. Do you know you can be making up to 50,000+ per harvest from your Telferia(Ugu), Chocorus(Ewedu), Amaranth(Efo and Soko), Water Leaf(Gwure) on a limited space of a plot(666m2) in Lagos?

Why indigenous vegetables?
Unlike the exotic ones, they are more hardy and resistance to disease, so no mildew(powdery and downy), no virus this or bacteria that, pest infestation can be easily managed and controlled. Secondly, everyday people must eat any of them...in fact Mama put and 'Iya come chop', Calabar Kitchen et al. cannot survive without them, hence you have a ready market.

If you are in doubt then join us on the farm any day from 1st to 15th February, 2016(Except Sundays) as I take you through the rudiments of growing our indigenous vegetables successfully with limited space and how you can start maximising profits in less than a month.

Training Fee: NGN5,000
Duration: 4 hours
Date: From 1st till 15th February, 2016(Except Sundays)
Venue: Epe, Lagos

Interested? Send the message: <Name> <Space> <I am Interested> to the number: 08027833353 or Whatsapp: 07036931636.
Oga Kalu, weldone sir! Please I want to ask if you will have plan for training in the Eastern part of the country. Because all this while it has been the Western part that has been benefiting from this smart farming training you and your likes organize for the youth. Please if you already have any, kindly refresh me about it. Else, we will appreciate it if we in the east is also considered! Thanks you very much!

I'm an Anambrarian but I must confess, this is the most senseless and useless comment I've ever seen in my life. Was phyno bred in Anambra? Did he school in Anambra? Did he grow up in Anambra? Did Anambra help groom his career or was it Enugu that did that? I wouldn't mind if Any Igbo state claims any Anambrarian because in all, we're supposed to be one not act like foolish cats and rats. My Igbo people seems to be the most divided set of people in Nigeria tho. SmH..
Indeed we the Igbo's are too divided. You can imagine what is happening because of a musician. A whole Anambra and closest Enugu dragging ownership of an IGBO person. The same problem still hunting us. There is no unity in Igbo land. I pray God helps us!

So Abia did not see states like Anambra to emulate, it is Ekiti they are emulating? indeed, the company you keep determines what accompanies you. Are there more farms in Abia than in Anambra or what? But Anambra is managing the Situation while doing exploit in agriculture, yet no such bill. But look at Abia, nothing to show for, yet keeping wrong company. Abia why?

OK, thanks how about in the yield? Because it seems you and jasper7 advocate for organic fertilizer!
AgricultureRe: My Successful Cucumber Sack Farm In Kaduna by Preciousseed(m): 12:25pm On Sep 13, 2016
Vanpeele, please in place of organic fertilizer, like the poultry droppings and cow dung, can one use inorganic? like NPK? Does it have any effect on the crop? Thanks!

InvestmentRe: Nigerians Ignore SEC's Warning On MMM, Say "MMM Is Not A Scam" by Preciousseed(m): 9:49pm On Sep 12, 2016
The truth is that many people calling MMM scam don't really know what it is all about. They will cite one Wikipedia like that. Me too, I felt it was a scam initially but summoned courage to try it with just 20k. lo and behold, after a month I got 34k. Meanwhile, I registered in one MLM like that, let me not call the name, with 19,800. For 4 months now, I have not made my 19,800 back let alone any profit. Another question I want to ask is this, why didn't SEC or whatever warn against MLMs? oh, because they registered and pays them...maybe as NGO or charity organizations. Those ones even have a central account where all the money goes to......Abeg I prefer MMM to MLM ooo. My own opinion anyway!

Yea, another good company into greenhouses is SARO AGROSCIENCES.
AgricultureRe: Cucumber Farmers Your Advice Is Required by Preciousseed(m): 12:20am On Sep 09, 2016
Very nice thread OP. Still studying this cucumber farming with new lessons everyday. My fear has been using inorganic fertilizer, but from your mention, it is obvious you used inorganic(NPK) fertilizer, and i want to believe it did not affect the yield? Because Vanpeele, Jasper7 et al recommends organic fertilizer.
Lastly OP, having harvested and marketed, kindly share with us the profit and loss from your cultivation? Thanks very much for the tutorial.
AgricultureRe: My Cucumber Farming Adventure(my First Experience As A Farmer) by Preciousseed(m): 11:16am On Sep 08, 2016
Nice one bro. May you have plenty harvest. But my question is this, can one use in organic fertilizer? Also, did you use any pesticide?
AgricultureRe: My Successful Cucumber Sack Farm In Kaduna by Preciousseed(m): 12:14am On Sep 08, 2016
Adegbem01:
Definitely... I was short on irrigation
I didn't use manure and inorganic fertilizer didn't seem compatible with sack farming when I tried and am not guru just a starter too but almost a year trying this cucumber farm and experimenting
Then i will suggest you find one of them to engage on phone. Maybe Vanpeele or Jasper7. these guys have result on this.
AgricultureRe: My Successful Cucumber Sack Farm In Kaduna by Preciousseed(m): 2:31pm On Sep 07, 2016
Adegbem01:
I try using this sack method and it not efficient (just my opinion and it not objective)
It conserve manure.. Yes
Water holding... No, it only manageable if there is proper irrigation
There is no weed.. Little weed and you still av to weed sometimes during cycle (it not worth it)
Minimize land... Not necessarily.... You can minimize land too on just normal ground planting... I have tried both and I can objectively say in my opinion traditional way is far better and labour effective
Hmmm, with all these testimonies about sack farming? well, am heading thus your version for the first time oooo. @Vanpeele, @world1, @Jasper7, @Jethro, and all the gurus your voice is needed here. Not withstanding, am going to do my own experiment on sack farming asap. Don't you think there might be something you didn't get right? May asking the gurus will help.
AgricultureRe: My Successful Cucumber Sack Farm In Kaduna by Preciousseed(m): 11:49pm On Sep 06, 2016
Op thanks for this thread. Most especially the area you gave the cost estimate. That has been my fear! Once again, thanks! But there is a place you stated that we should not use poultry droppings, rather you advocated for cow dung! Please why can't we use poultry droppings? Because I think Jasper uses it
AgricultureRe: My Successful Cucumber Sack Farm In Kaduna by Preciousseed(m): 11:43pm On Sep 06, 2016
SnowJay92:
Question please,

Why do you prefer the sacks to just planting directly on the land? Thanks
well, from the thread I learnt the following:
1. It conserves the manure
2. The water holding capacity is high in the sack as there is no infiltration .
3. No weed to compete with the plants for nutrient.
4. Minimizes the land span used.
5. U can do it in your cemented, inter-locked, land-scaped compound.
6. Etc.
