I booked for the Pre- Cas interview and the earliest date I got was 2 weeks ahead and after the interview it took exactly 5 working days for the CAS to come out.

How long did it take from the time you made your deposit please?

Good morning. Is this really advisable? I mean counting 28days when CAS is yet to be issued... I'm asking this cz I heard it takes time to issue CAS sometimes.

yes you still have time, one thing you can do while waiting is if your funds is readily available, you can Lodge it now for 28days count, so that wen admission comes and you pay tuition deposit if applicable, then you wouldn't need to wait for like a month again counting 28 days, you will just send statement for CAS issuance of POF is a requirement to get cash with your school, also you can do TB test and if you happen to get offer for another school other than the one you use for the TB test, then you can go and reprint TB certificate to reflect your offer school, Tuition deposit, TB and 28 days count are the time consuming process most times

Which means the address I'll put is that of the school I have chosen, not where I will be staying. Is that correct?

You can go for your TB test now and put any of the two school address you have gotten unconditional offer, if at the end, SHU responded and you choose them or you decide to go to Birmingham, you can walk into IOM to change your address and do a reprint of the TB certificate.

The reprint is 11k I guess if you wouldn't mind.

I have unconditional offers at 2 unis already and I can go for any even without the SHU or UB responding fast.
I'm particular about going for the TB test which I already booked while waiting for other outcomes. I know TB test expires in 6months too.
Can I do the test with the address I intend to stay at and start my 28days POF afterwards?

According to a previous response by my oga at the top @justwise he advised that you get the Unconditional Offer before TB test since it has an expiry date.

I would advise that you start counting the 28 days pof as soon as possible if truly you are looking to join this September 2021.

I'm particularly waiting for SHU's unconditional offer even tho I already have unconditional offers from other schools. I already booked TB test for this month (June) and I've not started counting my POF since I'm not sure yet which of the schls I'll go for.

A family I'll be staying with in Birmingham wants me to apply to UB because it's closer to the house which I just did yesterday. I don't know how long it will take to get response from them.

My question is, should I just go for the TB test as already planned with the family's house address in Birmingham, even tho I've not made a decision on which school i'll go for? Or must I have decided on a school before going for the test?

No, Its not. I got this same mail yesterday even after I already sent the conditions mentioned on my offer.
I believe you're waiting for the unconditional offer from SHU, I am still waiting for it too. But this definitely doesn't look like it.

My opinion tho. I might be wrong

I applied since March and got a reply last week. I guess the time varies. Be patient, it will come.

For accommodation, I have someone I can stay with in Birmingham or Coventry (Was told its about an hour journey from each of schools I mentioned). So, that's quite settled.

Was thinking SHU, but I just got an information that it's a must to pay half of the tuition on enrollment

Not all UK cities get plenty student jobs o. If you will really need income almost immediately you enter, please read and ask plenty questions abeg. Don't just jump at Uni offers unugo?

Some areas have cheap accommodation and Unis, but 3-6months you may not get student jobs. And rent dey there.

Honestly UoG is a very good university in Scotland. I will suggest you work with your budget. But if you are capable, it's a choice.

Got an unconditional offer at University of Glasgow, September intake 2021. I didn't realize the fee was so high at first so I applied for the scholarship but wasn't shortlisted.

What's the best advice anyone can give?

I've applying to other schools with more affordable fees but yet to get response from any and I don't know how long this will take.
