You talk too much like a woman who seek for your advice. So to you owning a car is what you call achievement. Car is a necessity for mobility not a criteria to define wealth.

Even the white that manufacture vehicles still drive old versions of cars you black man full of pride brake your bank account to buy a car just for show off. Be wise, my Altima can take me to where ever your 2020 Lexus can take you to.

So you haven't use the car before yet you talk bad about it I thought you have sense. who invited you to this discussion in the first place? Because your colleague that can't maintain a bicycle got a car higher than his capabilities you come here to talk rubbish. That is how some of you talk bad about Honda yet I used it and never had any of my wheels pull off. Go and learn you are a virus that need to be formatted from Nairaland.

Thanks, now I know. This Nissan has not given me much issues so I know little about the parts and their costs.
It's just this p0113 code that is present as a fault in the ride and it's because the kazeem bought a sensor for Almera instead of Altima.

I guess u are one of those guys that knows little or nothing about automobile are you wiser than the engineers that built the Altimas can you manufacture a nut?

Don't call any vehicle useless when you can't make a switch. So far Nissan is giving me peace of mind not visiting workshop often. Even humans fall sick some fall sick often than others would you now say that the person is useless because he/she falls sick easily all you need do is take good care of yourself same applies to a vehicle. This is just an advice for neverknowhow like you.

Please Nissan fans in the house does any know where I can buy MAF sensor for a 03 Nissan Altima either brand new or so-called tokumbo I couldn't get it here in IB the rewires here are bunch of old fashioned stuffs telling me they have to keep trying different sensors until they are able to find the matching one. I do not understand what that means. Kind of try n error, can't accept that for my Altima I still love the ride.

Thanks bro if I understand you well 8080 is part of what I should look out for.
The truth is some if not 80 percent of Nigerian rewires are backward in automotive repair, the last guy almost send my Altima to early grave he said he can convert it to use a different sensor instead of searching for the one made by Nissan for Altima.
Car Talk / Nissan Altima MAF Sensor by prosper427(m): 6:28am On Mar 02, 2021
I have a 2003 Nissan Altima that has fault code P0113 Intake air temperature sensor high input. The car now looses pulling power and also hesitate during acceleration. When I checked the MAF sensor I saw 4 pins but my Nissan has 5 wires to the MAF sensor a Rewire change the original sensor that came with the car to Nissan Almera 4 pins after trying hundreds of different sensors with 5 pins here in Ibadan. I suspect those sensors are not for Nissan altima I don't understand why they keep saying its difficult to get the right maf to work except keep trying sensors. My question is does anyone know where I can buy the right sensor for my Altima? thanks.

Thanks Ruby but how do I know an OEM belt? And you said I have to change my water pump pulley is that really necessary.??

I want to know everything because I am really fed up with this timing belt stuff, it's driving me nuts.
Car Talk / Re: Timing Belt by prosper427(m): 9:53am On Jun 16, 2019
A mechanic just changed one for me yesterday he said the reason I keep having timing belt issue is because I have been buying brand new one and they are of less quality.

Now he brought a fairly used belt commonly called Belgium this one is quite tiny he assured me this one would last longer than the previous one. It cost me around 10k both the belt and fixing,I hope this one last.

Car Talk / 2000 Camry Late Shift by prosper427(m): 2:52am On Jun 03, 2019
Hello everyone, just got a 2000 Camry from UK a right hand drive which I converted to left and this is my first Toyota. Please I want to know if this is normal.
My car shift from first gear to second at 3000 rpm while the speedometer Needle pointing at 25km. My mechanic adviced me to service the gear box which I did with Mobil ATF yet no changes.

Now what I discovered lately was that if I get my foot off the gas pedal slitely the shift from first gear to second happens earlier around 2400rpm is this normal or is there something I could look out for, or was the ECU programmed to work that way. Please I need help from car professionals in the house.
Car Talk / Re: Thread For Toyota Users And Lovers by prosper427(m): 3:35pm On Jun 02, 2019
I have scanned the car severally no code was found. What I discovered lately was that the gear shift from 1-2 usually happen when the speedometer Needle is at 25km and rpm at 3000.

Now if I get my foot off the gas pedal slitely, the shift from 1-2 happens earlier than 25km and 2400rpm this was how the car was delivered to me it was a guy who drove it from Lagos to me so I do not know if that was how the car came in to Nigeria or it happened on his way from Lagos. So pls do you know what is wrong or is this common with Camrys or could it be that the ECU was programmed to work that way.

Just got a 2000 Camry with 160k miles on it .It is my first Toyota so I do not know much about Toyota what i really want to know now is why does my Camry shift into second gear at 3000 rpm I know if you push the pedal hard on auto trans. they usually shift at higher rpm but mine shift at 3000rpm even if I baby the gas pedal is this normal or could there be something I could look out for?

The oil has been serviced with Mobil ATF so I don't think the problem is oil related please all Toyota users and lovers is this normal for my year and model of Camry?
Car Talk / Re: Gear Shift Problem, Please Help I'm Spending Too Much On It by prosper427(m): 8:42am On May 31, 2019
Hondas are good cars I've used one of the Accord model they have beautiful interior and body designs but the 1999's are known for their gear problems both the Accord and CRV. But one thing I believe is to stick to their recommended transmission fluid that may at least help.
