Thank you and God bless. Another question, can years of experience before MSC be used to claim the required years of experience. Cause she worked before going for masters.
Yes, so far it's within the last ten years.

Congratulations on your PPR. Please I want to ask for someone who did a masters in law. Should they go with IQAS for qualification verification or WES. IQAS processing time is quite long. People say WES is usually not accepted when you submit your application to IRCC and it leads to rejection? Why is that please?

What do you suggest the person does?
IQAS is the best option for LLB not master of law because they evaluate the bachelor of law as a professional degree and that's an equivalent to master's.

WES doesn't give it a professional equivalent, but gives LLB and law school certificate as two or more certificates.

Since you have master's already, evaluate ONLY that with WES because they're faster and even faster as it's from oversea. Your ECA should be out probably in 2months time max.

Hope this helps.

Errrm, it's not as "easy" as you sound.

You'll need enough evidence to show that your marriage is not "arranged".

Evidence like the following:
* Historical proof of relationship (more like how you met and when)
* Communication over a period of time (chats, call logs etc)
* Lots of pictures like traditional, white, honeymoon (if applicable), reception, pictures with friends, pictures from dates/outings.

In all honesty, if one is not financially buoyant and does not have friends or family here, I'll say either stay back and save or come alone.

Getting an apartment as an immigrant is tough especially without a job, even if one wants to live in a basement, depending on location, it ranges from $800-$1000, and basements are like the coldest part in a house.

If your wife can hustle with you (do a 10hrs job with over 9hrs standing, buy used winter gears, use the bus, etc), fine, else na work o.

My intention is not to scare any, some get jobs immediately, but for planning, better ensure your POF is truly yours and you have some extra. Naira has no value here, more like a -280 actually.

Cheers
I know it's not easy, I have been there and understand what it takes, especially because I have lived in a city as expensive as London with my husband and kid. I worked 8hrs/day while standing even with pregnancy.

It's not easy at all but trust our naija spirit, we mostly excel anywhere. Everybody go dey alright las las

I'm in my late 20s and she's early 20s, she only got ND with few years work experience.

I feel like going to hustle first before bringing anyone along, don't know which is better, going single or married based on information provided.

Thanks for reciprocating.
Good you're both young enough. You can take the lead, be the main applicant since you have higher qualifications, evaluate your result(s) and take IELTS. Get married after you submit your application when you get ITA. Then inform IRCC and update your POF.

That way, she'd only need to do medicals and police certificate. Go and start your young married life in Canada, it will be better for both of you.

NEROSKY:
Thanks for the suggestion but try to understand me, my question is, if is better to apply as a single or married?
It actually depends on your circumstance. Without your fiancee, what's your score? If it's high enough for you to get ITA, hold on, after submission of your application. Then get married and inform IRCC. You will need POF for two.

If your score isn't high, you can get married and your wife adds her points from educational qualifications and IELTS score.

If she's younger with same qualifications as you or higher, she'd be the primary applicant. She can either apply first and add you after marriage or you both apply together. Hope you understand.

Are you sure of the bolded? As far as I know all PR, Certain Work Permit holders and Citizens in Canada have all medically necessary services covered. So long as you have a health card.
Maybe not all services are paid for but I'm sure of ambulance fee.

UK emergency services are free regardless of the nationality.

Hope I'm not derailing the thread.

I dont know about all of that . It really depends where in canada you live. I live in a place where I can easily access Subway, Train , Bus or Streetcar .. I dont see how the transportation could be any better than that.

Although I dont know too much about UK Health Care but I imagine its similar to canada where it is "free" a.k.a paid for by your tax. Proximity to Nigeria might be a factor if you want to frequent Nigeria which isnt the case for a lot of people. I have plenty of relatives in the UK who have visited nigeria only once or twice in the last 10 years.
Ah! Transport for London aka TfL is among the top 3 best transportation systems in the world.

As for healthcare, services like ambulance and other paramedics are free, even child birth. Visitors can also benefit from their free A&E services. In some provinces in Canada, if not all, those services cost a huge amount or are paid by health insurances.

Nevertheless, the UK is hostile with their immigration policies in comparison to Canada.

Canada is a great country, I'm not disputing the fact. That's why I'm also hustling their PR. I just have my own preference if I had a choice.

My only problem with this analysis is the assumption that profiles entering will slow down to 1000-1200 a week. There is no reason to think that , considering the influx of international students and EE awareness.

Like I said in an earlier post I believe scores will drop at a rate of 1-3 points per draw up until the FST draw sometimes late april or may. By that calculation , the scores will be low 460s(461-464) by the last draw preceeding the 4 week gap due to FST.

One thing however I see reducing the pressure on EE and the pool inflow is other countries such as the UK becoming more immigrant friendly. They are re-introducing the Post Study Work VIsa for 2 years and it appears they will be launching a Points Based Immigration System like Canada and Australia by year end.
To be honest, I really can't wait for the UK to start their own, if it'd be similar, I'll rather take their offer.
Their promixity to Nigeria, favourable weather conditions and free health care are what beat Canada in my opinion. One more thing, transportation system in London is mindblowing, so efficient. Given I lived for almost two years and birthed my child there. I must commend their government.

Thanks.
I do. It can even be possible in few days, depends on your pocket, it's about 45k fast track for adults and 35k for children. My friends did theirs December and got it next day. But I don't know how much it costs without fast track.

The validity of the visa that will be stamped on your passport will be either medical's expiry date or passport expiry date, whichever comes first.

You have to travel before your medical or your international passport expires.
I don't think the international passport expiration should be a problem, if it does expire, you can always renew and carry both old and new together.

Now I understand why oldies have taken the back seat.

Looks like the group is gradually becoming a joke; I really do hope it does not end up becoming one.

I mean how would one post a question like " Creating an EE profile and writing IELTS, which comes first?" Did the person not look though anything on this thread at all?

People have been encouraged from beginning of this thread to read through from page 1 before any questions, that way you would have gotten your answers, but I see that many persons are not willing to do so. Of course this will make people, especially oldies to not bother answering questions as they are not obligated to do so, and I can already see wrong answers being posted for some questions.

Please let's try to refer newbies to page 1 to read up. Later contents on this thread is already being watered down. Let's try to clean up this thread and make it what it used to be.

And on a lighter note, for those actually spoon feeding newbies, be ready to answer questions like "Which should come first, food or water?"

Ndo nu o!

Good Day everyone!

I am thinking of applying of a Canada express entry visa form next year August 2020. I do not know what step I should take first. Although, I am preparing to take IELTS test by July. I also have a certificate of a welder, I also have experience 2 years in food and beverage. ( Chef),. Specialise in Mexican and African dishes I also have A HND in Business administration.

Should I open an application first or should I wait still my IELTS score are out?

I would love a detailed explanation from someone who have experience in this process.
Thank you.
See what they were just saying.

@olamide34
Please read and understand page 1 first then come back to ask any bugging questions. And this is 2020 already, next year is 2021.

I read somewhere that you can raise a "CSE" form or something, i do not know what that is yet.
I also read that it is a minor error that can be overlooked since your International Passport and your other documents have the correct name.
I saw first names but didn't add my middle name on purpose. I wasn't aware that I won't be able to edit it later if there was no option to include a middle name.

As you have advised, I also felt it shouldn't be a problem until I saw someone panicking about it and thought I ask. Does anyone have another opinion?

Rewrite.

I've noticed the CRS calculator gives a higher score than the EE website. You will only realise this after you've created your profile. Bollocks angry
This isn't true. Maybe there's something you're doing wrong, double check.
