I want to start a hatchery business and I need your advice. I am importing the machine and its fully electrical and automatic. As for power,light in my place is super stable at least 23 hours per day if not 24, hours. We hardly have power loss. Please I don't want to run at loss so I need comments and advice.

Sir, you need to go for hatching training or employ a trained staff to handle the machines.
for you to break even, should be running at least 80% of your machine capacity.
hope you know a mini hatchery consists of a cold room, setting machine, hatching machine, cooling machine and borehole as a water source.
before you start, have a standby generator and do proper marketing to ensure you have steady supply of hatchable eggs.

I just completed self contained two rooms with the sum of N1.2M. building materials are freaking expensive. generally cost of building varies depending on the location, contractor, size of building, soil type, topography etc.

Location: some materials are cheaper to get depending on the location such as sand, concrete, timber etc.

contractor: a bad contractor can increase the cost of your project up to 30%.

size building: construction of big and large building saves cost a bit because most materials are bought at discount directly from the company such as cement(with free delivery)

soil type: if the soil is swampy, more money is spent on the foundation.

topography: more money is spelt to construct on sloppy land.

taste of architecture: the more beautiful the house, the more expensive the construction.

it always important to consult an architect and quantity surveyor before embarking on your building project .

there is no good business that does not require much supervision. if you don't want to supervise the business then you have to pay for someone services to do so on your behalf. technically, business obeys Newton's 3rd law of motion(to every action there is an equal and opposite reaction). the more time you give to your business, the more it expands.
but if you really don't want to spend more time in supervising a business, then you need to invest in someone's idea.

before venturing into pawpaw plantation, it is advisable to do your marketing proper such that the harvest does not perish. pawpaw is highly perishable, so the earlier it is sold, the better for the farmer.

Mr farmer, you have a good plan but it will be too cumbersome for you to start everything at once. take it step by step.

first of all, you should reconsider your choice of using noilers, I believe broilers are better because they can attain average of 1.5kg between 6 to 8 weeks and their meats are tender when compared to noilers. then most customers don't just buy any meat, they request more of broilers. noilers are usually preferred by suya sellers. but if the noilers is OK for you, then go for it.

if you are thinking of buying Lister generator, then you don't need 4 freezers(whattttt?). you need a cold room which will be more efficient and cheaper than 4 freezers, the cold room in my farm can still retain chicken for up to 48 hours before thawing.

as for your source of electricity, you need to be wise because it may drain your whole profit(at this point you need a feasibility study). but if your business location has regular power supply, then you are good to go.

finally you don't need cold room before you can start. you can start supplying based on request by whole sellers. if you are raising the birds yourself, then raise them in batches of 200 to 300 birds with spacing of 2 to 3 weeks between the batches. this is to enable you control your distribution and profit from each batch. raising a large number may result in spoilage if you don't sell them within the stipulated time.

there are so many businesses out there, you have to know which one you have passion for. as for me going into manufacturing and food processing pays. you may be tempted to go into agriculture but you have to be guided by practising farmer rather than farm consultant (unless he is practising).
