Thanks Prof, it took 1 week for each payment and I used Diamond bank.

Mine is UBA. Submitted on the 27th of june, was called back on the 28th to submit one letter that i bidded $1 to 285 at maximum, since then i have not heard from UBA but i guess its due to this long public holidays probably by next week Wednesday it should be sorted out. Thanks

My success story : fast forward, single OSCH was stated in my offer letter instead of dual, never knew until I was about to pay my fee, after several calls n mails to d schl, d error ws corrected and fee to pay increased...filled Form A at 2 different banks same time one at $10k and d other 7k plus, coz I was told if I fill $17k at a time it might not go tru...long story short,got mail frm schl dat my fee is short of AUD800 probably due to exchange rate calctns....eventually, all payment went tru n COE was sent, only for me to open d mail n found out it was a wrong COE, sent mail n made several calls...later got d original COE on 21st June, dat same day,lodged my application at TLS lagos, application got to pretoria on 24th June and grant arrived dis morning 1st July (6 working days)... All thanks to God, hubby n PFL Victoria Island

About visa: I can't point to which country visa is easier to get or not. What I do know is that visa issuance to a person depends on the applicant, purpose of trip and sometime pre-conceived information about the applicant nationality. Specifically, Turkish educational visa procedure is similar to any other visa types you apply in Turkish embassy while Russian educational visa works based on state approved invitation procedure.


About best school: in practical term, there is nothing like best school. You can talk about quality of education you will be receiving interms of facilities, status of the instructors, number of equipments, practical skills students gain during their studies, number of expert and field or concerted area of research and finance for research and research output etc. those are the metrics that are used to measure the quality and ranking of institutions. For instance if you wish to study anything related to nuclear engineering, Russia will be the most suitable country due to their expertise, facilities and technical knowledge in this field. Likewise if you prefer to study palm oil technology, you should choose Malaysia.
In summary, choose based on the above matrices. What you need is serene environment, institutions with facilities, modern and innovative research areas and highly qualified instructors be it young or old institutions.

Mine is UBA. and they way it is done now is not like before where you have the official rate. Now you bid. My bid was $1 to 285 naira at maximum. So if it sells for 283 they will sell it for me at the price but if it is above that 285, they will turn down my bid and i will need to start all over again. But what the bank told me is i can get my telex copy in 3-7days because the demand is low now as there is no money in the country like before. But my friends said it is not true that telex copy takes up to 1month that was why i asked here. And also i heard the route matters. Depends on the number of banks involved (intermediary-account with-beneficiary) while some is just "intermediary-beneficiary . Depends though, i am not a banker so i won't know much.

You may have to get dollars from parallel market and deposit into your dom account or someone else's domiciliary account so that transfer can be done to the school account. Alternatively, you can find out if the school has a website for online payment using you card. Then get dollar card like GTBank dollar card since it has no limit and make your payment on their website.

My father has a dormicilliary account with Gtbank that he can use to pay for me but the issue is which is better because the man that attended to me in Gtbank said they can as well make the payment from my normal savings account with Gtbank. Which would be cheaper? Buying dollar from bureau de change to pay with the dormicilliary account or paying with normal account there by they being the ones to sell the dollars for me. About the fight in France between English fans and the Russian, it is difficult to get the truth because the west does not like Russia and they will use every propaganda against it. For your information the same English fans enganged in another fight with some French fans yesterday, do we blame the Russians for this?
The golden rule is always try to respect yourself wherever you are, mind your business, do not get drunk, do not go out alone at night this way the percentage of you getting into trouble is reduced. No country is 100% safe, even the almighty USA.

USA is even worst. Places in the US like Detroit, Baltimore,jackson Mississippi,houston,dallas,chicago,queens new york are dangerous places to memtion a few. If you find yourself in Russia, find good friends that are genuine students and have good morals. Attend a good multinational church if you are xtian. Do not go out alone at night. It gets dark by 3pm in winter so go with friends. Keep a phone to contact friends. Avoid gatherings where you see a group of Russian men. Wear good shoes that is comfortable and hard on the snow as you might need to run incase of danger and the snow can get slippery. Always keep a photocopy of your visa, the police can stop you and ask at anytime. Avoid protests. Students will be tempted to go to nightclubs from time to time, go in a group if you will by catching a taxi. Avoid metros late night. Some Nigerians will borrow money and never return it. avoid unprotected sex as you need a medical clearance each time you renew your visa. Some illegals may steal your passport. Some may steal your money. Some may even harass you.
You study for years paying a lot of fees and You graduate with a piece of qualification without a pathway to being a permanent residency or at least work experience in your chosen field.

You can get a good education from there if that is the only thing taking you there. Some students did it. The question is if its a risk worth taking when there are other options....and better options at that. Life is what we make of it.

The reason blacks get bad treatment abroad is because when they come to our place, we worship them, if we were beating and harassing them all over africa, they will respect us. I still have a few friends there, some moved to western countries after their studies, some return back home, some married Russian women to remain in the country while some ran out their visas and became illegal(usually other Nigerians duped them when they arrived and took advantage of their finances in helping them get fake papers, accomodation and General necessities that a new migrant might need in a non-English speaking country). The illegals have someone to blame...agents etc..It's a hard life for Russians not to talk of Nigerians. Google "Nigerians/Africans in Russia " and you will find endless horrors stories of crime, homicide and lately prostitution. Abuse of human rights and injustice is common. Hence, you will be snubbed by the Nigerian embassy if you get into trouble with the law innocently or purposely. The cells are very cold and you can thank your luckily stars if you don't end up in underground prisons in Siberia where the temperature drops -50 degree centigrade. The economy is hurting and people there are desperate. You will burn out your cash from Nigeria and end up being a burden to family at home when you need more cash. You may earn a little while working but you'll barely survive on that and it's gonna be illegal if you are on a student visa. I am not trying to discourage but painting true pictures that most of our people learn the hard way. 15 guys living in 2bedroom apartments. .lol..Forget Facebook pictures that deceive people back home..grave reality bro..I think I have said too much already. However, I find Russian women less traditional. What I mean is that approach to sex is open and moral values are not reinforced. ..I hope am not stereotyping here but just my opinion. I find many Nigerian guys stuck with them in a weird marriage. .but it's just my opinion. The Russian guys hate you for dating their girls..they get jealous. I have heard of an African dude that was pushed in the river while walking with girlfriend in st.Petersburg.
