As much as I love Messi and barca. I really pity the team. Barca could not even score with their first 11 against a 15th place Levante only Messi came on. The team needs to look for a plan B ASAP. And I suggest barca sends Messi on loan for about 2 seasons it would help the team to know their strength outside Messi and also to enable Messi conquer another league and stop Ronaldo fan boys from saying trash any longer

Please explain what you mean by coward he is just been called one because he can't fight. And in the medieval times, that was the main perquisite for bravery. But bravery isn't just how well you can fight, it's how well you can conquer with your mind. He doesn't argue because that's the norm back then.

I have been reading through this thread for a while, I have been tempted to comment a few times but I mostly find my commentary a little too shallow compared to the work some of you guys put in. Kudos to everyone on that. I have most especially enjoyed ksslib because he reminds my of the kinda outlook I have lost to the rigours and tools of this world, he reminds me of a time when I'd view a scene or an action through a kaleidoscope just to get different perspective to the subject of discourse, the days where I'd look at my palms with binoculars, so as to get the tinniest of details. I am not that old in age(before y'all think dumbledore somehow found his way here but I am old in soul( I have the soul of an ancestor, probably that's why I was named Babatunde .

I just find it appalling, disgusting and find it as a heresy of gargantuan proportion, that some folks here think Sam is a coward, I have read that shit more than once on this thread and it nauseates me every single time. It's crazy that people think Sam is a coward because he can't fight and that's a big lie and I'd explain by listing the reasons below.

1) Sam was the first person to kill a night walker, I know y'all gonna say he didn't mean to or it was pure luck, but that still doesn't take our the fact that SAM WAS THE FIRST MAN IN MODERN HISTORY TO KILL A WHITE WALKER. For those of you who think it was pure luck, I can categorically tell you that you'd probably be so petrified that you won't be able to blink when you see a Wight, it takes bravery to even pull out a blade against something that's can't die, he was lucky that was dragon glass but he at least tried, we can start listing several great fighters who fell before night walkers. But Sam didn't.

2) He attempted and successfully cure grey scale. Even when he knew that he would probably contact it, I mean the last person who tried it died that should scare anybody including the bravest of knights, and it's not like he was a maester then oh. Just a random guy who was brave enough to take on something that no other person had tried in centuries. I just let this point slide and let you ruminate on it

3) He saved Gilly against so much odds, you might think that isn't much of an achievement but for an obese guy who can't take care of himself to try and protect a mother and her toddler. Haaa no be small thing oh, especially through a wintery region behind the wall which is considered as the most dangerous place in the series

4) He showed that he is mentally tough when he was at the citadel, a man who came with high hope of reading books and finding the solution to the urgent problem that the was about to encounter been told to clean out poop and do ridiculous things for months, lesser men would have given up but not Sam. He stayed and conquered.

5) the fact that he even volunteered to go to war against the night King says it all. Even though he knows he'd mostly likely does after 3 seconds. He still wanted to go there.

Cowardice isn't about how weak you are physically but how weak you're mentally. And Sam is in no way a coward IMO

Just because he lacks physical strength, skill and techniques doesn't make him coward.
It's just like saying Tyrion is a coward because he's a dwarf and can't fight much, or that girl that spoke with ser Davos because she's too little to handle a blade. Most of our favorite characters are brave to us because they have very exception fight skills, big body builds, dragons or amazing war strategy but Sam has survived in all he has been through and he certainly has been through a lot more than most other guys in WF right now, with his physical disadvantage and I believe he deserves kudos

I am not a huge Sam fan though, I am just trying to correct a deep seated misconception of many commentators here. I think Sam ranks in my top 5 bravest character in GoT.

I see why it's easy to hate this episode & label it a total bore, but - to me - this is one of the best episodes. It's so subtle yet powerful. Maybe because it deeply appeals to my melancholic side.

No need to rush. I love the gradual transitioning. No need to rush. Is it not blood you want? Don't worry, it is coming. Blood will so spill you'll be forced to use rolls of tissue in wiping off splashes that flew from your favorites & landed on your screen protectors. No worry.

These are characters we've been with for years( I prefer to use "almost all our lives" , it sounds more dramatic ). Bretheren, these are characters we've been with for almost all our lives. They are our brothers, our sisters. They're now a part of us whether we choose to admit it or not. Some, or all of them, will die. And we'll miss them.

So why should we rush? Don't we want to be with them for one more, last final time? This episode is beautiful & powerful because most times we see the war, the bravery, the bloodshed, the victory, but most times we don't see the personal, emotional and philosophical battles they struggle with in the final moments leading to the war itself.

They are so many enriching, powerful scenes in this episode - one of them being the chamber gathering between Tyrion & Jamie, then joined by Brienne, Podrick, ser Devos & Tormund aka.. Giants bane...lol

But I'll talk about two.

One -my personal favorite actually - when Ser Devos was serving supper and this man, after collecting his share, tells ser Devos that he's not a warrior, panic visible in his eyes. Then this little girl comes up, collects her food and tells Ser Devos she wants to fight. So tiny in contrast to the previous man, yet no fear in those little eyes. Powerful stuff!

I was pissed at the man. Like how could this little child be willing to fight & die, but you want to cower & tow a coward's path. You no get shame? But then again, we all are victors or victims of our circumstances. The little girl said her two brothers were soldiers & she wants to fight too. But the man? Maybe he was an average
trader before, a care-giver nursing the elderly perhaps, a banker, or just an average Nigerian like you & me far faaar less braver & perhaps much more likely a coward than an eight-year old Afghan whom has tasted War. Like I said, we all are victor or victims of our circumstances.

You know, it's so easy to assume that since a war is coming, everybody will automatically be pumped-up, gingered, motivated, prepared & ready to die. Sadly, some will never be ready to die. Even in their death. That's life.

These are some of the philosophical psychological battles of war - and many more - people fight in the final moments even before the main war begins. And it's important to show it.

Second one is the post-sex scene between Gendrya.

Here, Arya is seen staring far far into the neverlands - a place only she can see- while that beautiful poetic rendition by Podrick plays in the background. Here, her eyes look wide open but she looks lost. She was there but wasn't there. This scene is so powerful that the look on her face could be interpreted for one-thousand different meanings and all would be correct.

Did Podrick dickmatize her? - as he did those whores - and she's here thinking, wow!! So na wetin I dey miss be this?. Is the War even worth it? Maybe we could find somewhere cozy below the crptys and I'll hide on this D1ck till the war is over. A girl has no shame..

Maybe here, Arya knows she'll die, and for the first time, death no longer has many faces and she's starting at death..... in the face...

Maybe for all the bravery, For all the "A girl has no face" shenanigans, For all the training, For all her cold-heartedness, deep down somewhere she's just like everyone. A normal human being like you and I afraid to die, wishing that this fffucked up world could be a slightly less horrific & a better place.

The only part I felt was a bit rushed at first was how Arya transitioned from pinning a triplet of dragon glass to a wood in quick successions to make Podrick facilitate the construction of her secret special weapon, to her pinning the same Podrick to bed few seconds later.

I felt it was too fast. I felt they needed a tad bit more bonding and... gasps.... fans who still saw Arya as that semi-innocent dedicated virgin girl were not ready to see her in this new light. But like I said earlier, what makes this whole episode very powerful is that it deals with the philosophical psychological battles people fight even before the main war begins.

Before you get disappointed or angry, I want you to understand that both in witchcraft & christianity, and science even, Time is a very important constraint. Time & Space is to the Universe and Mordern science/physics what Native chalk & schnapp is to Amadioha.

The concept of Time changes everything. When you know you have a certain amount of time to live, it changes your perspective about every fffuking thing. Everything!

Now it doesn't matter if you're made of steel like Arya or copper like Tormund , but suddenly, nothing else matters but everything matters. The little things like having the walls of your v@gin@ greased by this guy you kind of like. Coming from a long- ass frightening journey that almost featured your flesh on the Night's King's Archimedes sprial and the first thing you ask is if "The big woman is still around" .

This episode was beautiful, philosophical & very necessary. So many subtle but deep elements. Is it how Grey worm for all his muteness & devoutness to Dany's cause knows deep down that even if they win the war, he & Missandei won't fit in the picture?

My highlight of this episode is how it subtly reinforces "The concept of Time" as the most powerful force in the universe. And it's true!!!

There was a girl. Our chemistry was out of this world, maybe supernatural sef. We bonded so well, but didn't get to the stage where Arya & Gendry currently are before we later had issues.

We don't talk anymore. I don't even know if we are ever going to see again, talk again, or hear each other's voice again till we both die. But something tells me if somehow somehow the world is to be ending in the next 5mins and death is coming for us all, our tongues will be far deep in each other's throats & we'll be ffucking each-other in 3...2.. 1.

I'll title this beautiful Episode - "The Concept of Time: the battle before the War"..

I wish I could give you 1 billion likes. This is exactly wuat we mean by only smart people can watch game of thrones and enjoy it. The movie is more than war strategy, battles, sex and dialogues. It about physiology, sociology, science, philosophy and many more.

I repeat, there is nothing special that Ronaldo did in Real until his last 3 seasons. He was there for 9 years and they only won the UCL in his last 3 sessions. Meaning that his first 6 sessions was more or less mediocre. Some people said he was the one who made Real win their UCL, if that were to be true, he would have won it in his first session or at worst his second or third session but he didn't win it till his 7th session. Which means you can't say he was factor that made them win it but the team grew together and became a Europe conquering team. Not some outstanding Ronaldo magic.

And If it too Ronaldo 7 sessions to win the UCL with real, players like Hazard, Neymar and salah would win the UCL faster than that with that same Real team

I really feel for man utd fans this season. They have to "decide" whether to beat man city so that Liverpool( their sworn enemies) can win the league or lose the match so that man city their so much hated noisy neighbors can win the league. There is nothing that is happening to Real today that didn't happen to them when Ronaldo was there. And now that Zidane has come back and Real has been winning again people can now see that the problem wasn't a Ronaldo problem but a coaching problem.

Amongst those who you listed how many got to the final. And we know that it is Fifa tradition to pick the golden ball winner amongst those in the final and besides Neuer no other player in the final deserved the golden ball as much as Messi. Messi had the highest man of the match awards in the competition and was even the best player in the final even though he didn't win it. Messi scored 50% of his team goals even though he was playing from a midfield position.

The golden boot award has already taken care of the goalscorers. Golden ball is about something else entirely, but I don't really expect Ronaldo fan boys to understand that, because to them everything is goal goal goal

By your analogy Luca modric shouldn't even have been considered for the golden ball because he scored just 2 goals and one assist as a central midfielder, there were midfielders with better stats in the competition, but modric won it because of one thing IMPACT.
