Ibime: Chart is facts. If you say dollar is devaluing, you must show it on chart against other currencies Charts are not fact. (At least not all) Anyone with the knowledge of statistics or numbers can concort whatever data they want into a chart. Humans come up with whatever data charts are made of. There's a chart saying 85m Nigerians live below $1 a day while back, to you that would be true but realistically, it's not possible for 85m Nigerians to live below $1 (This was when Naira was below ₦500/$1) |

Masterviolence: Comprehension is truly the only problem here.
If only you could comprehend what that post is all about, you'll not make this statement you just made.
dvkot's statement was all about military strength and that's the only context one can get from his statement, and nothing relating proximity, ethnicity, geographical or demographics attributes. I hope you don't misjudge and find this statement of mine disrelish. You're the one with a comprehension problem. The analogy I made is not wrong if you look deep into the context. I wasn't about the military strength, but the relationship. Taiwan is part of China, Cuba is not part of the US. China and even UN see Taiwan as part of China. This is the reason I used Lagos, PH or Abuja to represent Taiwan, and Nigeria to rep China. Taiwan remains part of China until further notice. Cuba has never been part of the US This is how I can interpret it. I hope you can now comprehend the above better now or do I still need to break it down further? |

dvkot: it's really not necessary to compare Taiwan with China... It's like comparing Cuba to USA It can't be Cuba because Cuba was never part of the US. Maybe Lagos, Port Harcourt or even Abuja vs Nigeria. |

WriteerNg: ⚡Japan and South Korea on Friday announced separate sanctions packages targeting companies, vessels, or individuals allegedly involved in supplying North Korean weapons to Russia for use in Ukraine, in violation of UN resolutions.
South Korea accuses Pyongyang of sending thousands of containers of munitions to Russia, and experts have said Pyongyang’s recent testing spree may be of weapons destined for use on battlefields in Ukraine.
In August, the US Treasury Department imposed similar sanctions as it said Russia was using up munitions and losing heavy equipment in Ukraine — forcing Moscow to turn to its few allies, including Pyongyang, for support. South Korea also sanctioning Russia? |

Balogunodua: What question?
You asking me to list 10 things what Abacha did ain't that a funny question? While couldn't even prove or point to how military govt is better than civilian govt.
Like it's not same Abacha who executed Ken Saro Wiwa for fighting for his peoples right...while cracking down on any form of protest against his govt...def we know how many students were whisked away and ended up dying in jail without trial. What's funny about the question? If you claim someone was terrible, you should be able to list what made them terrible. Yes, democracy as we have it is not a better system of government and the reasons are everywhere for us to see. Who assassinated Bola Ige? Was this not during the so called Democracy? http://eprints.abuad.edu.ng/15/Who assassinated Funsho Williams and Harry Marshall? Military leaders or Democratic rulers? https://www.hrw.org/reports/2003/nigeria0403/nigeria0403-03.htmThe governor of Kaduna that died in an Helicopter crash together with a prominent figure that was at that time speaking the truth to the public, they were killed when? The 2011 subsidy protest that killed a number of defenceless civilians, did this happen under Military rule or the so called democratic rule? https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.aljazeera.com/amp/news/2012/1/10/nigerian-fuel-protests-turn-deadlyBalogunodua: Was it not the same Abacha gagging freedom of speech when you dare not say shit about the govt...while his hypocritical ass was trying to restore and maintain democracy in sierra leone same demo he was gagging at home.
We know how military men brutally raped a lot of sex workers in Jebba..looting shops and taking whatever they want without paying a dime..this was Abacha's regime...dude shared oil wells with his cronies, run a fraud local govt election and end up selecting winners himself.
Abacha dealt with both journalists and student activists...This was the golden regime according to you
Many more atrocities were committed and attracted the worst an action on us that lead to the downturn of many industries in the country. Awkuzu massacre that happened few years ago whereby numerous dead bodies were floating in a river in Anambra state was under military rule? https://dailypost.ng/2022/10/24/peter-obi-opens-up-on-awkuzu-sars-killings/The Lekki killings that alot of youth lost their lives happened under Military? https://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/495562-endsars-nigerian-soldiers-police-massacred-peaceful-protesters-at-lekki-tollgate-panel-of-inquiry.html?tztc=1The massacre in Kaduna (shiites killings) happened under military? What exactly happened during the Military including that of Abacha that's not happening now and even worse? Is it corruption? People now steal and loot with boldness, infact the number of those looting in this democratic dispensation twarts that of the military of any era. Even counselors in Local governments find ways to steal. Do you know how many journalists have been locked up or even killed under this democratic dispensation? https://www.thecable.ng/travails-of-slain-nigerian-journalists-families-searching-for-justice/amp/https://www.thecable.ng/travails-of-slain-nigerian-journalists-families-searching-for-justice/amp/https://primeprogressng.com/perspective/nigerian-journalists-martyrs-for-the-truth/Do you know how many people have lost their lives to insecurities just few years into the so called democracy? https://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/12/101500-nigerians-murdered-since-1999-report/So tell us, which bloody freedom are you talking about? What exactly are we enjoying that democracy brought? Chaos? Indiscipline? Madness? Total disregard for law and order? Oppression from the rich to the poor? What exactly? From Airports, to seaports, to major bridges and national icons, military govts built the majority, even to roads and schools. (Things still standing today). What are the benefits an average Nigerian is enjoying in this God forsaking democracy? Was there anytime during military rule that Nigeria was this bad? Even under IBB which to me is the worst of military rule, life wasn't this bad. Not even inflation or the value of life was this bad. I have lived in both and you can't explain my realities for me. Una for this country love to lie to una self for no reason, this is why this country won't grow. Alot of people with foresights have left and still leaving, I'm joining anytime soon. Most of the people in Nigeria didn't evolve to become a complete human, hence the rubbish going on. |

Oh! Please list those people or still bring articles that backup this claim of people getting jailed just for criticizing the govt 1999.
Yes...and FACT.
Gaddafi was never a dictator and never ruled as a military man...but has a man who had is people at heart.
Yes..Gaddafi was an activist go read.
Really! But I didn't see Lee Kaun with an army uniform and guess what? he didn't take the seat by coup..instead democracy was what brought him to power through electoral means which is the backbone and foundation of democray.
Yes I did...and he never discarded the idea of democracy, instead he modified it in a way that works.....democracy does not make economical decision for any country...it just a means of electing leaders and guarantee for fundamental human right of the citizens. No, you didn't list the 10 terrible things Abacha did that civilian Govts haven't done or even worse. And I see this as a waste of time. You are ready to say anything to "win" whatever. Balogunodua: If you def didn't experience Abacha regime...I bet. We did and it was bad...if the military were the ones ruling, none of you guys here criticizing the govt would dream of it.
All our problems from the beginning was caused by the military...heck even the 1999 fraud constitution was drafted by same military ain't that interesting and since 1999 the presidents who truly had their rule were ex military...infact majority of our so called civilian govt were actually ex military. Yet most of what you call solid infrastructure in Nigeria were built by them. Gaddafi and some other notable names all around the world weren't democratic, but you'd pick them 10x over any democracy in Africa. If you're asked to list 10 bad things Abacha did, you'll struggle.
