justwise: Its not any different, like i said before success stories here started way before the mock interview, you don't provide a solution for a non-existing problem I assume you are speaking from the view of an employee of nairaland and not from the view of the applicant's/stakeholder. Remember, one thing is to read/study for exams and another thing is to practice what you read for better and real-life understanding |

djavu82: I got my I-20 last week which included 3 dependents. I used my brother as my sponsor. But the school only offered my $1,200 scholarship saying i need to resume 1st to get G.A however, it can only be against the next fall.
This means i have to foot some un-prepared bills. Based on this, I want to defer the admission to enable me prepare funds against next fall (2018 fall).
Note: I have a family tourist visa (my self and my 3 dependents) which we got this year and have not used.
My Questions: 1. Should i proceed to get the F1/F2 visa now or wait until next year when am ready to go before applying for the F1/F2 visa since i already having a standing visa (b1/b2) which i cant still decide to use anytime.
2. What is the best advise u have for mi generally before i take any decision now.
Thanks If you can't afford to foot the F1 bills for now, then the the best advise is to defer till you can afford it and while at that, you should go use your B1/B2 for more travel experience because the embassy might ask you why you didn't make use of the B1/B2 when you later go for F1 My 20 kobo |

electronic: I don't think you understand why most people on this platform get their VISA, if you did you wont be replying in that manner. I miss TWOODS .. to increase your chances, you must identify every possible RED Flag! and try to understand how to work it out. I am not rooting for some kind of arguments. I just try to correct people not to predict who gets a visa or not. Anyone can be given a visa depending on how the VO feels about the person. Some are qualified and got denied visas, some got visa just because the VO likes their face and composure, others get it because they did their work right. It varies and not too serious of a thing to be predicting who gets it or not |
Travel › Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by PrinceDekunle: 12:37pm On May 18, 2017 |
Mayflowa: Granted, the eventual decision lies on VOs but some of us that have stayed here for long know when a red flag is waved. That is why we are able to help people prepare here. And I said "hardly". That isn't a foreclosure. I disagree with you. The fact that you were granted a visa and living in the US doesn't mean you have any knowledge of how the US diplomatic mission works. You are a "foreign student" in the US who was given access to study in the US because the VO found you eligible. NOT a diplomat! Let's advise people on possible solutions to their problems and not predicting who gets a visa or not. You are not in any position to say such. |
Travel › Re: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 11 by PrinceDekunle: 6:33am On May 18, 2017 |
Mayflowa: This is the truth, you would hardly be granted a visa on another master that is a version of the first. It makes no sense to. Only a VO knows who deserves a visa. Nobody has a clue on who to and who not to be granted a visa. Let's be mindful of our predictions. What if he ends up getting a visa and someday re-read this comment of yours? He'll only smile at your ignorance |

ZarZar: If he loves her, he should continue to date her. Learning English is not quantum physics. If his is good, chances are, she'll pick up a word here & there over time, thus improving her understanding of it. From observation, people who spend a lot of time together tend to mirror each other. I remember some time ago, someone mentioned that me & a friend of mine have the same laugh. LOL! I've never paid attention to that before but apparently we copied each other, unintentionally. After what the lady said, I started noticing it in different people eg. couples. Most couples share the same vocabulary/expressions, that's why you can tell easily when someone's been hanging around a new crowd or person...they start to speak differently or use "unfamiliar" words. Good point. My couz does relates with her in English and when the conversation is getting longer, she responds in Yoruba even I do try that whenever I'm around them and she would respond in Yoruba so I'll have to blend with her as a shy guy that I am. This one pass me. My couz is a nairalander I hope he doesn't find out about this Lol. He'll kill me. |
