I have a toddler and a baby on the way with no help. My toddler is in a creche close to the house and the creche owner is really flexible with time. I just make sure to pack an extra feed for her each day cos you never can tell with Lagos traffic. I get so uncomfortable in traffic and my baby is the same way. I can always come down from the bus and take bike but with a baby, its a no no. If you and your hubby's route are the same, you may put your baby in a creche close to your office, otherwise just find one close to home so baby does not go through the stress f traffic and all.
Thanks alot, I appreciate.

Welcome to my world!
Just like hunnysuzzie said your best bet is getting a creche closer to the office so you all can leave together in the morning and come back home together, that way you have peace of mind when you are stucked in traffic. That's what I do with my children presently despite the plenty advise we get from people that we should keep them around the house, last week Friday we got home 9:30pm but we were all together so no cause to jumping bike all and down.

Or if you think it will be too stressful you can get a trusted nanny to stay with them till you return from work.

Sorry for the epistle.
Thanks alot.. I really appreciate.

I don't have more than one child but you may want to consider a daycare/school closer to your office in the interim

Liftedhands:
it's been a while o! How's you and dd? Use pure honey as her body cream it will fade the spots overtime. Sadly there's nothing safe to use on an infant that I know of! Unless you want to leave it till she's a teenager to start using toning and spot remover gels.

Bio oil is good for spots too but it's advised to use on children from 2yearz up wards.

Honey will take time but it's by far the safest plus your DDS skin will be luscious and glittering.
Thanks dear

My dear, I can bear wt u in d aspect of introducin solids after ebf. I wunt tel u its an easy ride but u ll have to wear patients like cloth.
My lo acepted pap wit cow and gate formular at 1st feed, I was hapy. Only to try feedin him d next day, he rejected it abruptly. He refused it n even throw up Wen I tried to force him. I changed d formula to nan1, he took it witout throwin up, n started takin d pap wth nan1, Though nt always. Somtimes I ll have to force him aswel. This has been my feedin routine with him for now.
So keep tryin diferent food wt methods and see d 1 dat he wil accept.

You need to make up your mind whether you're ready to add solids to her diet now or not. If you don't fully decide to you'll keep succumbing to offering bobby once she refuses cereal.

Typically babies will want to continue breast milk if they can. You can time her meals to three or four hours and offer cereal like your hubby has said. At least try it first then you know whether to increase or decrease the hours in between feeds. Offer her adult foods too I.e noodles, mashed potatoes, amala etc . She may prefer that to cereal. Babies can be unpredictable like that..

Hope this helps. That force feeding usually doesn't help meal times will be stressful for you both. Creatively find a way to make it appealing. Let the food be the right temperature, place her in a high chair or plastic chair and table.... Pack up the food after thirty minutes whether or not she finishes the meal. Cut off snacks for now ie biscuits and so on.

Hope this helps sha
Ok... Thank you. I appreciate

Please I'm trying to introduce solid to my baby. She doesn't want to take anything apart from bbreast milk because we did exclusive. My hubby suggests I starved her for 4 hrs then offer her cereals or any other food. I'm always with her... Just 2 of us in the house. I don't have the mind to ignore her for hours without feeding her. Please is it right to starve her of breast milk for 4 hrs?
Secondly.. I force her to eat...she will be crying and pushing spoon away.. I will still hold her tight and force the food in. Please is this right?
Kindly tell me the right thing to do. And how often to feed her . I'm a first-time mum and She's 6months. Thank you
