Is the govt sponsoring your trip? Do you have a note verbale? If you have this very important document, your bank statement will just be for formality as it won’t be used. I also work with a govt agency and that’s how I got my visa.

And yes. You’d need your employment letter, ID cards, and any other work certificates you’ve got. Letter of introduction from your employer, etc.

Please which bank is advisable for one to open a dollar account. At this point I'm concerned about the speed of completing the account as i understand some banks take as long as 1 month. Also hope one will be able to use the dollar card upon arriving UK?

Yes you can use your dollar card although it depends on what type of dollar card. Firstbank visa gold works fine for me.

I requested 8days. But like I said I'm a frequent traveller and sometimes I spend 1night, 3nights or at most 5days whenever I travel to the Schengen zone.

Did you apply for 1 year or they just gave you 1 year because of frequent traveler status?
How long can you stay at each visit?

I'm a frequent traveller this would be my 6th visa my last visa was 6months which expired yesterday. What I did differently was to submit a year insurance coverage alongside same documents previously used.

Congratulations!!!. It took longer than usual. I guess there’s a lot of applications to tend to because of the summer holidays. Most people got feedback Within 5 to 7 days.

I got mine in 4days. Submitted on Thursday, got dispatched to vfs on Wed, picked up yesterday
