RomanceWhat Do I Tell My Friend Now, Help? by Princessmel(op): 9:23am On Jan 04, 2014
I have been very good friends with this girl for 6 years and she is dating a boy who is 4 years older than us they have been together for about 5 months.

a couple of weeks ago I was at her house with a few other friends, i went into her bedroom to get my phone which was charging, And he was lying down on her bed. I apologized incase i caused any disturbance. he started getting VERY flirtatious, and grabbed my arm and pulled me onto the bed but i fell on top of him, he quickly turned me over so he was on top. I tried to push him off (but he was insanely strong, and 4years older) and repeatedly asked him what he was doing but he just kept grabbing me down and kissing me and putting his hands down my skirt.

I thought he must of been of been drunk or high, but i couldnt smell it off him. so i tried to scream and he finally let me go. I ran out of the room and left the house.

I've been ignoring my friend for the past 10 days and shes starting to get worried and ask questions...what do i say to her? undecided
RomanceUpsetting Painful Sex by Princessmel(op): 9:00am On Jan 04, 2014
i lost my virginity when i was 18. My boyfriend was pressuring me to sleep with him , saying that he had a hard on constantly and that he might hurt someone or kill himself if we didnt do it. (he had slept with other girls before) I was depressed at the time. I gave him presents, money etc but he insisted, sending me text saying don't come round if you don't do it.
i was tight i screamed and cried a bit, i said it was ok , eventually he did it, and i felt sore. and afterwards he was really happy, i just left straight away went home and cried. this is consent. but i feel so bad that i let him, it was upsetting and i just let it happen, i didnt want it to be like that.

I have really low self esteem i ve always been told i m unattractive and stupid, i guess thats why i didn't stand up for myself. it has been a few years, i m not with him, but i have never had a proper boyfriend since then and never been involved sexually with meaning with anyone since. i want a boyfriend, but nobody likes me in that way. just him. I know he has other relationships, i have deleted myself from facebook because i drifted from my friends too much and have not really met many new people.he did get very obsessive over me, telling me he loved me all the time. now i will never have anyone who will love me again like he did

not spoken to him in years, was thinking about contacting him, i d like to talk about stuff, i think i want him as a friend, is that ok?he always said he would be there for me , i have a horrible feeling he never was. cry

RomanceRe: But Why Do We Put So Much Weight On Marriage?! by Princessmel(op): 12:55am On Nov 07, 2013
dasparrow: Let me tell you why Nigerians make marriage a do or die affair. Many Nigerians force people to get married so that they will have a place to go to on Saturday where they will get free food and drinks at no cost to them. Most Nigerians cannot afford to travel the world, visit new places, have fun, etc. So the only opportunity they have to socialize is by going to weddings. So, if so many people stop marrying, Nigerians will no longer have a chance to obtain free food and drinks on Saturdays. You know poverty they say is a bytch.

The Nigerian-bred men force women to marry because many are lazy when it comes to domestic work. They cannot cook or clean up after themselves. Many are even too lazy to wash their clothes. In addition, the average Nigerian-bred male is a sex addict and needs vargina at his disposal 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. So, he desperately need a wife in his life at some point because he knows he will benefit from this institution called marriage more than the woman ever will. As a married man, he is automatically entitled to vargina no matter how tired the wife is, he is entitled to cooked meals, his clothes washed, his home cleaned, and a human incubator whom he can impregnate at will every year or every other year. So you can see that a Nigerian-bred man benefits much more from being married as suppose to staying a bachelor so why won't he cunningly put pressure on women to get married?

The Nigerian-bred woman gets married because she thinks she will have an easier life once she is married and earn societal respect. She feels she will be able to demand for money from the husband anytime she pleases. She also thinks that all that lovey-dovey she and her husband engaged in during courtship will continue even after the marriage. But then, reality sets in. The Nigerian-bred woman get's married and finds out the hard way that the grass is not greener on the other side after all. She discovers that society will still disrespect her if she does not bear children immediately. She finds out that her in-laws don't give a damn about her. She finds out that her husband is cheating on her with another woman. She finds out that the man is just there in the home like a trophy on the shelf. She the wife has to do all the cleaning, cooking, child rearing, helping out with the bills and still give the man sex after a long hard working day.

She finds out that society will still not respect her if she bears children that are not males and society will still stigmatize her should her husband die before she does. She will find out that everything she and her late husband ever worked for will be acquired by the male members of her husband's family who will come to the city promptly and take everything away from her leaving her and and her kids with nothing out on the street.

She becomes miserable realizing that her life would have been much better and peaceful if she had just stayed single and maybe adopted a kid or two. So, since misery likes company, she begins to torment single women wherever she can find them making them believe that their lives are not complete without marriage when in actuality, she is just looking for members to join her misery club called the marriage institution. Only insane people go into an institution. If you are sane, what do you need an institution for? Intelligent people know that marriage is for people who are addicted to sex and people who do not know what to do with their lives hence they need to attach themselves to another human being so they don't sink like a ship that has not been anchored.

dasparrow: Telling it as it is since 19 kokoroko.
Chop knuckle! Your head is correct grin

RomanceRe: I Have A Fear Of Dating Nigerian Men, Help! Please? by Princessmel(op): 3:30pm On Oct 31, 2013
mellad: My dear pls dnt mind d guys on Nairaland most of them are immature. I'm a Nigerian and currently dating a Ghananian.Despite all sorts I hear and read about Ghananian men, mine is different.I live in Nigeria while he is in Accra,we travel to see each oda and we love ourselves. What I'm saying in essence is that reality is different from social media.Meet a real and matured Nigerian guy and I'm sure u will love him not all dese bunch of ignorant people trying to degrade u. I av also met some Ghananian guys on social network who just opened their mouth saying trash but personaly I have found out that not all Ghananians are what I have read about dem and seenn. The few I have met are nice, caring and loving people. So no matter what I hear or see some Ghanians display der bad behaviour here,I rily don't care, its d persons's personality not the tribe or Nation. In conclusion my dear dnt judge the average Nigerian guy but what u see here,Nigerian guys are good
I think you're the only one here who is actually given me excellent advice, thank you so much smiley kiss
