Alaba Rago, was there supposed to be a permanent slum like that in Lagos? Can they have that kind of place in Abuja or ONITSHA? I have known Alaba Rago for about 30 years. 30 years ago that place was just about 5% of the present size. Church Village of the Military era of Abuja that extended a little bit to the present Durumi from Area 1 extension was a modern settlement compared to the present Alaba Rago , yet as at that time, it was a slum and was pulled down. The same was Mabushi of the military era that was a slum and pulled down.

On the ECOWAS route, you cannot have that kind of slum in Lagos. It is not possible. I passed the place often and even last week coming from Alaba International. I passed through the pedestrian wooden bridge and paid the crossing fee .

When Okada was banned in Abuja and some cities in Nigeria no problem but when it was banned in some areas in Lagos there was protest. This is not a cheerful news at all. Chief Wale Edun and Keyamo should focus more on this Tax. Between 2010 to 2018 January I was deeply involved in Aviation sector. I left out of frustration. The corruption in that sector is second to none.

This is a reintroduction of corruption at NAHCO and SAHCO. It will create delay in Cargo release by creating bottlenecks for Cargoes Clearing and Forwarding agencies. There will be deals in attempts to reduce Tax on Cargoes thereby making millions of cheap money for FAAN workers at the Cargoes Terminals.

Dapo Abiodun will not go to that Senate on completion of his term. While Awujale was alive, I have written that Otunba Gbenga Daniel should not be allowed to do more than two tenure representing Ijebu at the Senate. In fact, I said nobody should be allowed to do more than two tenure.

I am suspecting this internal problem has its root in the Senatorial election of 2027.

Also, as Governor, Dapo Abiodun might have had knowledge about some Ogun State properties and money which was tactically and intelligently converted to personal asset by Otunba Gbenga Daniel. Since this was not made public, there is nothing we can do about it. Using Government laws to order demolition of properties cannot be used to seek redress for fraud perpetuated while in office.

Really Seyi Makinde is strong and APC members and late jagaban followers didn't like APC candidate, Murphy.

It is not that Seyi Makinde is strong, there was division and infighting within APC in 2019 election. Coming to OBI, just like Lt Col Victor Banjo and Ojukwu, it is Dr Doyin Okupe that I blamed. As at 2022, Peter OBI was nobody in Nigeria's politics. Nobody in Nigeria's politics. It was OKUPE that brought the case of IBO Marginalization to Baba Ayo Adebanjo. Baba Ayo Adebanjo carried the IBO Presidency as the battle of his lifetime. It was Baba Ayo Adebanjo and Dr Doyin Okupe that gave OBI a voice in National politics. Baba Ayo Adebanjo created the momentum supported by OBASANJO and some Yoruba elites.

When OBI left PDP after Tambuwal and AYU gave ATIKU the ticket. Presidency battle was solely between ATIKU and TINUBU. When OBI left for Labour Party if OKUPE and Baba Adebanjo had kept quiet and left him alone to drive his Presidential ambition, nobody would be hearing about OBI now.

Baba Adebanjo did that against Tinubu and the gods of the YORUBAS and died followed by OKUPE the same period.

When TINUBU won APC Ticket after a very hard won battle with Gunmen killing of over 40 people in Owo Church , Ondo State in the midst of that battle led by Late Akeredolu at APC Convention ground, Abuja. OHANEZE NDIGBO released a statement against Tinubu Candidacy. AFENIFERE led by Baba Ayo Adebanjo in Acting capacity did not find it appropriate to reply OHANEZE NDIGBO but will later follow Dr Doyin Okupe to give momentums and energy to OBI IBO Presidency. At last, OBI lost, both of them died and never witnessed Tinubu's Second Year Anniversary.

Tinubu Government designed an intra Lagos rail project, implementation started from Fashola. Last year, the Federal Government through MOFI approved funding (loan) for the Light Rail Project from CMS to Lagos Free Trade Zone area. In the wake of various oppositions from NORTH against Tinubu complaining of favoritism to the South, Nasir El Rufai complained about why the Federal Government should finance the Lagos Light Rail Project? I saw it, I marvelled. This is because at his level of intellect, he should know MOFI is an instrument and Lagos would pay. Also, Federal Government is making billion of dollars from investments along CMS, across CMS(Apapa) and Lagos Free Trade Zone.

Later, I saw that Kaduna, Kano have also been given the same facility considering the one in Abuja is under Federal Government obligation.

So, they demanded for it and got it. Kano is a commercial centre, highly populous and very rich as well.

Few years ago, Professor Wole SOYINKA was at the receiving end on a Flight just because he sat beside the Window interchanging his seat with the young man besides him and the young man rudely refused to leave the seat despite the Pilots and passengers appeal. Nairaland, as usual was full of insults against Professor Wole SOYINKA for several days across many threads. So, being a YORUBA, I know Otunba Wasiu K1 will be at the receiving end.

I know why it is always like that. Baba Ayo Adebanjo and Dr Doyin Okupe never knew there is a problem on the ground and created
a greater problem and died with the problem.

Time would tell. What transpired in the plane is known to the Supreme God.

..Every government in power has kitchen cabinet and those they favor. The current government granted some licence to import to some of their cronies.. even when it was clear that we have a local refinery that can meet local need. Now Dangote is forced to export its petrol in order to sell, while some groups backed by the government take our scarce foreign exchange to import.. same people would submit the import bill to the government and claim they sell below the cost price to meet set market price.. Government would tell you no Subsidy provision in the budget but they would go behind and pay those people and call it Under-Recovery. The malfeasance and corruption in that sector is scary..

Two things make importation, the subsidy or Under-Recovery claims like i mentioned earlier and the fact that the fuel being imported are mostly blended cheap fuel and these same guys own some of these blended plants in other parts of the world. Most countries won't take this kind of fuel but Nigeria where anything goes has a ready market due to poor or easily compromised regulatory authorities.. these are the monsters and saboteurs Dangote fight on a daily.

You are the calibre of people needed on Social media. People that know about insiders deal. People that know the business of power. When DANGOTE cry we never knew what is happening. From my Regimental experience about deals at Ports and Jetties, those import license granted by government, the importers will only import about 70% of the value and collect 100% subsidy. The imported fuel would be of lower quality to maximize profit.

From my earlier suggestions in the morning, Government should ban Importation of PMS but give 5 months notice. You can read my first contribution on this subject matter.

PEF has since been abolished. It was introduced to ensure uniform price of fuel across the country. That too was abused by our people as usual.. that's why you see price increase as you move Northwards..

There are vested interests in high places facilitating this importation business and their only motivation is that they would be able to claim subsidy on false importation figure not necessarily because the importation is so profitable.. yes subsidy still happens through the backdoor..

they do all these things and give us the reports later. That's how Government is run in Nigeria. Remember the ways and means?!

I know PEF have been abolished but I was confused when DANGOTE was mentioning falsification of figures about PMS consumption repeatedly. He said the pms importers and Ally in government have been inflating figures. I have been wondering about what concerns Government, Nigerians and DANGOTE with figures since no payment is based on the figures and no subsidy on FOREX for essential commodities and no CRUDE OIL Swapping Deals again.

During JONATHAN Government when crude oil was above $110 per barrel. 1. Subsidy was been paid 2. CRUDE OIL Swapping Deals was on. My personal friend worked with a popular downstream oil company at Lekki Phase 1 as Bunkering Superintendent. Wallahi, it was deal galore. Everyday at that company was like CHRISTMAS. It seems the external Caterers that supply Lunch foods always prepared for visitors. The environment was always in festive mood with every staff happy celebrating one thing or the other. I always took time to visit my friend whenever I visit Lekki provided he is not at Apapa Jetty.

Few months after BUHARI came, I visited, the place had changed. It was like a mourning period. The deals have stopped and their company listed among companies being investigated by EFCC. They complained that companies with very strong interest in Buhari Government are still enjoying the subsidy and other deals. They said they are being victimized because their Chairman's wife is Mama Peace Jonathan personal friend.

Are there other payments Government is paying based daily consumption? I am aware Petroleum Equalization Fund (PEF) makes payment for bridging gap. What are the other things that can cause falsification of figures?

This is the reason they are against DANGOTE. The Cabals will be against him. Tinubu blocked subsidy, DANGOTE wanted to close loopholes.

Let it be a monopoly. Local investors cannot be in competition with foreign refineries. Why are the importers lowering their prices? They import fuel in Ghana, Togo, Benin, Niger and Chad and other countries why is it that it is in Nigeria the importers are competing with local price?

Moreover, local refineries use our money to develop our economy (roads, employment,etc). Foreign refineries take our dollars to develop their economy.

The purpose of local refineries is to reduce pressure on FOREX , build local institutions and capacity and contribute to nation's building. Foreign refineries have nothing to offer Nigeria.

Remember how foreign airlines lowered Lagos London flight below Peace Airlines price at the time of entrance of Peace Airlines to London Route to frustrate Peace Airlines.

With 4,000 trucks, DANGOTE should be able to reduce price.

Tinubu, this is highly unacceptable. From 2022 to May 2023 we fought spiritually and mentally to bring this Government to power, you must do something now. Give PMS and AGO importers a 4 or 5 months IMPORT BAN notice.
From November 30th or December 31st of this year, there should be no more PMS, AGO and Aviation fuel importation.

This notice is to enable the importers close the deals they had with their overseas Refineries. It will also enable DANGOTE Refineries and other local refineries scale-up their facilities and storage tanks with PMS and AGO that can meet local demand for 6 months if their refineries should develop fault during the Importation BAN period.

NNPC is afraid of ENERGY CRISES should local refineries failed to meet demand. If Government Ban Importation and DANGOTE Refineries breakdown or unable to meet local demand this will create serious energy crises. Government should give 4 or 5 months notice before the total BAN . NNPC should monitor local refineries to be sure they have enough reserve for at least 5 months before the ban.

Money in the Reserve would have been up to $100 billion or more as oil price jumped above $100 per barrel in 2008.

Yaradua played to gallery to satisfy anti Obasanjo crusaders and stabilize his rulership. He wasted Independent Power Project, cancelled refineries sale that OBASANJO fought to sell, allow importation of Cement.

After $18 billion dollars wasted on refineries maintenance they still want to continue spending money on Portharcourt Refinery. No problem.

ADC was the tool people believed OBASANJO wanted to use to challenge Buhari from returning to power in 2019. Oyinlola was the face of ADC. He carried the gospel of ADC with great vigour. People believed he was fronting for OBASANJO as people believed OBASANJO owns ADC in 2019. Gen Oyinlola said Buhari betrayed Obasanjo for the support he gave to him to become President in 2015. When it became clearer that ADC will not make any impact shortly before 2019 election Obasanjo diplomatically dissociated himself from any political party .

Gen Oyinlola at Ilese Ijebu, welcome back to your Party ADC 2019. When we try and fail we have temporary regret, when we fail to try we have permanent regret .

Some that speak Yoruba are not YORUBAS they have biased to their ethnic group but faking alliance to YORUBAs .

What Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Dr Doyin Okupe did, no tribe in Nigeria can do that and that is why they left at the same period.

Baba Ayo Adebanjo carried the battle of OBI IBO Presidency as the battle of his lifetime and he died for that battle. Baba Fasoranti is still alive today to the glory of God. It was Dr Doyin Okupe that brought the case of OBI and IBO Presidency to Baba Ayo Adebanjo. It is spiritual that both died almost the same period and never witnessed Tinubu's Second Year in power.

Before the 2023 election, between 3rd quarter and last quarter of 2022 there was an IBO documentary about Lagos which was circulated among some IBO elites. There are two of such documentary. One is more comprehensive than the other. My friend who worked with UN in New York sent one to me. Another friend with an Africa body in Addis sent me another one I am sure he got it from another source in US. In those documentaries, the IBOS clearly stated that they are the majority TRIBE in Lagos. They said Lagos is a no man's land. They said the original owner of Lagos is Benin, Since Benin left leaving only the throne, the settlers take over Lagos. They gave historical accounts of major names and their origin . They mentioned about Jakande, Tinubu, etc and concluded that they have the highest population and investment in Lagos, therefore they should be in charge of Lagos.

As at 1992, long time ago, an Urhobo man that visited Lagos living at Orile Iganmu told my dad that Lagos would be taken over by the IBOS one day based on what he saw.

Now, Lagos is just like Dubai. In Dubai the percentage of the Native Arabs to the Immigrants is around 10% while the immigrant is around 90%. Senator Aduda in Abuja is in a very serious situation at Abuja. Buhari despite his huge Northern based supporters cannot win Abuja. Jonathan defeated him. In Dubai, in an open general election there is no way an Arab can win an immigrant.

In Lagos, the estimated percentage of the IBOS and South South is around 65% while YORUBA is around 25%, Hausas around 10%. Some of the people that speak Yoruba are not Yorubas but immigrant with loyalty to their ethnic group but YORUBAS never knew their hypocrisy. Most of the traders and artisans and area boys you find in Lagos have no electoral value to Lagos as most don't live in Lagos and nearly all of them don't vote.

I just laughed at your comment that one section of the country wants IBO to bend for them to have peace in Lagos. If not for Nigeria, that is If there is no Nigeria, one section of Nigeria would have been driven away from Ghana, South Africa, Benin and Togo long time ago. The Africa countries know about Nigeria very well. South Africa and Ghana will send Nigerians home one day.

If not for Pa Ayo Adebanjo and Dr Doyin Okupe, OBI was nobody in Nigeria's politics and would have still been a nobody in Nigeria's politics till today. They fought for IBO Presidency and died for the battle.
