BillyMcD: I'm having someone process it for me at Unilag. Same guy who handled WES but I'll admit it's been the ghetto given the strike, protests and all. My friend finally got a notification of result, all documents have been accepted by Wes and was given a completion date yesterday. Thanks |

BillyMcD: Do you have your diploma statement of result? I'm trying to get mine, from my understanding it should be uploaded alongside ECA and Degree Certificate during application. Kindly let me know if you find anything, thanks. My friend is also in the same shoes but the university isn't ready to issue any statement of result to him |

Please for those that had diploma and continued to a degree, what did you submit to Wes for them to evaluate as two or more certificates?
I'm helping a friend but he doesn't have a certificate for the diploma, just two separate transcripts and a bsc certificate. The university said they can't issue anything else for him. It's urgent please. Thanks |

Hi,
I have a UCI number already in my profile but I have never submitted an application to IRCC. I'm confused because I thought it would be generated when you submit an application, although, I have an ITA.
What if my profile expires or I revoke my GCkey, will I need to provide the UCI number? |

Sending documents to Abuja sounds very awkward to me and I tend to believe that the Kaduna people are right with their claim. I am not an expert though.
My advice is you should independently seek legal counsel. You can also ask for the relevant laws and read it yourself to clear all doubts. Please do not drop the poor girl. We asked someone in the ministry in Abuja and he said Kaduna state ministry knows they are supposed to send them the file with a letter. I don't know why the people here have refused to listen to my requests and send the file. At this point, I'm thinking of getting a lawyer to help find out what the problem is or go to Abuja and start the process all over again. Thanks for your input. I don't know what they meant by sending the file to Abuja but last year, I was involved in the adoption process of my friend's brother. The process was done from the Ministry of Women Affairs in Ogun State. She paid for NAPTIP, probation officer inspection and every necessary document. They came to their house to interrogate them and gave them a date to meet at the family court where the judge granted them the adoption. After two weeks, she got the adoption certificate, took it to the immigration and collected the child's passport then applied for her UK student visa including the child as a dependent. They all got the visa and currently in the UK. If you have been granted an ADOPTION CERTIFICATE by the court, you're good to go. It's not your business whether they take it to Abuja or not |

Allegory: Hello, please has anyone recently used gradintel for WES evaluation. I saw on the WES website that you can give them access to view your transcripts via gradintel and I did that after paying. Just want to confirm that this works or do I still have to contact my Uni to send them a hardcopy? Specific universities use that, some in the UK not sure about other countries. |

Because I just applied and made payment yesterday for me and my wife, and on my own status, I saw that transcript been generated just today. Please are they realiable ? Used them for delivery alone and they're reliable |

opeyemi2012: Unilag has deliberately refused to join ETX NG. Even the VC replied my mail stating they do not want to join ETX. He however promised to work on modalities that will enable them to send eTranscripts to WES in future. Hopefully they do something fast. It's not reasonable to not accept such fast and stress-free avenue. |

It's actually not my report, did mine last year, helped a friend from start to finish and I used her email id for everything. ladykilllar: Report done? Like assessment done and she can dive into the pool? Yes, I wasn't expecting it. I checked last week Thursday and I saw that completion date was 1st Sept. Just decided to check this evening whether they requested for verification so I can tell the uni records guy and I saw that it has been ready since Friday. So surprised. Registered 25th July and paid 27th, transcript sent through ETX-NG to WES by 3rd August and report out 7th August. |

ETX-NG is super fast, I must confess. I helped one of my friends process her transcript from uni.
At first, the uni wasn't registered on ETX-NG, I put the records guy through, he sent them a message on their website and the uni got registered the next day. Then he sent my friend's transcript last week Monday and the report came out same week Friday, just 4 days.
Most courier services would have just arrived by that time, so it's way better to use ETX-NG o.
Thanks to @Abuja2Canada for shedding more light |

SunshineD1: If a TIP is mandatory then IMO, it's a bribe of some sorts. This i witnessed in Florida with reference to when I ordered for pizza from Papa John, the app had a place for tip. I was shocked, I was like you've not brought the pizza, you're asking for tip. I told my spouse to put $1 there o because the total price did not populate until you fill that tip part. Ah! That one is a bribe o, which kind wahala/policy be that? Lol, they should have included it in the price of the pizza without having it mandated nah |

Jobola1: @Exmay02 @EnglishWithJosh
I go to FirstBank. On my way back, I "tipped" d mopol at d gate #500.
If I to come to use d ATM later in the day n I told mopol that I am in a hurry. Mopol will "carry me" over other people in put me in front. Of course I will give him even more "tip" as you like to call it.
Using your example, before a delivery guy will agree to break protocol for me, it must have been because I have been tipping him. He is breaking the protocol cos of a future monetary gain.
If a girl has been serving me beer and I always tip her, the next time there is queue n I tell her I need my beer chilled n fast, she will find a way to sneak it to me before others. When d waiter is counting her money at close of work, will she label d cash I gave her as a bribe or as a "tip or blessing?"
If I always tip a Uber n one day I called his line directly to pick me up. This means he is making money off of a connection that Uber afforded him while not cutting Uber their share.
Tip is like the younger brother to bribery. The end goal of tipping is usually to make the person to more readily break a protocol for u on a later date even tho this might not be your initial intentions.
Tipping is a form of compromise just like bribery.
Do you want to play by the rules in its entirety or do you want to selectively play by the rules?
One country kills a person, u call it murder. Another country does d exact same, u call it "eliminating a terrorist." Does it change d fact that they both killed? It's just a nonsensical nomenclature where u choose what word suits you.
Africa!!! Wake up. These examples are not the same o! Let me further break it down and when you get to Canada you will understand better. Not all western countries practise "tipping", the ones that do, the workers will work as normal and "if" you feel like giving them extra cash without any ulterior motive then that is a tip. Some companies have "tip" printed on their receipts. Surprisingly, the workers do not compromise their cores and values, they follow strict procedures to serve their customers, no short cuts because of tips. The thing they can do is priority services which you would have to pay the "company" more. In the UK, hardly will you see anyone giving tips, never seen. Our naija own, if you don't bribe, even when they know it's their duty as workers in an organization, they will delay you for others that have bribed, have better connections and influence. Elderly people and pregnant women will have to stay on the damn queue before entering the bank, just let big boy come, you will see the respect and privilege he'd get. The Uber example you gave, you said it yourself, you called his direct line, off Uber o. Some might even decline for security purpose and everything also boils down to the fact that every version of abroad companies here has a touch of naija in it. The laws can't be the same because of difference in culture of the geographic location. Bribe is bribe and nothing more. We should learn to be diligent and be ready to unlearn being Africans. |
