Op, I noticed some errors in the write-up. The goal Navas conceded yesterday wasn't the first goal he had conceded in la liga this season. Also, you were wrong when saying that De Gea hasn't kept a clean sheet this season. You do remember he was in goal when man utd trashed sunderland 3-nil. I also don't understand what you mean by man utd's attitude towards black players. Do you realise that there are a lot of black players in the first eleven? Your bias is too glaring. Try to be a lil bit more objective. Thank me later. |

cashme28: Your submission is not completely correct. 1. 2007 AC did not hold only in PH but only in LAGOS, in Federal Palace Hotel, V.I 2. 2015 AC was from June 8, 2015 - Aug 5, 2015 3. Also remember that then they relied on physical copies of the letters to be dispatched. Now it's more of emails.
Logistics would have been tougher then than now. Within a space of 7 years, a whole lot of things would have changed. So i think it would b a lil bit out of place to compare times then with now... just my thought.
Cheers Good thinking there but... 1. The point is that the 2007 AC held only in one venue while that of 2015 held in three venues. 2. Meaning it was even a 9-week AC. We're still on the same page. 3. Sure, they relied on physical copies to be dispatched but the fact remains that they were only dispatched when the results were ready.(Remember, my question is about how long before it's ready). Logistics, really, has nothing to do with this because as long as results are ready, they'll be sent out on a particular day(be it by email or post), the only difference being how long they get to the recipients(which, to me, is inconsequential). |

I have one question for all those that can't wait for the results of the AC to come out:
The 2007 NLNG AC lasted for 4 weeks(June 25, 2007 - July 21, 2007), and the results came out 15 weeks later on November 5, 2007. Considering that it took 15 weeks for the results of a 4-week AC to come out, how long is it going to take for the results of an 8-week AC(June 8, 2015 - July 31, 2015) to come out?
NB:- (1) 2007 AC had 450+ persons while 2015 AC had 600+ persons. (2) 2007 AC held only in PH while 2015 AC held in ABJ,Lag and PH. |

SegunMike: It's a Graduate Trainee Position, and not Experienced Hire. As much as being employed could be an added advantage, doesn't mean it will get you the job. I don't think I remember any question that was directed specifically to "work experience"........so YES....some unemployed may be selected. All iz well. Sure, there was no question directly specified to "work experience" but the interview questions required one to give instances/experiences gained in different situations/events that occurred preferrably two years ago to present. Now, considering that everybody finished nysc not later than 2013, if one has been unemployed since then, I ask again, how would any such person scale through the interview stage? And bdw, even though it's a Graduate Trainee position, NLNG wouldn't want someone that's been idle that long. |

I was referring to those that are still involved in this recruitment. I don't think there's any unemployed person among those. How d'you think any such person would scale through the interview section of the AC? |

Eruditor: I don't know where some of you got this assertion from, but if I am to work on the premise that it is true then we have to know that PMB will appoint a Special adviser for the ministry. He obviously cannot oversee the ministry in totality alone neither will he rely on the efforts of only the Perm Sec- that's on the one hand. On the other hand, he cannot attend OPEC meetings and summits as the sitting HOS. He will need the Special adviser to take his stead.
The long and short of it is that the Special adviser will be a makeshift Minister (afterall, SAs have the remunerations and status' of ministers) and as such Dr. Kachikwu, will not be Judge and Jury in the petroleum ministry, which NNPC happens to be part of. @first bolded, there are several links but here's one of them... http://www.punchng.com/news/president-to-head-ministry-of-petroleum-for-18-months/@2nd bolded, of course you are right but I never insinuated that. I meant in NNPC, afterall he's GMD of NNPC, and not GMD of petroleum ministry. |

It's because the pay doesn't correlate to the amount of work put in. Imagine going out of your comfort zone to talk to strangers all day under this harsh weather, and end up earning 80 to 100 thousand while your mates will sit down under chilled AC in his cozy office pressing computer yet earn 4 to 5 times your monthly pay. |

PrivateRyan: But all we have is hearsay. Donot underestimate how far people who either failed or were not eligible for the test are willing to go. I believe philips consulting should know better and nothing about their body language suggests that we should panic yet. I believe it would be very easy for them to tell us that NNPC has put it on hold inorder to lift the weight off their shoulders but in all their responses to inquiry so far, they have been very careful not to say this, rather their responses always imply that we should be ready. I'm not a blind optimist, I'm just reading btw the lines PCL's 'body language' doesn't suggest panic neither does it suggest hope. You don't expect them to start telling people that the recruitment is on hold when NNPC hasn't sent them a memo to that effect. So I have to disagree with you that PCL should know better because really, they don't know anything. They're just contractors waiting for orders from their paymaster.(sic) People are just asking the wrong people the right questions. Rekeson is the only person that has brought info from the right people(NNPC). Now, I'm not saying Rekeson's right but I'll rather hear 'grapevine' from NNPC than any 'automated response' ish from PCL. |

PrivateRyan: Lol guys chill. Kachikwu's powers will be reduced drastically once a minister is appointed. I believe the minister will hav more say about this recruitment than kachikwu. Going by your logic, then this recruitment lies solely in Dr Kachikwu's hands considering that there won't be any petroleum minister till President Buhari's 18-month term elapses. Or have you all forgotten that PMB said he'll double as petroleum minister for 18 months? Having said that, there's no way this recruitment will be put on hold till 2017 when a new minister will be appointed. Therefore, Dr Kachikwu is in full control. If he says that GT recruitment is not top priority, then his word is law. |

Sports › Re: Chelsea Fans Let's Discuss What We Think Is Wrong With Our Team Cos Am Nt Smilin by prelinctus: 3:03pm On Sep 13, 2015 |
I think the main cause of the malaise is the fact that Mourinho is giving Hazard too much freedom on the ball by allowing him to roam left, right and centre. This tends to destabilize the team's balance as everybody would be busy trying to adjust. He should play Hazard strictly from the left where he can terrorise right backs as well as cutting in to shoot from distance. That was where he played beginning of last season when he was on fire. Secondly, Fabregas needs to be given a rest. Same goes for Ivanovic. Oscar absence is keenly felt. |
