I have been wondering about the mental capacity of people who gather with a common interest to support an artist or a celebrity. "we fans of so so and so"

I remember my ex girlfriend who belongs to a whatsapp group of fans of Cici of BIGBROTHER. They contributed money to buy her gifts. They contributed 5k each in that whatsapp group. She disturbed my life before I gave her the 5k. They even designed tshirt. They all wore the Tshirt when they went to present her the gift. The sight of it annoyed me and I felt embarrassed for them.

Many of them can't afford 3 square meal, and you will see them contributing money to buy gift for a bigbrother housemate who is about winning endorsement or upgraded olosho work.
