My opinion:
It was reported that FG now as a roadmap for economy diversification, i dont want to sound like a zombie but i must tell you all papers or proposed plan for any developmental project must be careful checked before implementation purposely for the reason of a fallback plan..The world economy is also drifting following the crude oil price crash.What is the country purchasing power interms of naira value compare to dollar in procurement of machineries to make the diversification a smooth process.Though huge sums have been looted but i also hate having to come up with such excuse as the sole responsibilty of any leader is to takecare of the masses and the moment that is not achieved then it zero. When there was a boom we fail to make the best use of it now naira exchange for a huge dollar as an ordinary person you will be careful to make procurement but concentrate more on revenue generation which is not even forth coming. So technically we are stucked in the middle, the only life support we are sitting on is the oil from niger delta.So i see this as the best time to quickly sanitise the whole process do some rigous house cleaning that will make us open a path way for development.restructuring they call it but i see it more as a sanitation excercise where everything become so transparent for people to see, but it a pity much is still being covered up like all is well ( the FG as to incresase it pace on getting all this done before ) then nigeria can begin to believe in a sytem that works. #myopinion

This is a time for Governor's to be creative. They need to brainstorm on ways to generate money for their states as a lot of investors are out there; seeking an enabling environment to invest in.

This is not time to be eating amala all over the state or setting people up.

Do they have brain, ekiti and agriculture isnt a joke if the governor knw how to woo investors rather than just doing wasting money. Nigeria needs diversification. Who would have come up with the best way to attract FG to use his state as the heart of investment in agriculture rather than eating roadside made groundnut and plantain. Reccession is here we should start acting fast to get out.

we as Nigerians are very good in analysis but we most times fail to analyse the way out. To most of us reccession is just an english word by the time we get it by what exactly it means because to me this is just a flashing even the so call politician will have to bring out all they have swallow in the name of corruption. Inflation is on the increase yet senators salary and allowances have yet been deducted or reduced. Then no Nigerian as stand up to ask what exactly the legislatives are doing to help the situation. I just hope we run for a cushion effect before things get worst. Emiefele is crying out loud now but the noise couldnt let masses hear him, by the time things get out of control which I pray it doesnt get to that, seriously ask Greece despite its perfect system, was unable to hold on.

Dear Nairalanders, pls your urgent advice is needed as we have 48 hrs ultimatum. A friend of mine travelled to Dubai two months ago with the aim that d place will be a better place for him bt on getting there, the opposite was met. He went there through an agent in Nigeria here who has a partner in d UAE. He applied for working visa which he was given two years by a company there. The problem started when he got the visa and occupation written on it is "Ordinary Labourer" as he applied for welding work, but the agent told him that, that is UAE style since he is going there as a technician. On getting there, he was welcomed by the company and he started work the third day as a labourer, real one. With this, he was given some documents which have been signed on his behalf, he was surprised as the documents contains employee -employer agreement. He called the agents both the one in Nigeria and UAE immediately what he saw, but the agents said he should be enduring.

To cut the story short, the work is a typical slavery work, though he is collecting about 65K/month as wage, when converted to naira. Now the problem is that other documents he needed to sign, he refused because of those conditions and since then, the agents have been begging him to sign. Also, there was a need for him to do medicals, he also refused and fortunately for him, he met one of the directors in the company and explain things to him bt the man answered him to write cancellation letter so that he can be sent back to Nigeria. But he did not want to waste almost 500k he paid this agent.


Now a Nigerian he met there directed him to go to the labour complaint office in Dubai, which he did and he got this reply from d labour office today "A complaint application number (MB165125948AE ) has been made on company number (488063 ) from employee (CHARLES UGO ) having work permit number ( 65600814), we hope that both of you would mutually discuss on this complaints during next 48 working hours before it gets registered on the company." Now the problem, this message has been forwarded to the company, the company has forwarded it to the agent in Dubai and the agent now called him and said he has made a great mistake by reporting that he may be deported and banned for one year from entering UAE.

Pls Nairalanders, 48hrs has started about 4hrs ago, the company may call on him in d next 4/5 hrs, what should he do? Is it true that he may be deported based on this?? Pls your sincere advice is needed. c

I don't have any interpretation, for now, my point is one cannot just say the prophet saw them coming from a party then the party was approved. what a party mean in the U.S is not the way they throw a party in Scotland or west Nigeria. One will want to know how exactly the party was organised in the Arabian peninsula at that time, what are the stand of the prophet to musical instruments, at what stage was prophethood at that time and more. Hijab using does not start exactly the same time the prophet became a prophet and so many sunnah. so there is a need for a scholar to give the best explanation of any hadith and Quran verses. Look one of the world problems today is an interpretation of Islamic scripture which are not left for those that have the knowledge. somebody will pick up the Quran and read kill them all infidels and the next thing is that he his fighting jihad. contextual meaning and the stories behind every verse is very important to fully understand the message.I don't know your level of Islamic education as mine is very small butIi believe a knowledgeable person will come up with more than one hadith which we don't even know if its daif or sahih. We are all learning and this goes on as we continue to live so please I will take the time to find out more. you should do the same too.
