I don't have a good excuse for not coming in all these days, so I will just apologize

Firstly @sasi...u see its not uncommon for our dhs not to feel the pressure to sit at the feet of our Maker as much as we do.
However, sometimes all they need is our prayers and a small nudge in the right direction...
Why not make him take ownership of the prayers and see how it goes.

Our DHs are our strength and when they get weak, we need to put commit them to God's keep and urge them till they find their feet again...its not easy really, that's why we must be praying wives/mothers.

On Wednesday I told DH that I received word from a random bible reading that we should pray together on the 13th, 14th and the 15th days of the 12th month and give thanks on that 15th day.
He agreed quite alright, but he didn't really take it serious. He didn't call for prayer and only prayed when I asked him to. Another time he asked me to pray for us instead.
I kept praying privately for both of us.

But in the early hours of this morning, I asked him to pray 4 'his' child since its the last day....it was such a beautiful prayer that I hugged him afterwards with teary eyes.

He even introduced the baby to the family, told him/her that mummy is the most wonderful woman in the world that he/she will love, and that he knows mummy can't wait to meet him/her in due course. He said that his name is daddy and that he figures he is an okay guy too and so he's sure that baby will also love to meet him.... Etc.

In other news, the devil gave a diagnosis that I rejected. In all the scans I hav been having, there's never been any Fibroid found. Then I went to scan for a pain in my lower right abdomen and nothing was seen to be wrong...but the guy saw a 2.2 whareva Fibroid somewhere 'up' of my uterus and said it won't affect the baby. While I await my next appointment with my dr, I calmly rejected the diagnosis in my mind!

But like alwaystrue said sometime ago, I will accept only the good (which will make me start eating healthy...for the benefit of the baby) and reject the bad!

@zenoj, congrats ooooo!! That you have crossed the first trimester. That is awesome...can't wait to get to where you are... Where I can clearly feel my baby moving.

@pinky. Thanks jare am trying to eat...and I think I have started adding weight again. But I can't believe it o! That am past 2 months and haven't thrown up once...thot I'd be vomitting all over the place but I guess I was wrong...or not yet atleast.

Hi pink....if you don't have appetite den you have to ensure that your baby is getting the necessary nutrients.
The baby actually gets the nutrients first that whatever is left is for you. So if you are eating just enough then it will be okay.
But if you feel that you are not eating well enough then you may have to find a way to drink your food.
Make fruit smoothies and drink this. Take a walk if you can on an empty stomach and you will be hungry. Then eat a little of what is available b4 the loss of appetite returns.
Also you may have to cut back on the fish intake dear. Browse to see what fish is good for you (cos of mercury) and what isn't. I think there is a daily quota of fish or shellfish that you should take on a weekly basis.

The one I noticed is that am hungry and eating rather frequently but still losing weight. Am currently weighing 79 plus from the 80 plus I went up to few weeks ago.

The worst (or should I say the best) is that am not really having any MS, except when I perhaps take drugs/injections.....den I feel a bit queasy for a while till I put something spicy in my mouth.

The truth is that many of us couldn't really move on to other pregnancy threads for various reasons and felt bad about posting continually bout baby things on our home thread...hence this thread. @mamatriplets. While we await the response of the medical gurus please stop anything that is putting preesure on ur lower tummy.
Any panties that have elastic and doesn't come up to the navel, set aside.Me I didn't wear panties for the week leading to my bfp. That can be chalked down to some of the mumu 2ww behaviours I know but as God will have it, it paid off
Also don't do any strenous routines o!! We no need to watch weight using exercise during 2ww.

Don't wear tight clothes that press on ur womb area.

@all so much going on here. Sorry to be mia for a couple of days now. I was going thru a rough patch that got me petrified that my baby was no more.
But thank God that is not the case.
I experienced a slight discharge that was fleshy and stretchy..much like when ishon meat is chewed den brought out.
It was accompanied by an off and on clenching pain at my lower left back.
I was afraid cos I also stopped feeling pregnant (no bloatedness or heaviness). To top it off, I poas (I had extra's cos I bought about 30 sticks to use for daily testing after my hcg test to determine when the hcg clears from the blood) and the line was fainter that b4.

I withdrew into a shell and was praying all night for mercy. Dh noticed my mood and by the early hours he saw me praying and berated me to always tell him wats going on cos we were in it together.

I explained everything to him and he started to fire prayer too!By the time I tested again, the lines had gone back to normal.

The next day I went to the clinic and ......the baby is okay... we saw a tiny hb YAY!!!!

I dunno if its the fact that I ran out of metformin and couldn't find time to replace my stock for about 4 days....I just know that my baby was almost gone and that God gave us back our peace and that we must keep the flames of prayer burning all thru this pregnancy.

I want to believe God that this issue needed to be aired and that's why it came up again. Finally its out there and everyone knows each other's stand on the matter.
At this point, I want to step in and say the following;

1) Believer, alwaystrue has apologised and I know she will not bring this up again. She has knelt, she has teased, she has joked. Please even if you are still upset with her, kindly accept the apology of her, seanbell, myself and everyone else and forgive this question.... PleasePretty please?

2) There is no need for anyone to leave this thread for any reason. We are praying for other sisters to join and you are all free to come by faith. So alwaystrue, omonikiba, ebony, etc..kindly do not leave us we are one!

3) Alwaystrue, am sure you wouldn't have asked again if you had known she actually delibrately ignored the question the first time and had no intention to talk to you about it. I know a little about your kind of person as you know and I know you tend to want proof that God has answered your prayer for someone without knowing that all that christianity and faith that is so different from everybody's may actually offend...please keep edifying people without seeming to compel people to see things your way.That way your faith cannot be held up to light and criticised. My mother found this out the hard way. Now she is a better evangelist,she just prays for people and leave them and the Lord has not held His hand back from blessing her. An example is my bfp! It was when I prayed for God to give my mother a gift of a grandchild thru me if He truly appreciates the suffering and ridicule she has endured because of Him, that I got my bfp. The same day even!
Recently I prayed during my midnight prayers for God to stop her suffering on a particular issue even if He doesn't want to give her personal wealth, or does He not love her...etc and the next day, she called out of the blues to say 'my daughter, help me thank God o!!!He has done it miraculously'

4) Am saying this to explain that alwaystrue was very very wrong to ask again, in my opinion...but her faith should not be ridiculed cos God holds different people to different standards.....He forgave david what he would not have forgiven others, He gives some people stricter measures to live to and when they violate it, things go wrong..meanwhile others may have it easier. Alwaystrue is also here to learn lessons of life. Maybe she will be a Pastor some day..its all this that will guide her relationship with people as a minister of God so let's open our heart and forgive as we have chastised!

5) @believer, if you had responded to my email request, you'll know I have always supported your decision...I will always do and like I said, I love your faith...please if you leave this thread I go vex pass seanbell! Na wetin na? So if you vex for one person you don automatically vex for everybody? Which kin tin be dat? We love you tire....if you tell her to back off that first time and she ask again, dats different na..maybe she thot you didn't see her question. Please let's all forgive and forget. The hormones of the ttcers are similar to the hormones of the preggymammas...so tempers will definitely fly! But we show our love for God in the way we forgive one another. Regardless of how upset we are let's not say hurtful things. Can we please hug and make up? I mean all of us please?

7) @all this life is a learning process...if we don't quarrel, we may not learn. I love champ for one thing she did. When tempers flew in the ttc thread about pregnant woman coming to say things, she came one day and said 'am sorry I know am not supposed to post here but I can't seem to move on and I want to share my joy with my sisters....' and she posted the picture of her Ultrasound Scan and the baby...she was congratulated and others started to come back after that. So you see, we will fight!But we will make up...cos we have been thru much together than even with our families!!!So let's cross the finish line and stay there to cheer others on please

This thread was created because within the past few months the spiritual bond btw us had grown so much that we wanted a place where we could discuss pregnancy and still have that culture of firing prayer for our waiting sisters and each other!!
A lot of us can't move on to the other pregnancy thread cos of this bond and dats why we are always close to the ttc thread. But we understand that not everyone would appreciate us being in their faces....so we only made an extension of the ttc thread for everyone.
I look forward to the day when all the names you mentioned (minus zenoj ofcourse) would be here! That day my joy would be complete!

The Lord of host is our refuge and strength...a very present help in the times of trouble and He lets us know this at every turn. Look at Hebrewwoman, she left akata with flat belle and she has returned with a bump! God just brought her to naija, put baby for her belle then took her back safely! How awesome is that?

@Ipio... I am praying so hard for you. It will happen sooner than you think. I sent you mails when I first got the bfp,but didn't get any response, not just you, to several other sisters too cos I had wanted to share my story privately but no need for that anymore...I am waiting eagerly for the day.

Right now udoka may not be browsing (fingers crossed that she isn't) and so cannot see our encouragement. So please can we just remember her in our prayers?For God to give her the strength she needs to rebuke the devil so that he shall flee?

@champs..thanks for clarifying about the blood clotting thing. When I went paranoid bout not taking pregnacare anymore, dh kept asking why. I didn't know how best to explain that I don't know whether I have blood clotting issues and I don't care to use this pregnancy to find out.But is there a way to verify this?
Nigerian doctors rarely do blood testing during pregnancy except they think something is wrong, am even considering if maybe I should go to a lab and ask for the tests I want,just to be sure that all is well.

It took me one year to find this ttc thread and since den, I throwey my BandB password cos I realised that I preferred a site where I could ask 'can I eat fufu when am taking clomid or is ewedu good for hormonal imbalance?' without necessarily confusing everybody.

Bed rest may be all you really need. I rested for 5 days after the bfp. Anytime I cramp, back to the bed I run! And I was cramping badly like af was coming. But whenever I sit or lie down, it subsides!
Please take a break from work..let ur dr give u atleast 3days off.Spend all your thots imagining the baby and baby things. When u are tense, you may start to cramp so please declare that the baby is in the hands of God and imagine it in your minds eye! You will see that you won't be afraid anymore cos you trust God to be the only one that can hold something and the devil will NOT come near. You are simply a vessel to carry a child that belongs to God, no one that harm that child IJN!

I dunno what it is but I join my faith with urs to say NOT THIS TIME!

Ofcourse its not easy to not test! I doff my cap for udoka cos she has a mind of steel! I love ur resolve udoka..faith like that isn't easy to come by.
Fruitful about that sleeping thing...I am usually wide awake from midnight to about dawn. So I use the time to pray for our sisters who are still waiting on God and to commit LO into His able hands.
But after a while you will find yourself dozing off in the afternoons.

@pinkdaisy. Welcome on board. Some people take Pregnacare and are ok. I took it till 7 weeks b4 I saw the post on vit K. I asked my dr for an alternative and he suggested Ferobin Plus by Fidson abi Finlab.
Am still looking for it. I saw the blood tonic but when I took it last night, I was irritated by the taste (sugar things) and I couldn't put anything in my mouth so back to the streets to look for the capsule.

Udoka my doctor prescribed Ferobin that was mentioned in ilovemi's post. I don take torch light find am tire for big pharmacies i no see. so i jejely went to a reputable neighbourhood pharmacy and they atleast knew the drug but were out of stock. that means i need to modify my search to normal pharmacies cos i think its made by fidson lab(makers of astymin)

Udoka i have started wearing slightly bigger clothes cos my old work clothes were fitted. people havent noticed anything yet and i dont want them to.
Just wear slightly bigger tops den put a belt under ur bust. the belt will camouflag the size of the top and putting it under ur bust will give ur womb area much needed unrestriction.

@HW..pele o! 16hrs is not a joke! Rest your legs please so that the swelling can go down. If u can, den reduce your salt intake, drink plenty of water, or sit often with your feet up. Ice also helps if its painful.

As for me, am eating more than usual these days though I can't stand sugar except inside Ijebu garri(I suspect that if I don't take tym na sugar go first make me throw up. Yesterday I chewed a bubble gum that was very sugary and was miserable till I could eat something spicy).

Please I read on the ttc thread and online that Pregnacare has vitamin k and I would like to stop it.
But am taking metformin and dunno which multivitamin I can take in place of pregnacare.

As at today I have stopped taking it...just need a replacement cos I doubt I eat healthy enough to give me all the vitamins I need.

He didn't think it necessary for me to continue so as I'm dey talk I just dey look am dey nod..for my mind I say 'na you sabi!Stay there dey talk! I go take this medicine this first trimester..who tell u say e fit affect baby? You think say I never browse crase commot for the drug body b4 I start to take am..etc?' Lol

WELCOME TO DECEMBER 2012!!!

I remember the first time I found out that I was pregnant. I just finished praying fervently and by faith I went to piss on a stick. I was pretending to ignore the hpt stick because the indicator had gone past the space where the positive line should be. I figured it was early yet.

As I leaned forward to wipe my womanliness I saw a faint line, I lunged for the stick and brought it up..the line was getting more visible. By the time I stood up, the line was faint but still there!

I immediately went back to the place I was praying and started declaring that as Elijah saw the cloud the size of a man's hand and believed God for a rainstorm, so will I believe that this is my miracle!

Thereafter I removed my panties and for one week I no wear pant make elastic rubber band of manufacturer no press any where by mistake.

When I got back from work the next day, I tried again, it was darker. I kept pissing all thru that week and it was getting darker and darker each day. I can't say how many times I wept for joy!

By the time I got the positive blood test, I felt like I had a new lease on life cos everywhere was just bright and sunny even when rain dey fall!

My testimony is on the TTC thread..you can read how the devil tried to lie to me at a point.

But inspite of the joy, I was worried because of the cramps (or lack of it sometimes).

If not for the encouragement of Hebrew Woman, and Seanbell, I would be freaking out. Me, with all my browsing skills, needed to hear a fellow naija babe wey don waka this road with me b4 I could rest.
As for udoka...You did so much for me that I cannot say...I am so happy about your testimony. Yes!The Lord is set to surprise all the ladies in the TTC thread this year and I pray that everyone will partake in the distribution of blessings IJN amen!

This thread is for ladies who are now pregnant (or think they may be pregnant) after trying to conceive. Mothers are also welcome to share their experiences with us as they have been down the road we are currently on!

You know.....when you get that bfp news,or see those lines on an hpt, there is a feeling of joy that comes over you! It also comes with a level of fear cos you don't know what is happening to your body.

But experiences shared here will help every lady get over that fear or atleast understand her body better.

Please we will also fire prayers on this thread for our sisters that are still in God's waiting room, as well as for the pregnant mothers because we would not be here without God!So devil..PLS KEEP OFF!!

Am fine o! Just praying fervently that the Lord should cover this pregnancy till childbirth.

I have gone for me 1st scan...no be small thing! I missed my doctor's appointment so I decided to go to a lab that my clinic uses. Cos I and dh were waiting for the scan before we break the news to our mums.

The guy scanning saw embryonic sac,e dey find foetus e no see!

I and DH were watching the screen quietly and answering all his 'are you spotting? Are u cramping, do u discharge, have u bled since you missed AF, etc,' questions.

At the point where he decided to stop and print out 'his result' I asked him....

"So what have you seen?"

"I can see the embryonic sac but there is no fetal pole....blah blah blah maybe you will come back in a few weeks to..."

"OGA!!!My doctor had previously seen an embryo last week..please recheck!"

"I doubt that, shey you can see that there noth.....oh wait I can see something....oooookay that's a yolk sac..But you know that we didn't see it b4 blah blah blah...but its there. That's your baby, so your due date blah blah blah..."

The guy wanteds to gives highs bloods pressures to me and DHs!

This just goes to show that the devil will try anything once! Have they given u a doctors report that makes it seem that your miracle isn't gonna happen? Reject it and pray first that the Lord should give you His own report!

If I didn't reject the yeye technician's report, the next thing may have been something like embryonic sac is empty blah blah blah, evacuation recommended!

Don't be pressured to tell anyone...but make sure u keep praying!

If you want to exercise faith and not test, then pray and pray and pray, we will pray along with you! If you want you can start the progesterone by faith too!

Or u can go to a lab that is not close to anywhere u have been and do a random test before you start the progesterone!

A lot of us are rooting for you here babe but as always true said, if you don't wanna spill it YET....by all means don't!

At this time, you need to be declaring with every spare breathe that 'am pregnant in Jesus Name'!

@Omonkiba. Well maybe the pap smear can pick something but basically it checks for cervical cancer. The HVS is a swab test done for various reasons.If the hvs done for the pap smear is not gonna be used to investigate for infection,then you need a seperate hvs to check for infection.
The high prolactin is usually treated with bromo.criptine. I was on one daily and was supposed to treat for three months but I got the bfp in the second month.

This cycle like the previous one, I was on clomid bromegon and metformin. But the different thing I did was that the day I first got the +ive hpt, I came back from work early and prayed and cried cos someone had assumed 'wrongly' that I was pregnant when I was already getting ready for AF!! I asked God for forgiveness of sins and said that I knew it was because He had not given me a baby that I didn't have one. I said that He should not look upon my sins, but that He should please look upon the righteousness of our mothers who have been praying for us and give them Grandkids through us...I told Him that I have nothin to give Him cos He is the giver and that all I had was my praise...that He should have mercy upon me and accept my praise IJN...I promised to take care of my mum cos I know she has suffered for His sake and that even at that she will die b4 she testifies against Him, that won't He please grant her the heart desire to carry her grand child from me.....etc!
IMMEDIATELY AFTER I FINISHED PRAYING I TESTED POSITIVE ON 4 HPTS!IT WAS THE LORD'S DOING!
