Romance › Re: This Is The Reason I Want To Leave My Wife by prophetfire: 2:46pm On Nov 17, 2024
Valoromega:
I've been married for a while now and I have a daughter.

My wife and I has always had issues, anytime issues arise her first reaction is to leave the marriage.

She has said this several time and u cautioned her about the statement because I don't like it ( she's making it seem she's doing me a favor by marrying me)

So last week we got into an issue because of my younger sister who I gave money to for her store rent, my wife found out about it and was very angry, she said that I gave my sister money without informing her and that she needed Money I refused to give her ( I gave her 150k Dat same day to change her Clothes).
She also accused me of cheating which was not true, she said she very young and fresh and she can go outside anytime.

She had once told me that she had cheated on her boyfriend with another guy once when she was in school because the boyfriend was misbehaving.

So I thought about everything and the fact that she continuously accuses me of being a bad husband, and abusive husband ( I've never hit her before) and that she was tired of the marriage.

So I'm thinking of calling her father and collecting the bride price I paid for her because I'm tired of the whole thing
Your wife has the termerity to be threatening you with leaving you and that she's still young for other men and challenging you for giving your younger one money without telling her and all sorts of verbal abuse and you are asking if you should put her in her place?
I believe you must be an Igboman. Igboman are the weakest of men when it comes to marriage.
Kick her out already let her go and flirt around with those men she's crushing on and then discover too late that they'll only use her as sex object and dump her.
STOP BEING A WEAK MAN AND ASSERT YOUR AUTHORITY AND DOMINANCE IN YOUR HOME.
Anyone that challenges it should be thrown outta the streets!
Family › Re: Is There Anything Wrong To Ask My Wife Weda She Messed Up While I Was Away by prophetfire: 9:34pm On Nov 16, 2024
pelusi:
I traveled outside the country for 8 months now while my family is in Nigeria.

Now I will be returning to Nigeria next week. For this 7 months, I kept myself and did not mess around(slept) with any woman.

However, it's not that I don't trust my wife, but atimes I have an instincts that she may not hold herself like I did and may have fallen in hands of men.

Where I come from, it's an abomination for any married woman to sleep with another man because of the dare consequences it has on the husband of the adulterous woman.

Now I'm coming back soonest,I'm scared if she has slept with another man and I was suggesting before sleeping with her to sit her down and ask her to sincerely tell me if she has fallen in my absence,so that necessary things(cleansing) can be done before I sleep with her.

On the other hand, I'm reasoning whether asking her such will cause a misunderstanding in the marriage.

Please advise on the best way to go about this.
It's like you are from Urhobo area of Delta State.
I think you need to pull her aside and remind her of your culture and ask her the question in the light of that culture. I'm aware of that culture but I thought it's only when the man is aware and doesn't speak out that he faces repercussions.

Romance › Re: My Room Mate Telling My Girlfriend To Sweep The Room by prophetfire: 1:38pm On Nov 15, 2024
Undilutedme:
Hello, Nairalanders. Good morning, I’m going to be short.

I stay in Ondo and I just finished my youth service and currently, I’m staying with long time friend(We’re splitting the rent) till we are able to find our way. Something happened last week Friday that has brought a little misunderstanding (We don’t flow like before) and I want your opinion.

Okay, so I went to my work, I work from 8-5, sometimes 6 and that day, my girlfriend called me and said she was around the house and wanted to wait and see me, I told her it was fine that I would be back soon. I went back later to the house and I met her, my friend wasn’t around then. The house was very neat, but I knew she was the one who swept it, so I didn’t ask. But one talk led to another and she told me it was that my friend that told her to get broom and sweep the room. When she said it, I wasn’t so cool with it because I felt he didn’t have that right to tell my girlfriend to sweep the room. Even if she wanted to sleep it, I should be the one to tell her and not my room mate. I told him and he didn’t see anything wrong with it and insisted that I didn’t like it and he shouldn’t do it next time, because I found it a bit disrespectful to myself and my girlfriend. Since then, he hasn’t been so cool, we talk but not like before. Did I overreact? Do you think it’s okay or wrong for my roommate to tell my girlfriend to sweep the room?

NB; I do not tell my girlfriend to sweep the room when my roommate is around, so it doesn’t bring “see finish “ so, she’s never swept in his presence before, but she does it when he’s not around.

Also, he has his girlfriend that comes to the house too and I have never told her to do anything like that before. So, what do you guys think?
You are still struggling and it's girlfriend matter that you're carrying on your head.
PATHETIC SIMP of a man!!!!
Not even a wife, but a girlfriend!

And what's wrong in telling your girlfriend to sweep the house?
That's how you guys elevate them to a platform and later on when they start misbehaving, you start crying.
Continue to spoil her and be having problems with your fellow man all because of a woman just because she spreads worthless pussy for you to fuvvck.
Nonsense!!!
Family › Re: The Part Men Don't Talk About by prophetfire: 1:17pm On Nov 14, 2024
1stDoggystyle:
Life is a mirror but that mirror is centered on perspectives. Men hardly want to talk about the wives that left.

She stayed when there was money to spend and "flashy to live". Then when I got out of job and was struggling, I kept coming home and saw her always thinking with her fist under her chin.

She'd start unnecessary fights and arguments: all those gimmicks. But I had so much worries that bothers me so I just take a long walk or sit outside.

One evening, I came back and saw my house empty. My set of chairs gone, my TV gone. Haa my generator too! Naa that one pain me pass cuz I have had it before I even met her.

One of my neighbours, called me to ask if we were moving out. I told him iam just getting home and surprised my house is empty.
Well, she left the camp gas and one student bed which I had bought since 2013.

My neighbour, an old man told me She and her mum and one young lady came to pack the things. While I was out trying to get things working, she was there packing my property to her newly rented home. She left with my child. I wonder what she and her mother's plans were.

These are parts we men don't get to talk about despite the pain and deep seated psychological rejection it brings. I reported her to my fam and they asked me not to call her. One day, she called me and I didn't want to pick but I felt like some magnetic wave pulled me to pick the call. It was my son that spoke "daddy hello, we don't have food and my school fees is not yet paid". I told him what his mother had done and all I have been doing. That day I sent some money to them.

Later on, one of my friends told me they saw where she lives. What do I want to go and do there?
Initially I was very angry that she left with my property and all that; I was hell bent on locating her but as time went on, I just kept laughing... Why do women do all these things?
You should thank God that she's gone so that when you pull yourself together you can enjoy your life well without a pretender who never appreciates you.
Rejoice that she's gone. Just be taking care of your child from where you are and when he's old enough, reconnect.

As I'm talking to you right now, they are saying all manners of words, that I disrespected them and the they won't pity me with the list they'd give me.

That aside, to be brutally honest with you, I didn't mean to disrespect them, I have tried all manner of ways to walk out of this marriage but I don't see that happening. Maybe this will be the deal breaker, I won't do any of what they mentioned, absolutely none. I believe it'd make them hate me and by God's grace I pray and I'm praying hard for them to talk about returning my bride price to me.
Don't spend a dime to pay any burial expenses for them.
Dont try that. If they won't bury their father, let them leave it.
Family › Re: My Wife Family Mounting Their Father Burial Expense On Me, How I Reacted At Once by prophetfire: 3:50am On Nov 14, 2024
BlindAngel:
Good evening Nairalanders, few months ago I posted here regarding how my wife forced me into marriage that I wasn't in anyway ready for because she got pregnant. I posted about the regret I'm still battling until date, because the love isn't there from my own end and I'm also not in anyway attracted to her physically. I have told her severally that I want to option out of the marriage and not doing again but until date she has refused to let me go.

Back to the main point, my wife lost her dad this morning. Her deceased dad has two wife's and several concubines that gave birth to lots of children, my wife doesn't know some of her half brothers and sisters.

So I went to their family house this morning to console them. The eldest son of the family (her half brother) told me and another in law that we'd be the one to pay for mortuary expenses and casket, and when the burial is getting closer they'd give us a list of things to buy and we'd both bring one goats each.

To be brutally honest I wasn't mad because of this latest expense, I got furious immediately and right on the spot because of the pressure my wife pressured me into getting married to her, by now I'd have been totally free of these unnecessary expenses. More than 19 of her sisters, both biological and half sisters that has given birth, no single expense was listed for their man that they got pregnant for and has a child for. But I and the other in law that paid dowry are the one going through these unnecessary expenses.

So immediately he told me about everything, I charged at my wife right on the spot, right in front of her mom, her brothers, her sisters and some of her friends that came for condolence visit. I got so furious and started shouting at the top of my voice, I reminded her how she forced me into marriage that I'm not in anyway prepared and ready for, both physically, psychologically, emotionally, financially. (I have been reminding her regarding this almost on a daily basis and whenever we are quarreling.

I reminded her how she threatened me with suicide and our of fear of the unknown I wasted almost 4m in getting married to her. I told her that I'd have been free of these expenses if not for her pressure.

Immediately she burst into tears, and started crying endlessly.

Her mom and sisters started yelling at me and I yelled back at all of them. They told me I met her a Virgin and now she's no longer good for me (truly, the whole family thought that I was the one that took her virginity) My wife and I agreed to keep it a secret, but the constant remainder from her mom and sisters made me let the cat out of the bag, I told them that I didn't met her a Virgin that she has already started having sex when I met her, they didn't believe me but with my tone, I know they'd.

I also made mentioned that I'm not buying any goat or paying for mortuary or taking any list from them. That it's their dad and they should take care of every responsibilities, after all he has uncountable children, why putting some of the expense on me? I walked away, and switched off my phone until now that I'm just putting it on.

I know that I acted wrongly and allowed my anger to get the best part of me. But I was furious because no single bill went to her sister's baby father's, absolutely nothing was listed for them. I got furious because these expenses won't be on me right now if not for her pressuring me into marriage that I want ready for. I was furious because I and the other in law that they billed became the scape goat by doing the right thing by getting married and not leaving theirs daughter In ruins, where as those that got their daughter pregnant without getting married to them were totally free from these unnecessary bills. I'm in so much pains and regret right now.
I support your snubbing the family but I don't support your saying openly that your wife pressured you into the marriage.
That one is wrong totally. Even if she did, you as a man took the decision.
