justwise: Based on the bolded part...you may not have problem....even though there was no stamp on it? |
justwise: Hmmmm....hands on heart i sincerely hope that you are given a visa but if you got refused then you got yourself to blame because you had all the time to go through this thread as i gave you the link months ago. i have paid the full fees so its only the maintenance fee of 7200 i had to show and the money was complete in my account on 31st of july, it didnt go below the required amount, transaction was made on the 27th of August (salary was paid in) and on the 28th i printed out the statement and applied the next day 29th.Honestly i really did go through the links and went through this thread from the beginning i got all the info i needed, i did asked about the 6mths statement but i guess u didnt see it. The bank was ready to print out just 28days but some1 said it was ok. i feel so bad right now. |
justwise: No its not ok, the rule stated clearly that the money should be kept in the account for 28days and not more than a month after the 28days. but the money has been there for 28days ![]() |
humble_dove: I believe 6 months is better. I printed exactly 28 days and was refused because the ECO counted from the first transaction on the statement thus amounting to 21 days. To be safer I think it's okay. Was your covering letter stamped? If it is, then you're okay. Even if it's not, remain calm & pray too. You've submitted already and all you can get now is a reply. Goodluck! Thanks dear, i am just too worried right now. Justwise please say something. |
justwise: Why 6months bank statement? i told them i need a statement of just 28days but when i received i saw a 6mths statement, was kinda confused though and i asked the question here and some1 said its not a problem, justwise i am worried now o.... please advice please ![]() |
justwise: Covering letter from the bank?Yea( indicating I've been banking with them etc etc thought it goes together with the statement?) plus a six month bank statement print out but I just realised it wasn't stamped. |
Justwise, someone mentioned bank statement and I just realised that mine wasn't stamped but the covering letter was signed a bit worried. Is there a problem? |
marcdeco: Hi guysInclude only those two documents listed in your CAS, you cannot use your sister's bank account so there won't be need for the birth certificate ask your sister to transfer the funds into your own personal account. You apply online and print out the form then attach all your supporting documents. NO SCANNED DOCUMENTS |
Do not go back, you are better off without him. The right man will come when you least expect him. |
marcdeco: Hi allDo you have the required money in your account? Has the money been there for 28days? |

MissTeeq: Afternoon all! I've been an avid follower of of this topic, though I've been a silent follower. I applied and did my interview on the 15th of August and after 10 working days I got my visa. I just want to join others and testify of the great things that are happening here. I have never actually posted a question I just read other peoples similar questions and answers and followed the advise. Thanks to all the people who answered the questions so gracefully and for those who asked questions too, you have both been so helppful. God has truly been good and I give him all the glory and praise. In about 2 weeks I'll be headed off to the University of East Anglia, is there anyone else headed there? To all of you still waiting. Your testimony will be next. Thank you all and God bless you.Amen at the bolded, amen o.... |

justwise: She missed the opportunity to apply for this when she was under 16 yrs of age since her mother was given a stay, her birth certificate does not mean a lot now interms of applying for passport or a stay because at the time when she was born her parents are not British or permanent resident permit holder. but she would have applied as her mother's dependant at that age, now as an adult, educated to that level its very difficult.Too bad, she was so much looking forward to applying for her passport anyways thank you. |
HOS13: Indefinite Leave To Remain (permanent residency) is different from citizenship. The Home Office keeps changing the rules for naturalization and you need to check the most recent one on UKBA's website. However, one thing I'm sure of is that being born in the UK does not automatically grant you to British citizenship(unlike the US)Oh ok... I understand, thank you. |
justwise: She can't, neither of her parents are British and she did not live in the UK for 5yrs as the rule stipulated then, so she doesn't qualify for British passport. Thanks justwise. What about the birth certificate then? She said her mum was given indefinite whilst they lived there. |
Justwise, a cousin of mine is currently in the UK for studies she went with a tier 4 student visa. Her parents once lived there some years ago till she was born in 86 but they later came back when she was around 2-3yrs old. She couldn't get her passport then cuz the rule then was, either your parents are UK citizens or the child lives there for 5yrs though she has her original UK birth certificate. She now wants to apply for her British passport do you think she can? How can she go about it plus what documents does she need to provide? Please advice justwise thanks. |
jennyfar: I thought I ought to download the forms and fillFill the VAF9 online, print out, sign and date it then print the Appendix 8 form and fill by hand with either blue or black pen. |
Saucy Dolph: Amen oooo....Na wa ooo...10working days. Let ours be like that in Jesus name, Amen. Lopmaidx expect urs tomorrowAmen ooo |
JideVince: The statement is okay. You can make photocopies of the forms for record purpose, nothing else. Thanks a bunch. |
lamie505: There will be no problem all they wanna see is the required funds and that the closing balance is within the month of your applicationA big relief. From the 31st of July to the 26th no transaction was made and it didn't show on the statement, the transaction of yesterdays salary 27th paid into the account showed and then the closing balance of today 28th. Is it okay? Also is it compulsory to make copies of the print out forms? Submitting tomorrow by God's grace wanna make sure nothing is missing. Thanks |
The bank printed a six month statement from February to date. The transaction did today showed as closing balance. Can the statement be used? Will it be a problem? |
lamie505: There is a way the bank will do it.. It can be july to august.. But the most important thing is that the last transaction you are about to do reflects that will be the closing balance.. UKBA will count your 28days from the last transaction upwards.. Hope you understand now?Yea i do, thanks a lot dear. |
lamie505: Yeah you can pay into your account and print but make sure you tell the bank official that it important the last transaction reflects in the statement.. But I always tell pple to get the statement before booking appointment to be on a safer side cos banks can be funny sometimes you know...Thanks dear will tell them. Just 28days print out right? |
28days maintenance is complete today and appointment tomorrow, can a little amount be paid into the account and print statement today? Is it possible? |
JideVince: Type in your full name, as it appears on your passport. There is a space you'll sign after printing the form.Thank u just did. If your 28days conting is complete today and appointment tomorrow, can you pay a little amount and print statement the same day? |
bbash1045: i think i wrote my name in full then click nextThank you bbash. |
Justwise, on the last pasrt of the online application, a signature is required. If you click on next it says "This field is required" please help. |
i have paid the full fees so its only the maintenance fee of 7200 i had to show and the money was complete in my account on 31st of july, it didnt go below the required amount, transaction was made on the 27th of August (salary was paid in) and on the 28th i printed out the statement and applied the next day 29th.
