Business / Re: Was I Scammed By The Bank Or POS Operator? by professore(m): 2:47pm On Jul 07, 2023
OkayDaddy:
Not a problem.

Tell your bank to provide you with the session code of the transaction. Once given to you, give the receiver to share it with his/her bank.
That way, they can pull the transaction and it will drop in the receiver's account.

Opolopoopolonio:

Extremely faulty argument

Only in Nigeria do you see drivers and gatemen living in their own houses despite earning 30k minimum wage without having to pay mortgage for the rest of their lives smiley

And who says you can easily earn USD60 in the US without having to work your asssss out

Aside banking and teaching in Nigeria, most jobs are easy. Also, not everybody stays in Lagos where there is much stress.
And you have not seen a driver earning 150k or even more? And are you talking about those cubicles/huts made of mud that has no structural integrity in desolate places? C'mon that's not a house but a place to put your head. Because if you have seen a gateman living in his own house at Ikoyi come and tell me. Of course, you will work for every single dollar in the US, does that negate the fact that you can get it easily? No. If you want to combine 5 jobs in US, the jobs are available, only a lazy man will likely be poor over there. But a hard working youth here can be rendered useless. I'm aware people like you will come around.

they were liking it before, but I think this subsidy removal (which will most likely benefit them nothing) is hitting them hard. So, let's begin to properly orientate them before they won't be able to afford ordinary toothpaste and halitosis will finish their sufferheads.

By "sufferheads" I mean, they like suffering, hard life and pain.

Here is why - Nigerians will compare how much a commodity in sold in US dollars and convert it to Naira, if the result is higher than the Naira value, then they will say that it is cheaper in Nigeria.

Let's look at this analysis:

Let's say $1 = #500

Let's assume a cooking gas costs $60 in US.

Let's say exactly the same product costs #28000 in Nigeria

Nigerians will now convert $60 to Naira, which is equal to $30,000

Nigerians will now say that Nigerian government is trying, it is cheaper to get the product in Nigeria by #2000.

Nigerians have forgotten that you can earn that $60 easily in USA in an hour or two. But that is almost your own minimum wage here, which you earn in the whole of 1 month. Waking up rushing to work, getting back late at night. Hardly sleep, hardly rest, off you go again in the next morning. So between someone in USA and a sufferhead in Nigeria who will buy more property and live a better life? Who will live more comfortably? Who has a better polity, better system to thrive? So, stop this comparison, it doesn't work that way.

Sufferheads, all these comments you make online and government officials see them, it makes them tighten the rope on your neck which causes concussion to your sufferhead.

Drops my pen.

If people keep getting needlessly suspicious of one another. Who then suffers ?

In the end of the day, cynism destroys and damages human relations along with benefits that could have come out of good relationships.

The fear of betrayal is causing as great harm as betrayal itself. The balance is somewhere in between. Today I've touched atleast a combined sum of 20-30 M in my field of trade. It was a Nairalander I befriended some years back who met me when I was dying and broke that shared tips with me. What if our friendship didn't occur how would I not have died from the hardships I faced.

Humans need one another. The over glorification of these kinds of stories ruins potentially good relationships
can you teach me the trade?

These pains are becoming unbearable. It boils down to nothing but mismanagement of resources and selfishness.
Politics / When Nigerian Politicians Say Nigerians Will Survive by professore(m): 5:41pm On Jun 30, 2023
When Nigerian politicians make tough socio-economic policies that directly affect the masses and say "Nigerians will survive", I wonder the extent to which they lack "depth".

The question I want to ask them is this, do the politicians expect the masses to vanish as a result of their misbegotten policies?

Do the politicians expect that after making unwholesome policies all the people will disappear, and all that will be left in the country will be the ruling class?

This is where I am going, if the politicians make the most draconian law, never before made in the history of mankind:

A. Some people will die,

B. Some will make (lifestyle) adjustments and simply survive,

C. Others will not even see anything in the policy due to their level of wealth or perhaps, they even benefit from such policies.

In conclusion: it is because of people in category A, that we say the politicians should take actions with human face. Some people have already gone through the most severe pain and torture that they can withstand, further tightening of the rope simply knocks them out cold.

So, because you still have people to govern after making your noisome policies:

A. Does not mean you have not mur/dered

B. It does not mean you have not made families shed bitter tears in awful and extremely excruciating pain.

C. It does not mean you have not shattered and battered dreams.

D. It does not mean you have not made some people to have to live below the standard of animals like goats and dogs to survive

Think about these things going forward, these pains are becoming unbearable.

Mods I want this on the frontpage.

Age has gone but don't let it bother you. Why? If it bothers you, you will unconsciously be chasing potential ladies away. In essence, smile and be genuinely happy. Also, be deliberate about your strategies, make efforts (but don't be desperate).

To all the very knowledgeable Mods and Nairalanders in the car section, I salute you. Kindly be of help to me. Who knows I may be an employer of labour along the line, hence, contributing positively to the society (rather than squandering resources).

I want to go into the business of selling car spare parts.

A. Generally, what should I know?

B. From me, here are my queries:

What parts can can I speclise in

I. Engine and gear oil?
II. Jack, Brake Pads, Ball Joints, Wheel spanner, C- Caution etc.
III. Tyres?
IV. Car batteries?
V. Doors, windscreen etc?
VI. Anyone that is lucrative which I don't know

C. Does this business require importation, if yes, where do I turn to, China, Belgium, U.S and how?

They are the classical example of necessary evil, but there are still very good and intelligent marriage materials out there, real women, just don't look with your physical eyes, I mean don't look at standing breasts because they will fall tomorrow, don't look at how beautiful she is because you will definitely see more beautiful ones tomorrow while she fades, look at that thing that doesn't fade, the heart, look at the things that God will look at look at the things you want her to look in you, because a good heart will take all things because a good heart doesn't look at what ordinary people look at, it takes all THINGS, when you are sure you found her, go to her and tell her exactly what you think and want, I will not tell you what to tell her because that will be like doing it by the book and if a page of a book is lost, you will be lost, go tell her what comes out of your heart at that time, and you will see how smooth and easy it will be, if what you are going is to chase women around and testing, you will get HIV, if your plan is to get the best woman around you to marry, you will be successful and happy forever..
If you marry the wrong wife, you are finished,
GOOD LUCK
I love this Sir
