TheGuyFromHR:The guy told them o, they said the rep is trusted and has been handling their students' application for many years. They are just bent on either he uses the rep or they withdraw cas and refund. I'm really disappointed in University of South Wales. I don't know who leaves oanda rate and uses "N650" as the benchmark. But before I advise him to do anything, I want him to have another offer first. |
shoyemiayodeji:Na the school gan gan dey cause the rubbish o. I later acted like his agent and sent them an email but they still refused |
Blanchefleur:The rep held on to his cas. He hasn't seen it yet but uni has released it. |
Blanchefleur:I understand you're trying to help but the bolded came off rude. I am actually not the person, it's a friend and I have helped him write a length email to the university and called them directly to revert it. The uni insisted that's their policy for those without agents and he must work with their rep, if not they'd withdraw the CAS and refund his deposit. Even their international advisor chatted with him directly on whatsapp after the email wasn't going well. The whole thing is just annoying. They threatened to withdraw cas. |
Cyberknight:He has received his cas but they didn't release it to him. It was released to the rep because he doesn't have an agent. That uni is just freaking annoying. The rep has placed so many conditions on him and I am just angry about the university's decision, he insisted on helping him fill his application form and he must pay for assisted service for his documents to be uploaded, among other rubbish. The University of South Wales needs to do better, they shouldn't force their agent/in country rep on students. |
For bachelor's degree, who knows unis that their tuition cost about £10k after international scholarships please. I know University of South Wales but a friend of mine wants to withdraw his cas from them because their in country rep wants him to pay more, after he has paid £6400 and has over N8million in his account. The rep claims he's at the border line, that the rate can go up, neglecting the fact that oanda rate is all that matters. Abeg help a friend in need |
justwise:Can you see that there was no "original" statement compared with? It was calculated. Anyway, i rest my case |
Ezriela:I wish him all the best in his AR |
Ezriela:Did the person get their visa later? Nobody is judging anybody, blame the person that posted it in May without the underlying story. N4 for sms alert, okay. |
Ezriela:You weren't the one that submitted the bank statement so you can't say if it wasn't tampered with or not. This thing is not hard now and shouldn't be treated with sentiments. If it's a "costly error", let him/her do an administrative review, so that the bank and ukvi would be clear where the error came from. Because this "costly error" can lead to a ten year ban o |
justwise:The other person's bank statement was said to have been confirmed by the bank but there was an error in the calculations which simply means the person had tempered with it. UKVI didn't find that out from the bank but from their own calculations. It's also possible that they can verify the balance because things change everytime, I didn't say otherwise this time. But that wasn't totally justified from the post, hence, my observations. |
justwise:I only stated my observations which was what I expected you to take note. The maintenance fee is not right, is it? And I also wasn't affirmative about the disclosure of balances this time. Same way you were asking for proofs from people who said the "new law" says they should leave the money there until the visa is out. |
With regards to the initial post about bank statements, I honestly feel that the post/decision letter isn't genuine or has been tampered with. The letter stated that the money needed for maintenance outside London is £9,135. This would have been the case if it was last year Sept/October before the maintenance fee needed outside London was raised to £9,207, but the letter further made reference to 4th May, 2021. ECO make mistakes but I really doubt this case. Many people just like to chase clout so I would not be surprised if someone had edited something somewhere. That being said, many conclusions drawn from the letter can't also be ascertained because nobody knows what dates the bank statement carried, if the amount reduced during the 28 days period or not and the date the refusal was issued. |
JustMellow:She has finished one trimester, registered as part time, it was actually the university that registered her as part time. She registered the new trimester as part time too but I would tell her to increase the number of courses so it'd be full time. Thank you for pointing that out, I didn't know it has got something to do with PGWP though. She's an undergraduate student, do you think it could be made up since she is supposed to finish in 4 years? Moreover, her dad was of the opinion she changes her course to nursing when she gets to Canada. |
Chinnychappy:She registered as part time because she hasn't gotten the visa yet and the trimester fees are deducted according to the credit hours registered. Moreso, learning everything online would be difficult especially for an undergraduate |
Prisscindy:Anybody please? |

Lekiboboe:Just to be clear please, DHL/UPS at any location can be used to send the documents to VFS Lagos or Abuja; 2 way courier preferred. Since Abuja is faster and biometric was done in Lagos. Transmission fee of #7430 would be paid. How would evidence of this payment be shown please? Please treat as urgent, anyone who knows too can answer. Thank you |

Hi, My 18 year old niece just got PPR this morning, undergraduate study. Submitted 30th November, 2020. Saw that we can send passport through DHL or UPS from another Canada thread, the link I got from this thread doesn't lead to the process of passport submission. Can anyone put me through or send me the link please? Thank you |
olamideadex:Hi, was it DIY you used please? How long did it take? |
Cutiemart:Where is that person that was arguing about WES giving bachelor's equivalence if you did a diploma before your degree? You cannot know it all, so please let people try whatever they can in this journey. I advised that they should email WES, that a friend of mine got his upgraded even after he was given a 4years bsc equ. but the person was saying otherwise with confidence. |
seyewest:Gracias |
OptimusPrime3:You have only two chances. Book, cancel, reschedule, that's it. It might have changed though |
Hi, Can travellers with B1/B2 visa travel to the US now? Saw that some airlines won't carry them so I was wondering |
lasignor:Did you read what I posted about a friend that did the same thing and had it corrected to two or more certificates just last October? He was given a 4 year bachelor's equivalence but had it changed when he pointed it out. Had a statement of result for his one year foundation program too |
Ola240:What qualifications do you have at the moment? You don't need CIMA or ACCA if you had ND with a BSc |
