How can I protect my rooted phone?
I just wanna tweak the launcher and font. And might flash another kernel on it

Installing a custom recovery
Having a nandroid backup of ur full phone after rooting (usually 7-15gb of space needed)
Having ur Stock rom at hand
And having PC
If u have all these, you can recover from any damage you encounter after rooting your phone

Rooting your phone is a 50-50 risk, you'll have to use your phone cautiously or else, problems will arise, and u have ways of restoring yr phone when problem arises, then you can go ahead

Rooting ur phone for customization, is not worth the risk tho, but u can still go on if u want
I have been using my rooted phone for a year and half now, I've only encounter problem twice (Bricked my phone by accident)

I don't know if this is the right place to ask of this but, I was registering an account on google some days ago and they asked for my ID card for verification of Identity, can I use the paper slip NIMC gave me, in place of the ID card??, or it won't be accepted??

Oh, I almost forgot about this place, um you do have a pc right? If yes, you need to download:
Patched boot.img for your phone model (link at the bottom of the post)
Magisk.apk (Google)
install:
V-COM Drivers for itel device on the pc (Google search the process of installing V-COM drivers depending on the system you are using)
adb and fastboot tools for pc,
(you will need basic knowledge of pc)

After installing the adb and fastboot tools locate it in C:/USER and open it with Command prompt from there and run the following commands (without commas) and press enter after each command to unlock your bootloader
(adb devices)
To check if ur device is connected
(adb reboot bootloader)
If successfully typed your phone will enter fastboot mode
(fastboot devices)
To check if your phone has connection in fastboot mode
(fastboot oem unlock)
Will unlock bootloader, follow the instructions that will display in your phone
Note: it will clear everything in your phone
Now flash the patched boot.img to your phone by inputting
(fastboot flash boot patch_boot.img)
After that reboot your phone with
(fastboot reboot)
Wait for few minutes cos your phone might boot longer than the usual time

Install Magisk and control your rooted phone with it make sure you install a custom recovery after you root your, I recommend TWRP

Download and unzip it, rename it to patch_boot.img

Rooting with one click app doesn't work on Android 7 (I guess) upwards
So you will need PC to root ur android, by unlocking your bootloader (which will erase everything on ur phone) and installing TWRP flashing magisk to ur phone, that's all

But recently I bought 32gb memory card and inserted it inside
Now whenever I download any media file into the sd card, I won't see it in the default media app
e.g if I download music, I won't find it in Google play music but I will find it in the file manager
please I need suggestions on what to do

P.s: I also need a way to move my default storage to memory card, I changed it in settings but not everything is entering the memory card, except I move them
