My capturing is next week Thursday. And I went to the office today. The woman checked and I had a problem of date of birth, from my NIN.
I've read what others said about correction. So, I decided that I'm going to Alausa tomorrow for the correction and validation.
I went online. And I heard that you will pay 15K for the correction. Is that true?
And who did correction of NIN, how long did it take? I heard it takes 2 months before its corrected. Is that true?

You can use nin card to register for ielts. Go to nimc official website to download the app and follow the instructions. It's just 1k to download, then you print it from those that print plastic id card.

I had similar experience today. The guy doing the capturing asked if I wanted to go to NIN office to verify/update my information which was correct (I’m not sure of the word he used) or if I want him to help me. I agreed and he did whatever he did. I gave him 1k afterwards.

It is my believe that they are using NIN verification to discourage DIY applicants.

That's an eye opener. Then i guess i shouldn't worry so much, because am sure the details tally

I had similar issues.

This happened as a result of mismatch of information provided (the information provided does not tally with what is on your NIN, hence this.)

Solution:

i. I'm assuming the information on your NIN is the correct one. (If not, you'll have to go and update it from NIMC office)

ii. You go back to the capture office to correct it.(this takes time to reflect though,. Especially if you're DIY)

My capturing is early next month
I guess i will just wait till then for it to be fixed

You can pay online for the premium NIn slip which cost 1000 naira and then proceed to print it on a plastic card, it's acceptable.
