collynzo2: Nobody said Nigeria is better than the US. Why are you boasting of America when neither you nor your fore fathers contributed in making it what it is today? Having an American passport is not enough, anyone can own it after meeting certain requirements. Even those who came as illegal immigrants.

If having blue pali is not an achievement, why is it that a vast majority of our celebrities are always traveling to America to give birth so that they can have the blue pali for their children?

It is not that big of a deal to have a blue pali, but let's be real and acknowledge that having a blue passport makes traveling easier, as you don't have to apply for visas to travel to many countries.

omanzo02: Op,

Stop being stvpid, passport are to be tender at control post when required and not to be flaunted or used for swag, even travelling agencies advice u to keep your passport in a secure place to avoid forgetting, damaging or carelessly losing it, even my European passport is to be tender at the appropriate post and not to flaunt for people to see.

waka. If I catch you, I will give you a dirty slap with the back of my hand. Can you comprehend the main point of the topic? I guess no.

People still flaunt passports, especially UK and American pali. So don't come here and start yarning nonsense.

I bought a blue one on my last trip to Nigeria, the minute they opened the biodata page they experienced the name I was trying to hide....FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA, and the smile disappeared from the guy's face. grin

But it was a good way to hide it from fellow travellers

Na was ooo. How were you attempting to hide the Nigerian part of the biodata? By placing your finger on it?

valicious1: and this made FP? sad : sad @OP just cos you shamefully hide your Nigerian passport doesn't mean others do same. i openly display my passport whenever the need arises whether consciously or unconsciously. i've never been harrassed or intimidated cos of my Nigerian passport and i've sworn that whenever am under such circumstance in any country whatsoever i would create an uncontrollable dangerous scene.

You must be smoking Indian Hemp to assume that I shamefully hide my Ngerian passport.

Health / Re: Why Do Kidney Transplant Abroad When It Can Done In Nigeria? by Princek12(m): 11:00pm On Jun 30, 2013

my brother , there are standard procedures which must be taken and for our institutions to have carried out almost 90% successful kidney transplant that means they know all these procedures and they rigorously adhere to it. dont forget most of the doctors doing this surgeries are CONSULTANTS FOR MANY FOREIGN HOSPITALS , you need to see what our doctors can do , go to the Caribbeans nigerian doctors are not joked with , they are in high demand even in the usa

http://allafrica.com/stories/201210050044.html

http://nigeriavillagesquare.com/people/nigerian-named-among-top-american-cardiologists.html

I never said Nigerian doctors, if given the requisite training and experience, cannot perform these surgeries. What I have said is that Nigeria lacks the schools to provide world class training and lacks the infrastructure.

That Nigerian doctors fare well in Caribbean and USA is old news. Many of these Nigerian doctors are either trained abroad or received additional abroad before they got their foreign licenses. We are not talking about what Nigerian doctors are doing overseas; we are talking about what they are doing at home.

Many patients in Nigeria have to travel to India for surgeries because the expertise at home is lacking. And most, if not all, Nigerian doctors who have the expertise to perform these surgeries are abroad making big money.

i think u need to google human organ trafficking ,
donors abound for human organ for as little as 600 to 1000 dollars
this is just a tip of the iceberg
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2012/may/27/kidney-trade-illegal-operations-who

You have just confirmed my point. Organ trafficking is not a viable and sustainable system for a country that wants to safely and adequately provide organs to those in need of organs.

You have to do proper medical testing to determine that the recipient will be the right match. You also have to harvest the organs almost immediately, store the organs on ice or in a machine, and transplant it into the recipient in line. Sometimes this has to be done in a matter of hours.

How can you then go find a donor in India? Kidney transplant is probably one of the few exceptions, where you can remove a kidney from someone who is alive and willing to donate one of his or her kidney. As to the other organs, a viable donor system has to be in place for safety.

Do you think you can just go to buy a liver, lung, or heart like you buy goat meat in the meat market?

To all those praising the expertise of kidney transplantation is Nigeria, by the way, is there a system for organ donation in Nigeria? A system where an organ donor is identified upon death and the organs are removed and given to the next recipient in line.
