if you want to enjoy vegetable production, imbibe the use of organic manure such as poultry or rabbit faeces. also if you can get a litre of rabbit urine from a rabbit farmer( mix 1 litre of rabbit urine with 20 litres of water), spray it on the leaves to kill pests that attacks the leaves. how to water and when to water is very important. watering in the afternoon or when the sun is harsh causes more damage than good to the plants. so water early in the morning or late in the evening. evening watering is better because the water stay long in the soil for usage by the plants unlike in the morning that is easily dried up when the sun is up. when watering, the roots needs more of the water than the leaves. so focus more on the base of the plants. over watering causes leaching of essential nutrients in the soil, so avoid it. jades5050:pkc can be used if it is available in your location. pkc is preferably used in Growers feed and in some cases broiler finisher feed |

wolffire:lysine and methionine are building blocks of protein(amino acids ). so when calculating crude protein of feed, they are not included as crude protein parameters but rather calculated seperately. if you check feed labels, you'll see that crude protein, lysine and methionine levels are calculated separately. so lysine and methionine are added as additive to meet up the nutrition requirements if it is not enough in the diet. for instance if you check the broiler starter formula on this page, there was no lysine included because the quantity of soya used meets the demand of lysine in the diet, so adding another dietary lysine is waste of funds. 1 Like 1 Share |

calculation of crude protein of the feed maize crude protein= 10% soya crude protein = 42% wheat crude protein = 15.6% calculation of total crude protein maize 10/100 × 58 = 5.8% soya 42/100 × 29 = 12.18% wheat 15.6/100 × 5 = 0.78% total crude protein in feed = 5.8 + 12.18 + 0.78 = 18.76% |

I have 7 noilers that lays 6-7 eggs everyday. the difference between them and normal layers is that their eggs are bigger in size and they consume more feed. 2 Likes |
