Clemzy, first of all, thanks for reading my "story" if you can call it that & I'm glad it was spell binding enough for you to read it to the end. Everything I wrote here is just for fun, I wasn't planning to attract this much attention. I wrote it because I'm a 200L student who is currently stuck at home because of ASUU. Anyways, I'm done with hating now. smiley I'm checking your story now smiley
you deserve kisses honeysmiley

Poems For ReviewRe: One Poem For The Road by princesa(op): 10:31pm On Nov 18, 2013
I wrote this few days ago, when my road was terribly fraught with anger, hopelessness and unbelief. But today? Oh well *shrugs*

I stare into oblivion
wishing for an end to this boredom
The future they so speak about,
wishing it'd kiss me already on my feet!

'This too shall soon pass'
He says and hold my hands
My feeble heart clenched at his parting word
But now i feel its tearing pieces.
All hopes tumbling in different forms -
breaking like scattered pieces of the sand

My feet are now weary and hurt
gushing red water from where they pierce my soul -
These sands of angry thorns
Torn out from the bloom of my budding hope.

I shall yet remain on this fall
wishing the sands grow out as knives -
cutting my mind
Piercing my toes
cutting my life
Erasing my notes
Drowning this wasted existence I seem to call life
Leading me to the light of men's aftermath

Where's the supernatural? I finally ask.
This hope we build against every odds?
These words we speak on growling knees?
He who pours himself into our weaker bones?
Where's the supernatural!
Where's the supernatural! I scream!

Then...
A still small voice renders my soul
stills the troubles of my broken hope
'I am here' it silently speaks
'Am the tiny whisper in a raging storm,
I hear ur rant, i see your heart.'

but now...
Am still battling with unbelief.

Iko, would you stop already with the onomatopoeiac representation of the sounds in ur story?

First it was the siren wails you actually wrote down! Something like 'pa pum pa pum pa pum' huh

Okay, that wasn't it exactly right?, but you did represent the siren wail in words.

And now, the 'pow' representing a hit!

Maybe next would be 'pim Pim' representing the honk of a car? grin

When this is not 'Captain America cartoon'

Oh well, when i see them, i always smile and think it silly.

And that's my 2centsmiley

Daisy isn't attracted to bad guys, Jide was the love of her life, her teenage crush that became more.

She wanted to help save him like mama suggested, and maybe get him for herself before anyone else did.

Love make us do silly things.
LiteratureRe: Story: Taking Chances by princesa(op): 4:09pm On Nov 16, 2013
^maybe All her overdramatic tendencies was actually to convince Daisy more to go Marry Jide and maybe save him, remember she and Daisy are like mother and daughter and she had want no one else for her son, lets just say she was pre determined to get her favorite grandson settled with her favorite friend.

Grace wasn't in the family picture ever before the marriage, mama never knew her and Jide's father didn't even like her. Then, there was Jide who didn't pop the marriage question before Daisy was thrusted at him.

Grace was the bad loser in the whole game of love, so what more can I say, life itself is complicated. undecided
LiteratureRe: Story: Taking Chances by princesa(op): 3:56pm On Nov 16, 2013
chinedumo: If her highness won't be so pissed, The playboy i am refering to is life before marriage.

From chapter 7

i am yet to see the bad activities that jide was involved in that daisy helped him cure.

A start could be his temper.
for one, Mama was only acting on the words relayed to her by her son, she could have blown the description out of proportion just to get Daisy to agree to the marriage. Remember she's over dramatic?

And Like I said, It was just a week of careless adventure that had nailed Jide so, it might not totally be his everyday behaviour. He had a girlfriend, flirted when was required, didn't hang out much, he wasn't really a playboy. Maybe in his university days, but definitely not now/then.

And his temper, i think that was cured, or atleast mellowed down with the way he started acting of late...

Anything else? smiley
