BlackBaron: Why undertake such grand exorbitance in the face of austerity, yet Ngozi keeps saying the nation is broke.

Why not procure cheaper stately cars from Peugeot or Innoson.

Worst is at the end, this would be shared amongst the top hierarchy of government in exchange for a pittance
They can order some good luxury busses , 2 or 3 will do than buying 200 cars . Am very sure they hired the cars .

What is wrong with this ghanians , you are all off facts . Nigeria could never get worse and be under rated by ghana . Who are ghanians if not for human race they are all baboons .can't u think that ghana depend solely on foreign aids and Nairalnad is a Predominant aid you black monkeys are enjoying , and u still ranting on Nigerians that ran Gas pipe for ur power supply . What if we deny u of that supply does ur so called ghana country has the liquid fund to mount that Pipe line hun? U need to stop shouting here or cussing ur helpers (Nigeria) if u can't understand this am sure other african countries does. Talking about vaccination , that is an immigration problem and I bet all those travellers might not have possess fake yellow like ghanians inferred . Don't worry let me finish my refineries u ghania shall be scraped off ecowas . And I been in GHana lodged somewhere in lovekanleshi or sumtin ! A bitch ass girl had to steal ma 3560 Nokia soft touch phone and went away with my Nairas while sleepin . I never felt it now I use a blackberry bold 6 . But I know this mostly occured every where so not gonna blame for that . Ghana is very low in population compared to Nigeria so how dare u open u filty mouth and say rubbish to the Giant of Africa , Half of the ECOWAS funds comes from Nigeria govt . Bullshit . Its like comparing the carribeans to USA . Rubbish

Mystiqme: So I have been on this thread since 2010 and I have been following up throughout my GRE and TOEFL process, through my application process and through my spring rejects but I finally had my interview last Friday and this is how it went down.
It was pretty short (about 3 mins) as I told God I wanted the previous day and out of my over 20 documents, only 2 were requested by the VO.
I was at the Lagos embassy and about 4 VOs were interviewing:the African-American on Counter 1,one white guy on 2,one elderly guy on 3, and one other guy on the last counter.
The guy on C2 refused all the women that came for visiting(Did he think they were pregnant undecided). Anyway my token number was 174 and when i saw 173 on C2, I don dey fear but I don dey prepare my mind for a difficult interview even though I was sure I would make it.Suddenly C1 flashed 174 and I walked up to him on jelly legs. It seemed I had forgotten everything I had rehearsed. Anyway....
The Interview
Me: Good morning
VO: Pass your documents, please.
Me: I passed them. He scrutinized them and at the same time was looking at my face. Maybe he dey look this small boi wey dey go do PhD. huh
VO: Did you take the GRE?
Me: Yes I took it (I passed him my scores).
VO: Do you have your transcript?
Me: Yes, I do. I pass am.
VO: Looked at my transcript and asked 'What is ecology?' I guess this question came up because I studied Botany and I am going for a PhD in Ecology.
Me: I don already dey blow answer afterall na my turf na, but he stopped me and asked:
VO: What is the difference between Botany and Ecology?
Me: Botany is basically the study of plants while Ecology is the study of plants in their environment..both biotic and abiotic. Short like that, I no sabi talk too much wink
VO: So what will this degree do for you?
Me: Well, I already work here as a ...... so it will enable me get promoted more rapidly in my place of work.
As I was answering the last question He was already tearing the green ticket.
VO: Alright, I am granting you your Visa, go and collect it on Wednesday at Ikeja.
Me: In a small voice..thank you. I was trying to hide a smile but I was not successful. grin
All the best guys, I will try to be available to answer any questions. Cheers!
Congrats man .

How old are you if I may ask and did you present the hard copy of GRE or the online printout .

PoliticsRe: Pictures Of Wives Of Oyo Legislators Trip To London by product: 9:58am On Jul 19, 2012
Zutchy: You can imagine the absurdity that these A.C.N politicians are exposing us to. What on earth did they go to do in London at the expense of tax payers money? What kind of amorphous group is known as legislators wives that will warrant the state govt to bankroll this Owambe expenses from state coffers?
Who even approved this trip? Someone should please tell me that Ajimobi is not aware. This is the height of it. legislators wives? Not even the legislators themselves. MADNESS !
So this is what the A.C.N govt has in stock for the people of OYO state? A seminar to teach wives how to assist their husband on how to make laws?
We are not even talking about their legislative aides here. It could have made a little sense to say legislative aides were sent abroad to understudy how to assist lawmakers draft bills and motions.
To make matters worse, the speaker led this useless delegation. So that means she abandoned her duty for this useless illegal and absurd jamboree ? why A,C.N ? I thought you guys claim to know better. Even Adebayo Akala's govt in OYO wasn't this frivolous. You castigated him all the while and this is what you have offer? F.OOLS.
Seconded.

Anyway we shall continue to do our best .

@obsculyfe

I think there is an international money order at post office but not all post offices . So why don't you apply for a prepaid credit bank at banks and give your school the info to charge it for $25 , it is a lot easy coz the international money is kinda no more in service here in Nigeria .

Hope this help

SJames: This is my very first post on this FORUM: it's about my INTERVIEW, yesterday in Lagos, and how I got my VISA - so simple, so smooth, so 'GOD'!

ME: Good afternoon Sir!

VO: Good afternoon, please pass your documents

ME: Documents passed

VO: Why are you going to US?

ME: I'm going for my Maser's Degree in Electrical Engineering (I avoided mentioning my major, Renewable Energy; if he needs to know that, he should ask...shikena.)

VO: What did you do in your undergraduate?

ME: I did Electrical(forgot to add electronic) Engineering

VO: Which School?

ME: 'am sorry I didn't hear that (I didn't want to assume nothing)

VO: Which School was that? (now I heard the question clearly)

ME: Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife

VO: So, where are you going in US?

ME: Said(At this point he already tore the green part of my ticket, but I didn't focus on that)

VO: What year did you finish?

ME: 2009(I actually wrote my final paper on February 6, 2010 but 2009 was the official year printed on my certificate...so, I went with that, no story...no time)

VO: So what have you been doing?

ME: 'have been working with ABC Nigeria Limited, a systems integration company)

VO: What do they do?

ME: Access Control, CCTV, IPTV...cut me

VO: Did you write any test?

ME: Yes I did(I waited for him to tell me to bring it before showing him...)

VO: Can I see the score sheet?

ME: Sure!!!(gave him)

VO: So, who is sponsoring you

ME: My Uncle

VO: What does he do?

ME: He is an oil marketer....owns petrol stations actually

VO: Can I have his statement?

ME: Yes(passed it)

VO: You know of the 30days Entry Rule (Nodded my head)...Ok, Safe trip to US, you can pick your VISA on Thursday

************************ S M I L E S *********************************************
(Those Security guys collected money from me o...despite a bold board warning they should never do that...Naija sha...but I gladly gave them too...lolz)

SUMMARY

1. There was nothing about home tie question/answer in all of those stuffs...prepare to answer it confidently just in case it comes but please note that: God can by-pass rules, #HE did in my case! So, here is the answer I had prepared for a home tie kinda question: The Federal Government is planning a massive investment on Renewable Energy as the alternative solution to the power challenge, there are very few experts available in the field now...I want to be part of the first implementation engineers here in Nigeria...it's a huge opportunity coming back home and I want to seize it now. If your RESEARCH AREA is not indicated on your I-20(which I doubt), pick up an area of interest that sounds convincing, even to you...who tells you I will end up studying renewable energy? US Education is damn too flexible...so help yourself, avoid plenty technical terms.

2. Here written, the interview looks like a long one. But no, I spent less than 2 minutes; before the end of the first minute, he already tore my pickup ticket. What I think: They know what they are looking for...once they see it, every other thing is secondary. Be calm, go straight to the answers, don't try to impress...dress simple, be confident and above all trust GOD (not those papers you have packed together to prove a point...I had close to 50 of them, only 2 were asked). #GOD FACTOR

3. I had a guy beside me who expressed his preference for a VO that was more lenient, not because he wasn't denying VISA but because he still listened to your case...maybe your foolishness too. So I told my one-minute-friend: calm down, take your mind off facts and figures. FEAR only steals your confidence and increases your chances of being denied. The harsh guy he was avoiding (cos the guy was denying a lot of people) interviewed me and I got my VISA...didn't wait for his own turn so can't say nothing about his interview. Some people avoid Lagos, maybe some Abuja...I think you are only paying t-fare for your FEAR. The worst is: You get denied & you re-apply and they give you the VISA...You would't quit at this stage now, will you? So take some breath and hope in GOD...Feed your FAITH to fat and stab your FEAR to death!

I almost gave-up but for God. Now, I know how our mind works...you will be tempted to start comparing profiles to determine your own chances. Maybe you shouldn't go that way! God created us unique, that's why your credentials may be different from mine, let him direct you on where to turn...Leaving Naija for America is no joke, beyond the paparazzi. Sounding too spiritual? Sorry, that's how I'm wired-up.

Ok, America is calling me...have gat to go mehn...lolz
All the very best to everyone, all genuine pursuit included.
Prahhh . Gos is good

Congrats , He will do Mine too .

phy: Try to be reasonably consistent with what you filled in your past DS160. Get a WAEC scratch card handy this time around and make sure you package yourself well. Have a copy or printout of the result of any exams you have taken (TOEFL, SAT). If you haven't taken any exam, if possible try to get a letter or an email from your school indicating that you were exempted from the exams. I hope this is helpful
Thanks Phy

I will get all this documents , but my fear is that , the ages I filled is for my parent is not consistent but other things are , just the ages . Both dad and Mum and its coz I didn't ask them . How does that affect my application .
