The northern part of Nigeria will never develop this way. You never hear of meaningful things done by their leaders. The people seem to have accepted their lot in life.

Them say this brand na 75k but since they bought am in bulk na 70k dea buy am
Bro, na cheating. #120k for these stuff is a rip off. Rice is less than #60k in most places now. How much is the vegetable oil and palm oil? Why not just give everyone their #120k and let them stock their kitchen with it?

Anyway they helped you somehow. I made #200k from a deal last week. Before then my plan was to buy half bag of rice and other things but now I've almost finished the money and have not bought those things. Na that time friends and family go dey ask you for money.

Bahamas95:
It’s not 100% true. Some friends take you as Santa Claus because you’re generous, but you won’t get shishi from them. You’re not supposed to ask before a friend gives.

I remembered a friend from school who always came to my room to eat. We were close. I shared things like eggs, noodles etc with him freely even though he still ate with me whenever he met me eating.

He went home every weekend and brought plenty dried fish because that's his mother's business but he never offered me any. He’d just finish it quietly. 😄

One day, my girlfriend (now my wife) craved dried-fish noodles and it was kinda late. He said nothing and kept watching his movie. You know women na, dem nor sabi ignore things. Benin babe for dat mata. She jokingly told him "Uche na crime for person to eat your fish? Please go and give me fish jor" That was when he finally brought some.

Deep down, I knew he was stingy, but I didn’t let it bother me. I’m not used to asking people for things because of my shy nature.

You were the one who was born yesterday. It wasn't possible to buy a house for #100 in 1979. I know the 80s very well and I understand what she meant was that they paid a down payment of #100.
How much was a bag of cement in 1979? Start from there

JUST IN: Osun PDP Governorship Candidate Not Party Member – Diran Odeyemi

Des 20 2025

A former Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, Diran Odeyemi, has alleged that the party’s governorship candidate ahead of the 2026 Osun Guber poll, Hon. Adedamola Adebayo, popularly known as Fryo, is not a registered member of the Osun State chapter of the PDP.

According to Odeyemi, Adebayo is unknown to the PDP in Osun, saying he has not been participating in party activities in the state. He claimed that the Guber candidate is an ally of Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde and they are living in the same residence in Ibadan.

He stated this while featuring on a Yoruba programme on Awa’arawa TV

“The PDP candidate in Osun State is unknown to the party in the state. He has not been participating in party activities with us. He lives at Governor Seyi Makinde’s residence in Ibadan. They brought Ibadan people to disguise as delegates to vote for him as the PDP Candidate in Osun.”

Adebayo emerged PDP candidate after polling 919 votes out of 957 cast in the primary.

Announcing Adebayo’s victory after the voting, chairman of the primary, Humphrey Abba, stated: “Void votes 20. We told you earlier that one of the aspirants withdrew.

“The candidate that got the remaining votes is Adebayo Adedamola with 919 votes and stands elected and returne.
