A 22-year-old tricycle rider, Auwalu Salisu, has returned N15 million that was forgotten by a passenger who came from Chad to buy goods in Kano.

Salisu, a resident of Yankaba in Nasarawa local government area of the state metropolis, returned the money after hearing a message about the missing money on a radio station in Kano.

The money, N15 million when converted, includes;

10.130 million CFA and N2.9 million.

He said after discovering the money, he informed his parents who ordered him to go and look for the owner.

“I took the man from Badawa to Bata. I went back there after informing my parents. When I reached there, I didn’t meet him and I kept searching.

“I went back home and gave the money to my mother who kept it inside her wardrobe. I was afraid because I was eager to hand over the money back to the owner. I had no intention to touch a penny. it’s not mine, as such prohibited for me,” he said.

While he and his parents were thinking of the way out, he heard an announcement on radio and a number was given to reach to the owner.

“I heard the announcement on Arewa Radio, and they gave a number. I called the number and the owner said he will come to our house, but I said no. We should meet at the Radio Station. We met there and I gave him his money.”

Salisu, who was accompanied by his parents, said he had no intention to touch the money despite the difficult situation they were facing at home.

“We barely cook two times in a day, even yesterday we couldn’t cook while the money was with us,” his father said.

On his part, the owner of the money said he never thought good people like the boy exists on earth, and that he had given up on the money.

Speaking through his brother, Musa Hassan, the owner appreciated the boy and his parents for raising him properly.

“I never thought these kind of boys exists on earth. I had given up already, but I got my money back. Alhamdulillah! I really appreciate him and his parents. They are facing difficulties but they didn’t touch even a penny from my money,” the owner said.

At the end, the man donated the sum of N400,000 to the boy as a token of his appreciation.

A trailer has crushed two students of the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) and one other to death in Ekiti state.

The tragic incident occurred on Friday, September 15, 2023, at the entrance of Ilupeju-Ekiti, a neighboring community of the institution.

According to eyewitnesses, the trailer had rammed into the bike which the students had boarded.

The bike man said to be an indigene of Oye-Ekiti was the third person who died along with the students.

The police in the state are yet to react as of the time of writing this report.


This comes barely a week after a 200-level student of the school, Atanda Modupe Deborah, was found dead two days after she went missing.

Deborah, who was a student of the Nursing Department, stream A, Faculty of Basic Medical Science, went missing after she went to study in the class on Monday night, September 4, 2023.

Her roommates declared her missing when she did not return from the night reading.

Her body was found buried in a shallow grave behind her faculty with her eyes plucked out on Wednesday, September 6, 2023.

Reacting to this incident in a statement on Wednesday evening, the Registrar of the University, Mufutau Ibrahim, ordered all students to vacate the campuses.

In a video shared on her Instagram page, the actress disclosed that she had been receiving incessant calls and messages from an individual who claimed to possess her nudes.

Lizzy Jay said these threats were intended to coerce her into a negotiation, but she emphasized that she would remain resolute in refusing to succumb to the blackmailer’s demands.

Recalling how her nudes came into the possession of the malicious individual, she explained that she fell seriously ill and had to take antibiotics that triggered severe adverse reactions.

The actress said she had shared pictures and videos of her condition with her doctor, who also happened to be a close friend. The doctor subsequently prescribed medication to address her health issues.

She suspected that the blackmailer gained access to the video by hacking into one of her email accounts, which then allowed them access to her Snapchat account where the video had been recorded.

She said, “I have been receiving calls for some days now from someone who claims he has my nudes. The video in his hands was the video I recorded through Snapchat when I had a reaction to a certain medication and I had rashes all over my body including my private part.

“I couldn’t have a physical examination with my doctor so I made a screenshot of the part I wanted him to see in the video. I sent it and deleted the video immediately. The man trying to blackmail me hacked into one of my email accounts and used it to gain access to my Snapchat.

Determined to take action against this malicious individual, she stated, “I will be visiting the police PRO to make a formal complaint and provide them with every detail and evidence I have connecting to the blackmailer.”

In her caption, she further emphasized, “For the past few days, I have received calls and messages from someone who claims to have my nudes. The calls and comments on my page are aimed at forcing me to a negotiation table to become a victim of blackmail”.

Popular Nollywood actress, Cindy Amadi, better known for her role in the lesbian-themed movie titled, ‘Ife’, is dead.

The producers of the movie, ‘Ife’, in a statement shared on its Instagram page, made the announcement.

“We are deeply and unbelievably saddened to learn about the passing of the actress Cindy Amadi, who played Adaora in #ìféthemovie.

“We cannot begin to imagine the pain and loss her family feels right now. On behalf of our entire cast and crew, we wish her family all the comfort they need at this time.

“Rest in Peace, Cindy. You will always live on in our hearts forever. Thank you for sharing your gift with us,” they wrote.

A 22-year-old boy has been hailed on social media after he became the youngest doctor in Ghana.

He has been identified as Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi.

The young boy was also praised on Twitter following the successful graduation of the 2023 class of medical students from the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

Also, “Congratulations Doc” is trending on the X platform in Ghana.

Kweku Boakye Gyamfi also took to his Instagram page to thank God for his new milestone.

He wrote:

“Finally Dr. Kwaku Boakye Gyamfi. Six long years are finally over. Thank you, God.”

Bishop Lawrence Osagie, the founding pastor of Powerline Bible Church, is dead.

The renowned clergyman passed on at age 65.

A statement released by the church via social media on Tuesday said he died on September 10 in Lagos.

The statement said, “In total submission to the will of God Almighty, the Powerline Bible Church Family announces the transition to Heaven of our father, founder, mentor, great teacher of the word, man of faith and God’s general, Bishop Lawrence Osagie.

“Bishop Lawrence Osagie, the founding pastor of Powerline Bible Church, passed unto glory on September 10, 2023 in Lagos at the age of 65 years.

“We thank God for the gift he gave us in our father, and we submit totally to our Lord Jesus Christ. He will surely be missed.”

A viral video which has stirred mixed reactions online captures the moment a pastor prayed for money to miraculously enter the bank accounts of members of his church.

He instructed the congregants during a retreat to raise their smartphones up high and commanded that their respective accounts be filled with funds.

The clergyman went on to mention some popular Nigerian banks and commanded the accounts to ‘receive miracle money”.

News reaching just now affirmed Prince Afolabi Ghandi Olaoye has been approved as Soun-elect.

A very reliable source in the Oyo state Governor’s Office informed that the letter was signed as far back as Thursday this week along with some others.


STAR POTTER broke the news that the nomination of Ghandi might have been approved by Governor Seyi Makinde that the letter to this effect was signed this morning along with several others.

However, further investigations have revealed that the letter approving Prince Ghandi was actually signed on Thursday by the governor.
