Yes, it came a bit later than I had expected; probably the SEC no-objection approval was delayed because of the company’s submitted basis of allotment. The registrar or company likely had to recompute the allotment basis to meet the SEC Requirements.

At least I can use the funds for some other opportunities now. I tied down a lot in the rights hoping that I could hammer 100%+ in millions in a some weeks (few months) . I’ll still do but not so substantial to my satisfaction in terms of the absolute value.

NEIMETH has just refunded about 75% of the funds I committed to extra units of their rights issue. I requested some extra million units than I qualified for. So, at all at all na him bad pass.

That’s the essence of the closure of register dates that often accompany the dividend announcements of companies. So that the transactions made on the qualification date settle before deciding who gets dividends and who doesn’t.

As long as you buy shares on the date of qualification for dividend, you will earn it. If you sell today you loose out, if you buy today you will get it.

It has nothing to do with settlement date. it is all about whose name is on the register as of the cut off date

If you are in doubt, just buy only 2 units of Presco today and come back here to tell us whether you got the dividend or not

Overall, my combined portfolios had a good run for July. At least, I recovered most of the paper losses I incurred in June. I don’t know what the constitution of your portfolio looks like, but most well-structured ones should have had fair to good performance in July.

August seems to have a significant chance of having a good performance as well, don’t forget Frontier Market approval is likely to come next month. If it’s sure that foreign investors will come in September after FM rating, nothing will stop the next full bull run starting in August!
