NBA is shameless, this is how they go about collecting money from Governors to host them and then use their platform to sing your praises. The plan was to sing the praises of Fubara after collecting N300 million from him. Unfortunately for them, the State of emergency has thrown their plans inside the gutter. And they have jammed a military man who will wipe them until he collects back all the money they collected from Fubara. Na like that Fubara dey waste Rivers money ontop propaganda.

Rufai: good

If anyone was ever in doubt (nobody is in doubt tho) that Arisetv is pro-Obi, now you have your doubts cleared. Look at all of them in a room savouring the moments with their propaganda TV. If you see Obi carrying camera around visiting different locations, it's not a coincidence, it is all part of the plan. Unfortunately, the plan did not work in Benue, they chased him and his camera away like a thief.

PS; Have wailers heard Goodluck Jonathan say Tinubu will win 2027 election?. The news will hit you tomorrow.

PoliticsRe: Tinubu, Oborevwori’s Tenure ‘ll End In 2031 – Chief Of Staff To Delta Gov by PressMyButton(op): 7:44pm On Apr 15, 2025
Back to back... from Gov Uno to Gov Oborevweri. Like I have earlier, it is the opposition that will campaign for Jagaban in 2027. Wailers are getting heart breaks lately and there's more to come. If a wailer is sitting next to you, please, save a life and give them a hug.

PoliticsTinubu, Oborevwori’s Tenure ‘ll End In 2031 – Chief Of Staff To Delta Gov by PressMyButton(op): 7:44pm On Apr 15, 2025
Delta State Chief of Staff, Prince Johnson Erijo, has sparked intense political debate following a bold declaration that Governorqq Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration would terminate in 2031 — the same year President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second term is expected to end.

The statement, made at a high-profile church event in Sapele, is fueling speculation that the Delta State Governor may be on his way out of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and into the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Erijo, speaking on behalf of Governor Oborevwori at the 49th birthday and 27th pastoral anniversary celebration of Archbishop Godday Iboyi of Promise Kingdom Ministry (Overflow), noted,

“It is the way the terminal bus stop of our President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is going to end in 2031, that is the same way that of your son, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, is going to end in 2031.”

The statement was interpreted as a strong political alignment with Tinubu’s administration.
This remark comes just days after PDP heavyweight and Delta South Senatorial candidate in the 2023 general elections, Michael Diden, also known as Ejele, launched a pro-Tinubu campaign group tagged ‘Door to Door for Tinubu’ Though Diden insists he remains in the PDP, the formation of the group has further intensified rumours of an imminent political shift within Delta’s ruling elite.

Governor Oborevwori had previously urged his supporters to back President Tinubu, insisting that anyone who truly loved him must support the , President . Although he has yet to formally announce his defection, political analysts believe the Governor’s recent moves are calculated steps toward an eventual transition.

The Archbishop’s celebration, themed “If No Be God”, attracted key political and religious figures across Nigeria. Dignitaries present included the Orodje of Okpe Kingdom, HRM Orhue I; the Ovie of Idjerhe, HRM Obukohwo Whiskey; the Ovie of Oghara Kingdom, HRM Noble Eshemitan; and former Minister of Information, Prof. Sam Oyovwaire, among others.

Erijo, while praising the celebrant, hinted at divine orchestration in Delta’s political landscape. “Back in 1999 when PDP was formed, one of your sons, Professor Sam Oyovwaire, was expected to be Governor. But it pleased God for Delta to wait until now. God knows why we waited to have an Okpe Governor,” he said, suggesting a deeper political narrative.

Guest speaker and PFN Chairman in Delta State, Bishop Dr. Abbos Willie, preaching from Psalm 124, declared, “This is the time of the Okpe people,” urging the community to recognize their season and unite under divine purpose and leadership.

Archbishop Godday Iboyi, overwhelmed with gratitude, used the occasion to thank God for 27 years of ministry and 49 years of life. “God has never abandoned me. I have been used to train over 50 graduates and help hundreds more. I pray for strength to keep serving humanity and Nigeria,” he said.

As praises poured in from Hon. Benedict Etanabene, Hon. James Augoye, Prof. Sam Oyovwaire, and others, many observers noted that beyond the religious celebration, a subtle political script may be unfolding — one that could see Delta’s leadership realigned ahead of 2027.

Hello Guys,

I'm throwing this question to you because it's very important. Every time I ask, "how is Nairaland?" I'm told that it is fine. If I ask what are the challenges I'm told there are none.

So I need to talk to you guys directly about what you think is going on and what you want us to do. I have not had the confidence to make major changes on Nairaland. I have a little confidence now because of AI.

What are your complaints, your challenges, your issues. What are the things that can drive people away and need to be nipped?

Speak your mind, but don't be rude. Thanks.

Let me sound a note of warning to headless mob, you belong to the vocal minority, your voices are being heard everywhere everyday, screaming and wailing on both social and traditional media. You scream at the top of your lungs to attract attention. But what you don't know is the fact that there is the silent majority. This group of people or progressives are the real watchers, the movers and shakers, the deciders of major political results. We saw it play out between Trump and Kamala, while Kamala's supporters were very vocal, Trump's supporters , on the other hand, were just watching, waiting to make things happen. That was what also happened between President Tinubu and the opposition. The BATists who were/are the silent majority were quietly observing the vocal minority and laughing at them. This is also repeating itself in Rivers State. I know the vocal minority/headless mob will be shocked that the opposition has this large number of supporters and to even shock more, these are women of Rivers leading the forefront.
And let me remind you, this is exactly what will still play out in 2027. So, the minority should continue being vocal, making noise and wailing everywhere. When it's time, the silent majority will do the needful.

PoliticsWike's Aide Reacts As Women Protest In Support Of Emergency Rule In Rivers by PressMyButton(op): 7:14pm On Apr 14, 2025
Lere Olayinka, media aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, stirred social media reactions on Monday, April 14, 2025, to a group of women who staged a pro-emergency rule protest in Rivers State.

In his tweet, Olayinka wrote, “Rivers women in support of state of emergency. Na women carry this kin placard for Port Harcourt today."

The tweet came shortly after Channels Television reported that a coalition of women groups had taken to the streets of Port Harcourt in support of the controversial state of emergency declared in Rivers State.

The women, all dressed in white, marched from the Garrison Flyover to the Isaac Boro Park, carrying placards bearing messages such as “State of Emergency is Constitutional” and “We Don’t Want Fubara.”

The women expressed their support for the emergency rule and the appointment of Ibok-Ette Ibas as the administrator of the state by President Bola Tinubu.

They called on Ibas to continue what they described as the “good work” being done under his watch.

They claim the order was given on Tuesday, but it never saw the light of the media until Sunday
Lol, I guess the order was traveling on a snail to Nigeria that's why it arrived on Sunday.

“They went to meet Buhari and it was reported that he insisted the meeting be held in or on camera so that Elrufai would not go and say Buhari is joining SDP and PDP.
Bwala is a bad niggar, see how he cornered them and punched their teeth out. So, Buhari demanded that his meeting with Atiku and Elrufai must be on Camera, so that they would not rope him in Lol. No wonder, he knew he was dealing with snakes, when Elrufai came out to say Buhari gave him the approval to go to SDP, Buhari came out immediately to counter him to say He, Buhari will never leave APC. See how desperation has made the coalition of failures messed up themselves before Buhari. Now, anytime they visit Buhari, there must be camera around to capture all the moments. He doesn't trust them anymore.
PoliticsMischievous And Politically Nonsense – Bwala Dismisses US Court Order On Tinubu by PressMyButton(op): 8:03pm On Apr 13, 2025
Presidential spokesperson Daniel Bwala has criticised a recent ruling by a U.S. court ordering the release of documents related to President Bola Tinubu held by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and other anti-drug agencies.

The decision was issued by Judge Beryl Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
In her ruling, Howell stated that shielding the information from public view is “neither logical nor plausible.”

The order followed a motion filed by Aaron Greenspan, who accused U.S. law enforcement agencies of violating the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

Greenspan’s request is believed to be linked to a 1993 case in which Tinubu reportedly forfeited $460,000 to the U.S. government due to alleged connections to narcotics trafficking.

Reacting to the development, Bwala dismissed the court’s decision, calling it “mischievous and politically mechanised nonsense.”

Reacting in a post on 𝕏 on Sunday afternoon, the Special Adviser to Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, accused the President’s opponents of being behind the report.

He wrote: “Mischievous and politically mechanized nonsense under the guise of US Court Orders FBI and DEA to act. They claim the order was given on Tuesday, but it never saw the light of the media until Sunday

“There is nothing these opposition under the auspices of coalition for a wild goose chase cannot try to do to keep relevance.

“They went to meet Buhari and it was reported that he insisted the meeting be held in or on camera so that Elrufai would not go and say Buhari is joining SDP and PDP.

“Hard as they try, they are still struggling to convince Nigerians that they have any plan at all, needless alternative plan.”

PoliticsNo Evidence CIA Has Files On Bola Tinubu; FBI, DEA Already Released Records - US by PressMyButton(op): 2:47pm On Apr 13, 2025
A federal judge in the United States has authorised the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) to ignore requests for files on President Bola Tinubu, saying no evidence the organisation collected any intelligence on the Nigerian leader.

Similarly, Judge Beryl Howell of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia in Washington D.C. said the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) have already released documents in their possession, but said they can look further to see if they have anything left that would be in public interest in their archives.

“Given that plaintiff has failed to show that the CIA has ever officially acknowledged the existence or nonexistence of records responsive to his FOIA request, the CIA’s Glomar response must be sustained,” Ms Howell said in her April 8, 2025, decision.

Glomar response involves federal authorities declining to confirm or deny the existence of information relating to an enquiry. Western intelligence and law enforcement agencies have used the mechanism to avoid weighing in on a raging controversy for decades.

Consequently, Ms Howell said the CIA should be excused from the freedom of information lawsuit filed by American transparency activist Aaron Greenspan in collaboration with Nigerian journalist David Hundeyin.

The decision, which should relieve the Nigerian leader, followed years of litigation for Mr Tinubu’s records by the duo, with the FBI and other U.S. agencies disclosing what they had in their possession in a series of document dumps between 2023 and 2024.

The FBI and sister agencies have already released files from their archives that showed Mr Tinubu was investigated for ties to narcotics business in the 1990s. The probe led to Mr Tinubu’s forfeiture of $460,000 in 1993, a scandal that dominated the 2023 presidential elections in Nigeria.

In her decision, Ms Howell said the FBI and other agencies, except the CIA, were reluctant to release files on Mr Tinubu but admitted all joint-status filings that showed the agencies complied with freedom of information enquiries and released all documents that it felt were relevant to whether or not Mr Tinubu was once a subject of their investigation.

But if the FBI and others have information on Mr Tinubu that could be in the public interest, they should feel free to release them to Mr Greenspan, the judge said.

“Accordingly, the FBI and DEA must search for and process non-exempt records responsive to the FOIA requests directed to these agencies,” she said.

It was unclear whether or not the FBI has more documents other than what it has already released between 2023 and 2024.

A spokesman for the bureau did not return a request seeking comments from The Gazette. The parties were ordered to file a joint update to the court by May 2, 2025. A spokesman for the Nigerian presidency declined comments about the development.

You're correct, I confirmed it and it's true. Wetin oil money go cause for naija. The difference is that those ones you talked about have not began production, so no royalties is being paid for now and I believe they will settle the ownership tussle before production commences but for Edo-Delta, oil production had began a long time, royalties was paid to Edo before it was diverted to Delta.
Oil money is no respecter of familial. The most shocking was Akwa-ibom and Cross River. It's Akwa-ibom that turned Cross River into a broke state. They only have Tinapa and Seaport, even those two are moribund. Cross River wey dey ball before, Akwa-ibom collected all their oil wells.

I urge the co-owners of SEPLAT, Austin Avuru and Ojiakor to stop playing nepotism with the oil wells under the company. Shell had been paying royalties to the Government of Edo State since 1993 but as soon as SEPLAT took over the oil wells, you began paying the royalties to Delta State Government allegedly because of your affinity to Delta State. This has to stop. Governor Okpebholo must ensure all the oil wells are back to Edo State and all outstanding royalties must be fully paid. Wike collected Rivers oil wells from Imo state, Akwa-ibom collected theirs from Cross River. I hate injustice.
PoliticsEdo Moves To Reclaim Oil Wells Allegedly Ceded To Delta by PressMyButton(op): 12:48pm On Apr 12, 2025
Edo State Government has initiated moves to reclaim oil wells at the Orogho community in Orhionmwo Local Government Area of the state, which were allegedly ceded to Delta State.

The state Deputy Governor, Dennis Idahosa, led a delegation to the community on Friday to seek an amicable resolution to the controversy surrounding the ceding of the oil wells being operated by Seplat Energy Plc.

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the deputy governor, Mr Friday Aghedo, Idahosa met with Odionwere of the community, Pa Odiase Omorogieva, youth leaders, and community members as part of moves to peacefully resolve the issue.

He commended them for their peaceful disposition since the ceding of their “natural wealth” to another state.

He added, “My visit is to douse tension and allay the fear of losing their God-given mineral resources to another state, while the community where oil exploration and production takes place is under development.”

Idahosa promised that the present administration would explore all avenues and liaise with relevant agencies of government to ensure that the benefits from the assets in Edo State were restored to boost socio-economic development.

Idahosa, who inspected the disputed oil wells in the company of the General Manager, Government Relations, Seplat Energy, Mrs. Adiza Gambati, appealed to the people not to take the law into their hands as the matter would be given the needed attention.

The community youth leader, Charles Eghaghe, expressed satisfaction over the prompt response by the state government to find an amicable resolution to the injustice meted out to the Orogho community.

He noted that since 1993, when Shell Petroleum Development Company began operation in the disputed oil wells, royalties were paid to the Edo State Government in addition to corporate social responsibility.

He, however, noted that things changed when Seplat Energy Plc took over the operations of the oil wells.

Eghaghe appealed to the government to urgently return the disputed oil wells to the state, as most youths of Orogho who were graduates had no jobs.
