kapelvej:
Congrats Bro. Please kindly help me with these questions
I have an urgent question concerning the Saskatchewan express entry program.
Although I am a medical doctor and my degree should be evaluated by Physician apply of canada. However, I am not applying as a medical doctor but as a health facility manager. I am not applying as a physician, So I do not know if I should use WES to evaluate my degree or it has to be through physician apply of Canada. Lastly, Is it possible to evaluate only my postgraduate degree ?, because I have a post-graduate degree from the Uk.
Thanks
I don't know if you quoted me or Philips49 but let me answer to the best of my knowledge. Since you have a postgrad degree, evaluate it, your MBBS is equal to an MSc on the ranking. So you said you are not applying as a physician, then your postgrad degree comes in.
It's from the UK, it'd be less stress and cheaper for you to evaluate using WES. Use one stone to kill two birds.

Ahh the pain ABU caused me.. I contacted the school for my transcript and was told i had an F on a major course and nothing will be done about it except i come down. I didnt wanna take a chance with ECA with an F on my transcript so i had to leave everything and travel many thousand miles back to school. This happened 5 years after graduation/convocation with my original certificate.
Damn! I weep for this nation. Ah! How can they say such nonsense!

Nooo. I paid for the transcript request just like any other school. But I didn't pay for the second verification.
Oh! That's different from what I explained. I didn't pay my oversea uni because the transcript is online. But FUNAAB still try sha.

I have to give accolades to my school FUNAAB. I applied online, the transcript got to wes in 2 weeks, they also responded to the second verification in 3 days without a dime and no followup. Isn't that wonderful?
This is impressive! Kudos to them.

I am hoping the verification won't that as much time. If it's to ge there and beg them, I will.
You should. The emotional trauma we go through is too much in this country. People are depressed, angry, hungry and desperate. Every sector is slow.

May Nigeria be great again!

Very sad situation. I would have gotten ITA on 2nd Oct if not for my University and the lady helping me with courier. I have requested for my transcript since July, and could you believe WES just acknowledged that they have received it just last week Tuesday. Since July.. and the sad thing is that they will send it back to them for verification.
On the other hand, my ACCA was so swift. All I did was to mail them on a Friday evening, and by the following week, they send it. They even mailed me a copy of the documents they sent.
And with points going up like craze, I don dey weak sef.
Wow! Since July? Universities here really need to step up their game. Verification again! Before they answer that one too, ah! E pass weak sef.

ACCA cost and anything expensive for this country dey better.

I really feel the pain of Nigerian graduates seeking transcripts. Thanks to the fact that only the highest educational qualification is to be evaluated, I'd have been facing same difficulty.

I only decided to evaluate my result last week Saturday, had my msc in the UK so the process is online. After making the payment to WES, I downloaded and filled their request form and sent it to my uni for awareness, shared the online token to access my transcripts with WES on Sunday and got a notification that they have been able to view it on Monday.

It's cheaper, I didn't pay my uni.
It's faster and more convenient, did it at the comfort of my room in less than 2hrs.
It's safer, no worries about any loss/delay.

Ah! My dear country, you suffer us a lot. No database for most things. Very appalling

Yes. it doesnt. You just need to show where the lump sum came from, which is transfer from your dad (eevident in statement), and a gift deed (notarized) to prove its not a loan.
Thanks a lot
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Prisscindy(f):
WaleCanada:
1. Yes, as long as period was up to 3years. I hope you had started working there before september 2016.

2. Offcourse. A gift deed from your father will do just fine. Do include statement showing inflow of the money from your dad. Do not forget a reference letter from the bank, and mutual investment certificate. You're very well on track.
1. It's Sept 2016 to Sept 2019.

2. So it doesn't matter if let's say for example, I got an ITA this October and he sends the money. Then gift deed, I show the inflow in my bank statement and also put it as a mutual deposit, same month?
TravelRe: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 9 by Prisscindy(f):
Hi gurus in the house,

I just embarked on my journey, started my evaluation with WES, will be writing IELTS next month and am not certain about some questions, though I have read through the previous threads.

1. I was working as a primary school teacher since 2016 but stopped this Sept. Can I apply as with the 3years work experience? Given that I am currently unemployed?

2. For my PoF, my dad has promised to give me money once I get the ITA, can I do the gift deed after ITA? Then put the money as mutual deposit? Given, I won't have 6 months for the PoF post ITA.

Kindly advise, thanks.

What he needs is a gcms note to guide him and a letter of explanation to explain previous denial. But then if the lawyer is in charge of his application then fine.
Thanks

Qudkom:
Lawyer? Sorry there isn't any grounds for that. What he needs is to review his refusal grounds order a gcms note and work on it.
It's more like the lawyer wrote on his behalf on the reasons for his rejection, which are; personal assets and financial circumstance. So unlike the first SOP he submitted, the lawyer focused only on his new additional and improved documents. He has also requested for his gcms note but it hasn't arrived. Can he use the letter from the lawyer or write a new SOP stating what has changed or write a new SOP altogether from his first and adding what has changed?
Hope you get my explanation, thanks for your anticipated response.

No, you don't. My dad flies to the USA with Lufthansa without a German transit visa, so same rule would apply.

Hi guys,
I want to ask a question, i have a friend who got rejected for a study permit and wants to reapply. But instead of an SOP, he wants to submit a review from a lawyer, addressing the grounds for rejection. Is that enough or he should add an SOP?

Hi everyone,

I want to renew my visitor visa, it expired last year June. My son, who was born in the uk while I was studying and I travelled together and came back. Currently, I have a 5month old and would want to apply for her as well. My husband will not be traveling with us.
The problem is I'm an entrepreneur so I don't receive salaries and sometimes I have more cash at hand than at the bank. How will I sort it please?

She should disclose her pregnancy at the medical centre. i read somewhere (seems the medical centre where i had mine) that concealing such vital info doesnt affect your chances of getting your permit and it should be disclosed so as not to expose the foetus to dangerous rays while having x-rays etc
That's true. X-rays are not recommended for pregnant women. Thanks

Austinpee4:
I believe a comprehensive medical exams is expected to be carried out and will ofcourse indicate the pregnancy. However, being pregnant will NOT affect processing of the applicant's application as there is no basis of refusing an application on grounds of being pregnant but since the primary intention of an applicant should be to study, she will have to convince the VO that her primary intention is to study and not to have a child in a disguise of study even though she can have her baby while studying. She should declare that she is pregnant.(This will add credibility to her assesment. They will still find out) The VO's decision will be on how she has been able to establish herself as a bonafide student who will genuinely study and leave canada at the end of the temporary stay and not because of the pregnancy. She will have to do a good job convincing because her case is perculiar.

She may also have to prove to the VO that adequate preparation is/will be on ground( additional funds,Plans for antenatal, additional health care plans, etc) should she eventually deliver the baby as she studies. She should be truthfull as possible if she applies before having the baby.
The VO will use his/her discretion to then consider her application.

She can as well have the baby first before applying but then, she will have to nurse the baby and if she intend going for study, there will be a burden too to convince the VO on how she will cope with the infant. Difficult situations but surmountable.
Thanks. The whole thing is left to convincing the VO right?

Hi everyone,

A friend of mine who is about to apply for a study permit is 5 weeks pregnant. She asked if the medical exams would tell she's pregnant and if she has to inform the vo about the pregnancy. Her resumption is by Jan 2018. Her due date is 1st April or thereabout.
She also asked if she could have the baby in the US first before applying for the study permit but the cost will be high. I'm not a guru so I say make I consult una first before giving my advice.

If she has a registered business you can do photocopy of her CAC. .and other certificate
I was going to ask if one could put photocopies of landed property documents, car documents and CAC instead of the original if I submit through paper, as they aren't mine and my sponsor might be in need of them at any time.

Poster, take my advice. Adopt this boy to prove your responsibility. Or if his father can write a letter or an affidavit or something for you (I don't know if this can work, lawyers in the house cn help out to advise in the easiest way forward ), I know the process may be tedious but do the needful to avoid stories that touch. Read my response to Emmane for a clearer understanding.

Yes, your so may not have same blood group as you but if a permutation of your own blood group and that of your hubby is done, your child's blood group should be one of the possible outcomes. The same thing for genotype.

All the best.
Thanks. I will go through the adoption process.

For me genotype is not an issue here cos that's not what they are looking at. I think u shd not complicate things for yourself by claiming him as ur biological child, yes the legal proceedings for child adoption may be hectic but I don't think it's impossible especially with a good lawyer. Do the right thing for posterity sake. U never know when DNA test may be required and what the future consequences may be, pls a little more patience will do d magic. My 1kobo advice
Thanks

Emmane:
Lol.... But this is funny. @Peaceful,004 does your bloodgroup and genotype match that of ur parents?
In a family of 4, it is very possible for all of then to hv different blood group. About genotype, it depends on family history of HbSs dx. Be guided.
I was going to say the same thing. My son and I have different blood groups. My nephew has same genotype as mine. Medicals is not DNA test so they can't figure out but it's better I say he's my nephew. I don't know if I'll have to adopt him to prove my responsibility and relation, that's my concern.

Much better grin cool.
To your question, yes for study or immigration purpose in canada, any country you have lived in for more than 6 months cumulatively after you became 18yrs , you must obtain a police certificate. e.g. for me, I am going to get 3 PCCs- Nigeria, UK and USA. To get the forms, see below
UK: https://www.acro.police.uk/
USA: https://www.fbi.gov/services/cjis/identity-history-summary-checks
Nigeria: Go to Alagbon Police Station, Ikoyi.
I read it from the cic website now. I didn't get what the @sthillz meant earlier.
Thank you very much. Does my husband need it to apply for a visitor visa too?
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 12 by Prisscindy(f): 10:55pm On Jul 16, 2017
sthillz:
You don't get it

A police certificate is required by Canadian immigration to show you have no criminal records having lived in the UK for more than 6 months
I lived in the UK for 6 years and applied for one

You will also need a Nigerian police certificate too
Oh! Now I get it. Please how do I get that from uk? I'm in Nigeria at the moment. Is that a requirement for study permit only or every other part of immigration? Someone mentioned that my responses have been harsh. I'm sorry about that. I didn't see it that way. Thanks for the info once again.

I can't say if you can use it or not. The issue of plagiarism is a serious offence dealing with canadians. So if you decided to use it, ensure you make appropraite reference to the original owner of the work.

Will adopting him make you feel more responsible for him and feel better? If so, fine. It's totally up to you. The visa officers will be more interested in the welfare and responsibility for the individual you include as a dependant. So which ever works for you, ensure you back up all claims with documentary evidence.
Lol, I just concluded a project for my msc in the uk. I should know better than to plagarise someone else's work. The write up gave me a clearer view of the relationship between my previous degrees and the intended one. And by the way, I was talking about how to convince the VO with the relationship Thanks for the back up.

I don't have that. Never went to the police station all through my stay in the uk. What do I need it for?
