Beauty pageants are places where grace and poise are meant to rule, but a decidedly awkward moment stole the show on Sunday.

Miss Universe 2015 host Steve Harvey wrongfully declared Miss Colombia the winner when she was the first runner-up. Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach, the contestant from the Philippines, had won.

A contrite Harvey was forced to fix his mistake.

"OK folks ... I have to apologize," he told a confused crowd in Las Vegas.

"Let me just take control of this. This is exactly what's on the card. I will take responsibility for this. It was my mistake. It was on the card."

Moments before, he'd announced Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez as the winner, and she was crowned. Waving a Colombian flag and smiling broadly, she blew kisses at the audience.

When Harvey returned to the stage, Wurtzbach appeared at a loss of what to do.

Stunned, she walked to the front of the stage, where the coveted crown was taken off the head of Miss Colombia and put on hers.

Harvey later took to Twitter to apologize, but he made another misstep when he misspelled both Colombia and the Philippines in an initial tweet. That message was deleted.

"I don't want to take away from this amazing night and pageant. As well as the wonderful contestants. They were all amazing," Harvey wrote.

I'd like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible.

A 47-year-old menopausal woman in Massachusetts, United States of America was given a pleasant surprise when she went to a hospital with complaints of stomach pain, was told she was pregnant and gave birth one-hour after.

Judy Brown, who had been married for 22 years without a child, noticed severe pains in her stomach which she thought signified she was going into menopause but told her husband to take her to hospital.

The stomach cramps turned out to be labour pains, and she was delivered of an eight pounds, two ounces baby girl the couple named Carolyn Rose.

In light of drop in patronages being witness across the country in our football viewing centres,the association of viewing centres in Nigeria is to hold a prayer session for Chelsea. Our company owned by Lebanese has just been sold to a South African company.Most of us have been in the company services for 5 to 7 years. The new management assures us in the last meeting with our staff representatives that our jobs is safe. Formal takeover under the new owner is this month. Should we be paid off first or continue with our number of years with the new management. The owner during the meeeting never mention anything like payoff.They only said everyone should continue with their jobs. People with experience about changing of management should please advise.
