Samantha Orobator fell pregnant four months after being taken into prison

A pregnant British woman faces death by firing squad if she is convicted of smuggling drugs at a trial in Laos, campaigners have said.

Prosecutors claim Samantha Orobator, 20, was in possession of 1.5lb (680g) of heroin when she was arrested at Wattay airport in Laos in August.

Miss Orobator was born in Nigeria but lived in south London from the age of eight. Her father lives in Nigeria and her mother and three sisters live in Ireland.

She had been on holiday in Thailand and the Netherlands before travelling to Laos.

At least 39 people have been sentenced to death in Laos since 2003

There are four main religions in Nigeria namely: Traditional, Christianity, Islam and Buharism. Most Nigerians practice more than one of the religions

Most Yorubas practice Christianity/Traditional or Islam/Traditional or Christianity/Islam. Most Igbos practice Christianity/Traditional while most Hausa/Fulani/Kanuri practice Islam/Buharism. Muhammadu Buhari is a Northern god just like Amadioha, Sango, Ogun.

Sowore lost election and turned himself to agent of insecurity. He will be with DSS for as long as the DSS wishes. Mind you, the DSS takes instructions from the President not from the Court so no Court can free Sowore. Also, the Supreme Court has ruled in the case of Asari Dokuboh Versus FG that national security supersedes human rights, so Sowore has lost his rights as human being for constituting himself into security risk
