I got your reasoning though,, but it still didn't satisfy the points I raised.
Carton flames are not supposed to be as reddish as shown in the photos.
Secondly, the cartons are supposed to be stacked up inside the container, thus, incomplete combustion is highly expected, even if the cartons got burnt in an open space.. (But here, everything got totally burnt inside an enclosed container).
Thirdly, silica-gel or any other absorbent chemicals are generally low in their combustibility. So, who is that manufacturer who knows how important the Smart-Card-Readers are to Nigeria and decide to package it with highly combustible packaging material??

As for the bolded statement above, you need to do the demonstration by yourself..
Find a POS device that is no more in use, and set it on fire using lots of papers and cartons as the only fuel.. You can stay in an open place in order to get enough oxygen.. Then capture the whole types of flames in pictures.
Make sure you also capture the bluish/greenish flames that would be coming from the burning of the POS device itself,, and not just the reddish-yellowish flames that come from the burning of the papers and cartons alone.
