Please what is the process of getting certified by TRCN? Thank you.
Just Google where they are located in your state (they should b located in ur state's capital), go and enquire from them that's all.
it's just to fill some forms (that's if you have education background), then wait for your induction and certification .
U are welcome

Very impressive sir, and thank you for dropping by. You are indeed a great teacher and lecturing jobs are not far away from you if you have your Masters degree.

Best wishes.
Thank you so much
All I want is to learn and improve cos I still got a long way to go.

o great! and the fact that I don't have a B.ed on it isn't a problem?

Thank you!
No worries about that. Just enroll for PGDE In Special Education so you can know the nitty gritty before enrolling for your M.Ed. in Special Education.
All the best ma'am

I don't really know about requirements for teachers outside this country but I do know about a professional body for teachers here in Nigeria called Teachers' Representative Council of Nigeria (TRCN). I am a member.
Good morning sir, please no vex o.
I am a member of Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) I don't think it's "Representative council" ooo. As I said before :No Vex oo

Hi Educationists and Life Changers,

I deemed it fit for Destiny moulders, shapers, and Life Changing personalities like you to come here and have a voice online, bascially on Nairaland.

Let's share ideas, ways to move forward as Educators, Teachers and Mentors in our various organizations.

Recent and genuine teaching jobs are allowed to be posted in this group as well. This group is for us to meet other Educators and Teachers from other places and schools, where craetive ideas and critical thinking will be the order of the day in our daily activities inside-out of the classrooms.

As Change Agents to our students, we will not be weary and tired of stirring up positive change in our students' lives and potentials.

Please, let's kindly introduce ourselves on this thread:

1. Where you work (employer) and Location
2. Qualifications (optional)
3. Your position and the subject you are teaching
4. Marital status (optional)
5. Your ultimate goal for your students

Thank you all for your cooperation.

Kind regards.
Wow nice thread...

Timossa:
Hello sir,

It's not going to affect you at all when you go for a lecturing job. NOUN is well known and recognised as one of the best National Open University of Nigeria, meaning it's a Federal University.

NUC can't say bardeldash about them. You are good to go sir.

Cheers!!!
thanks so much
I feel relieved now

Akell:
Mr., I'll strongly advice you do. The accreditation issue is a farce. A beef...

The NUC wants their palms to be greased.
The National Policy on Education recognizes NTI.

Besides, your certificate will not carry NTI.
It used to be affiliated to one University in the North, but now it's NOUN.

BEST OF LUCK!!!
So then if NTI is now affiliated to NOUN as you said why not just advice him to do it in NOUN directly instead of going through NTI? I don't know how true this is but I heard NTI was expensive ,but maybe their price has been reduced.
Bro NOUN and NTI are good but I advice :Go to the main source which is NOUN (since NTI will still Carry NOUN In its certificate )

Kaysalas:
sorry my response is coming this late, but pls can u give me an estimate of the cost from start to finish, and is it a year too. Other details will be appreciated
I think it shouldn't be up to 150k Cos the school fees is 82k (41k each semester ) then the remaining is for materials and project.
it's a nice school and I intend enrolling for a pgd program next year by the grace of God and I will advice you to start in earnest, just visit any study center nearest to u by first checking their website for the address. (just Google noun ).
it's fast and by December u should b through with your exams by God's grace
all the best.
