Hope you are well? If one was given an indefinite leave to remain in 1989, and later moved back to africa with the family, applied for visa in 2007 and was given 6 months but visted the Uk same year for a period of 5 to 6 weeks due to work.

My question is, is the indefinite leave to remain given in 89 still valid and can be used.

Your urgent advice is needed please.

10hrs job are mostly cleaning jobs...2hrs Mon-Fri. Sure you can work longer than that during summer long holidays

I don't think there is any much you can do really, the rule is the rule, 10hrs for public funded colleges and 20hrs for university, its nothing new.

You can try AD and see how it goes.

Its actually a public funded college. No, not really I don't know any international student in the school with 20 hours working visa.

Oh okay. The school sent them an email today regarding the issue and they replied back saying I can go for an Administrative review, which the school said its a complicated process but they will assist depending on my decision.

Yes, I am studying in the UK, doing my degree and in my final year. I just extended my stay but the working hours on my biometric was stated incorrectly.

Since you have an existing visa you don't need to apply for extension, all you need is a new CAS from a new sponsor after canceling your current admission.

justwise: Like i have said to you many times before, you need to have this discussion with your school and have written confirmation of the cancellation or any other agreement reached between you and them because you will need that as an evidence in future.

I am sorry you had to repeat that explanation. I am totally confused right now and just want to make sure everything goes right. Please understand.

I will go to my school on Monday by God's grace and have this discussion with them and also get a written agreement.

Is it alright if the letter I get from the school is dated Monday, knowing that the school has been suspended, will it not affect my application?

I called the home office and it is not on the ukba website, meaning its been suspended and will be under investigations and this might take long.

I made some enquiries too and was told I could go ahead and enroll with the new school I got admission and apply for a tier 4 visa with the new CAS without needing a letter from my school.

justwise: You need to have a chat with your school and see if you will be allowed to terminate your admission and join Doncaster.

Okay if they agree, do they need to provide me with any letter? Will I still get my certificate from them?

I just spoke to the school, they sais the college has been suspended (they received the letter today) due to past students that were enroled at the school with toeic English test results. They are trying to make an appeal and hopeefully go to court, and that we should wait for a reply from them. Justwise,

justwise: Contact your school and UKBA to find out if they have been suspended.
