Don Oms: I don't think you know exactly all you need to know. You have to submit your application online, print it out, book an appointment, (you'll see the link after you submit application) then go to the VAC on your appointment day with all the necessary documents.
Your Application date according to VAC is the day you pay for your visa...having submitted your online application. Except I don't understand what your questions are, I'd advice you make a fresh post asking what you're confused about.

Don Oms: There is no part of the form that requires you to drop information about maintenance fee [you only do that on the Appendix 8]. Besides, when you save an online form without submitting, UKBA or FCO does not have access to the details...in fact, the details isn't forwarded to them until you submit. The idea is only to get the GWF number for early appointment booking in case you're running out of time.

Don Oms: Hello I need your advice. I paid my
tuition on wed and thurday the school said cas
take 3 to 4 days. Thus I can get my cas on 22 or
23. So can i book appointment then but my maint
money will reach 28 days by 26 or I should wait
still 26 to book the appointment.

Please read this carefully. If you're to resume on the 23rd Sept, and your money will be ready on the 26th Aug; Once you get your CAS, I advise you go over to the online application page & start your visa application. Once you get to the third or fourth page, click the "save application" button. They will send you a GWF number into your email (copy this number in a safe place)
and they'll warn you that the "unsubmitted" application will be deleted in 7 days. Now, go to the VFS visa appointment booking site and book the earliest
date with your GWF number and your CAS reference number. You must submit that application before the 7-day expiry or if your 28-day period will run beyond the 7-day expiry, just "login to complete existing application" after 5 days and add some more data and re-save to begin counting another 7 days. As soon as your 28 days is up, submit your application & print out.
The reason I'm giving you this option is so as to get an early date for appointment. However, U'll likely get a day less than 15-working days to 23rd Sept, so quickly mail your School and request for an extension. PLEASE!!! If you don't understand my advise, just ask me further questions or don't follow it at all; I don't want you doing something that will cost you eventually. I'm only trying to help.

Good advice, but what if there is a part on the form were there is a question about the amount of maintenance fee?

He is not applying in Nigeria but in Gambia and it is required there. Can he provide the school address?

lopmaidx: There is no TB test reqirement 4 Nigerians and 4 were He would be staying is d adress of d school since He is an international student He would be given an accomodation It doesn't matter if he has paid 4 it or nt al he has 2 show is d £7200 4 maintanance

Has anyone in here who has applied for student visa recently taken the TB test? A friend of mine is going for his TB test on Monday and he was told to provide an address of where he will be staying in the UK. He has paid his full fees but didn't pay for accommodation. He is confused on what address to provide. Please, if anyone has gone through this kindly advice. Thanks.

Hey Justwise,

I went through the previous thread and i saw most of the questions being answered. My friend got his maintenance fee complete on Tuesday the 17th he should be applying the 12th of August i guess he is using his mom's account, he is still waiting to receive his CAS on Monday though his school has agreed on an extension for two weeks (school was to start the 5 of Sept.) which will be included in the CAS letter.

Fees were paid in full.

Docs he will be submitting;

Cert. stated in CAS plus CAS

Study leave letter from employer plus his pay slips

His mom bank statement plus a letter from his mom also and his birth certificate (he bears the same surname but mum has a different surname spelling on the bank statement but though same pronunciation, hope it is ok with the birth certificate?) Its the same spelling on his birth certificate.

TB test results

Letter from his brother who is currently in the UK, he will be staying with him...

2 passport size pics

Application fee

TOEFL score

Hope we aint missing anything?

Thank you so much we went through the link and i got answers to all of my questions. Regarding late submission for visa i saw where u replied some1 to contact the school for an extension. We have done that and waiting for the school's reply.

He is paying his full school fees today. His worry now is can Salary for July ending be paid into his mother's current account whilst he is still counting on the 28days? Can he apply online a week before the 28days, when exactly can he apply? School opens the 5th of September 2013.

He said his mom is requesting for a print out from the back plus a letter and the later withdraw or transfer that money to the school for payment. Is it possible to use that print out of statement from the bank while applying for his visa? Can he print out his own account details?

A friend of mine got admission into a school in UK the school is requesting for full payment of fees. Meanwhile, his brother has agreed to assist him with accommodation.

If full fees are paid by his mother, how much does he need for a bank statement, what documents should he use for applying visa and what documents is his brother suppose to send?

Please help as school opens in September.
