You've got to admire the honesty of this man. He was very lucky at Barca, even though you've got to be good to even be that lucky.. he's very good no doubt and lucky. They should cut him some slack ever successful person today had some luck at a point in time.. Did someone just say lampard up there? |
They still never get sense |
ojobek:As I have told you earlier I am not a Christian, neither a Muslim I'm an atheist. So I would avoid to say your God too doesn't exist. But if you need more information about what the Bible teaches and what Christian's believe I would be more than happy to indulge you but not today |
ojobek:But has any pastor or "Christian lawyer" condemned a person who sins against the holy ghost to death?, The forgiveness or unforgiveness of the sin against the holy ghost is between the sinner and his God. And by the way that passage is quoted out of context, it doesn't mean there's no forgiveness for a particular sin. I can't go into all that today Sha.. and by the way I am an atheist who studies the Bible, quaran and other religious books |
swiz123:You dy mind hypocrites, last season when kompany led man city to the trophy, he shouted, pointed and even organised far more than hendo. They didn't fight that he should be given the best player award, even though he scored that outrageous goal against Leicester that was generally considered to be the trophy winning goal for Man. City, it's now they are shouting Henderson! Henderson!!. Mtcheeew |
mike272:I was patiently waiting till you would bring the "black" card forward. Mane has been outstanding but he isn't the best period, when he becomes the best no matter his skin color, white, black, green, red. He'd be recognized he hasn't gotten to the level where he'd beat KDB for the award.. It's funny how we black people bring in the racist card when things are not in our favor, just the way girls bring the female card or when people bring the tribal card to compensate or give excuses for their inadequacies. And so you know, Mane didn't "lead" Liverpool to the trophy, it was a team effort every Liverpool player did their job perfectly, salah, mane, Virgil, fabinho, Allison etc. They were all outstanding for Liverpool all through the season and in my opinion. The best Liverpool player for the just concluded season was TAA, and I know many people agree with that |
obonujoker:I'm just glad your name is joker |
zedegit:You're smart bro |
Ronaldo fans it's up to you to hijack this thread and tell us how this is stupid and that he's a coward and any other useless thing that you can cook up in your head. We Messi fans will be here reading your idiotic bad belle comments. Over to you penaldo fans |
This thread is actually very comical. It's so funny **Firstly you have to know the real reason "BALON D'OR" not world best was cancelled this year. The reason was because the pandemic struck and that led to the cancellation of many leagues around the world. Which in simple terms means that since not every country could conclude the ingoing season then it would be unfair to give a particular player the award as the best player in the world when others didn't get the chance to play. This reason is alot bigger if you consider the fact that the BALON D'OR is organised to by a FRENCH newspaper and the FRENCH ligue 1 was cancelled due to Corona virus, do you see how ironic it would be if a FRENCH company gives an award for the best player in the world when even the French league wasn't concluded **Secondly, lewandosky can't Sue anyone because no one can say for sure if he is the deserved winner or not, the award is given by votes and their is no particular standard or stats that a player must hit to be given the award, even though lewandosky is seen as a forerunner in the battle for the BALON D'OR, we can't go flat out and say he's won it, there are several other great players in the mix as well e.g KDB, Ronaldo, dybala, Messi, immobile e.t.c all of who had a stellar season just as lewandosky.. so lewandosky doesn't have the right to sue anybody for what isn't even his yet |
Justice505:Ndidi didnt play any age grade competition for naija. Though you have a point and that's true that your success in age grade competition doesn't determine how far you'd go in life. You have to put in the work, many players never made it into age grade football, some didn't do well but now they are celebrated. Who knew Ronaldo in u-17, u-20 or neymar or mbappe or many other superstars.. it just hard-work and consistency. And in my own view making it in age grade was even an impediment to the development of many of these footballers. They got cocky and overconfident thinking they have arrived. |
Joedoyle:You just amplified my words. Messi is also not doing anything to hurt anyone's career same as Ronaldo. Those young players you are trying to protect are either too lazy, not talented enough or just not disciplined enough to put Messi on the bench. So if Messi leaves Barca today nothing will change, they won't suddenly become better players. End of story |
Joedoyle:Your definition of complete is funny, no player is complete and non will ever be, everyone would have their strength and weeknesses.. that's life, Ronaldinho isn't complete, neither is Messi or any other player ever |
Joedoyle:Ronaldinho was dropped and Messi was taken up by the coach, and Barcelona became a better team and the most successful team of the era invariably making pep one of the world class coaches. So obviously dropping Ronaldinho for Messi was one of the best decision Barca ever made. And it's funny you're saying Messi is blocking anybody's shine at Barca, we see what became of the players that ran away from Barca to escape Messi shine.. they never got to that level they were at Barca, so you see Messi isn't blocking anyone's shine, he's doing the opposite. And even if Messi leave Barca to another club, would he not still block the shine of the young players in his new club?, See what Ronaldo has done to dybala and co. Messi will still be the starman where ever he goes, any young player that needs a major player to leave the club so that he can become great doesn't deserve it in the first place. No one will ever hand you anything in life you've got to fight for it |
And please tell me what you mean by Ronaldinho being the most complete footballer?, How is he the most complete footballer?. You're comparing a player that isn't even regarded as the best player of his generation in Brazil alone to a player generally agreed to be the best footballer to have ever kicked the ball.. how can you even do that?? |
Joedoyle:This discussion of staying at one club is very stupid. Extremely stupid, it's just like saying a man should leave Canada where he is living well and go to his village in one state in Nigeria to prove that he is a man, what does Messi need to leave Barca for he helped build Barca to being the best club in the world, so he should leave to prove something to someone that doesn't matter?, Even those great players that left their clubs either left to better clubs or left for better pay, or in few cases had fights with their current employer. It had nothing to do with proving they were good or not. Ronaldo would still be at Real if they were ready to become his puppets. And who both know that Messi isn't a selfish player who doesn't want those behind him to advance, we all know how much he helped neymar when he was at Barca, even how he's helping Fatima's and Ruig. In his last match he allowed Suarez to take a PK that he won, when last did the GOAT at juve give someone a PK or freekick to take. And don't make it look like Ronaldinho gave up his position at Barca he fell out of favour with the coach and coaching staff, he lost form, was growing fat, coming to training late and when he was there he would be Messing around dancing, singing or just being indisciplined. And to answer your question, I'd prefer to have Messi a player who guarantees 40+ goals a season, atleast 15 assists, amazing defense splitting passes, dribbles and runs to a player who offers nothing much more than entertainment to my team, just about 10+ goals and 10+ assists a season.. I'm not taking anything away from Ronaldinho and his achievement and in all honesty he is one of the most talented players ever maybe even more than Messi but he never had the consistency, discipline and standard that Messi has.. and thats the whole truth |
Joedoyle:I actually didn't want to reply you because your post smells of hatred. Ronaldinho was consistent buy not as consistent as Messi, he was in his early 30s when a teenage Messi pushed him out of favour in barca. Go do your research on Ronaldinho. He never had the consistency Messi enjoys, there were amazing seasons gbat Ronaldinho enjoyed but he never had that consistently. Ronaldinho would be remembered as one of the greats, but his name had never come up when we discuss the GREATEST OF ALL TIME. And saying Messi was consistent in only one team is hogwash. He's been consistent since he was 17yrs old, won international age grade trophies with Argentina, did well in his national teams. Though the teams didn't win anything but no one can blame Messi, he gave his best for Argentina. And consistency has nothing to do with whether you're in one team or several teams it just means you're doing well regularly day in day out |
I'd say Messi is a better footballer, he dribbles more consistently than any other play before him except for maybe Pele and maradona, he scores goals more consistently, be provides assists more consistently, he gives incredible passes more consistently. Now there's a reason I put the word "consistently" there.. Messi has been consistent for almost 16 years, Ronaldinho was in and out for a few years. He had just a stretch of 3 consistent years at a go. But he was a far more entertaining player to watch when he is in groove. He was more about the fun than the competition.. Ronaldinho made many people fall in love with football, likewise Messi.. for me Messi is a far more consistent footballer than Ronaldinho, even though they were very close in talent and ability, but Messi edges him out with consistency |
Artiiclebeast:Willian's deal is a free transfer. Arsenal doesn't lose anything but the wages it will pay willian and I think it fair enough for both parties. I'm not a fan of David Luiz either but he has done his but for arsenal too just like cech. I hate the fact that arsenal seem to have become a dumping site for Chelsea but those transfers weren't exactly waste and they were all free transfers. So it's a win-win |
I think the price is too exorbitant, but he isn't over rated, that dude is an electric footballer |
Like choping 6 goals?, That would be something special no doubt |
I don't don't think pep is a fraud, his most successful stinct was with Barca and he didn't spend much, in fact on the contrary he made allot of money selling off older players and walking the academy guys into the team, most of the recent Barca legensd were built during his time. Also at Bayern he didn't spend too extravagantly. And it's a whole new ball game with mancity, if we look at how much pep has spent in mancity compared to what his predecessors spent then you would say it's is considerable fair.. it's not like he brought in heavy spending into the club. It's been a pattern before he came on and also his competitions like man utd, Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are also heavy spenders. So pep is not a money coach.. As a footnote I think pep misses Arteta too much, that seat was supposed to be occupied by Mikel Arteta, he had gotten so used to communicating with him that it had become a force of habit.. |
I just love the simplicity of this man, see the setting of the birthday of one of the greatest sportsmen ever seen, he just did it low-key with his family and friends no party no huge brouhaha. But our people here with 50k monthly income will snap prebirthday pictures, makeup, buy new cloth, throw parties that would indebt them for months after. Well sha every Mallam with his own kettle |
flowx:Is this a clapback?, Really?, This is the most laughable and ridiculous clapback I have ever seen, so you know it is neither me nor tour friends that have lowself esteem but you. A lot of great men and Achievers have been snapped sleeping, the likes of Obama, the queen, famous musicians and sportsmen, and they all laughed it off.. kun Aguero is there also laughing it off. So who exactly are you that no one must snap you.. just enjoy your day, I am done with this |
flowx:I just pity your colleagues, you can't even take a small joke. What's bad about sleeping?, Everyone sleeps so no biggie, and it wasn't as if he was in an outrageous posture.. learn to loosen up bruv |
majamajic:Lol don jazzy's own was purely show biz then. He had the image of a DON to portray then and he was inspired by the Mafia kind of life. Remember his famous walking stick?, He just wanted to portray a larger than life image that's all.. neither he nor burna is sacred of public Speeches. Burna has spoken severally at big events, but I don't know his reason for he's absenteeism at major award shows though |
