aguiyi:Before you rush to spend money at Benz Affairs, you may be suffering from uleaded fuel issues.This cars are supposed to be driven on premium fuel...I had similar issues, AU Hanson adviced me to consistently use xft in absence of premium fuel. I did that , like magic the whole issues went off, since then no such issues came up again thereafter as i have been consistent using xft at every refilling. You need to read his article on the unleaded fuel thing, a common sickness of benz and most sport cars. tommysparks:Chose not to believe anybody nor any write up online/offline. Stop using the product for some few days like a week or so. Calculate your your mpg in normal driving along the same route for like 3 times, calculate in an aggressive driving within the same route too and keep your readings, while observing your car plugs throttle body, exhaust fumes and the sound of your engine. Then start using the xft ,with double dose for the first 2 usage, do your mpg calculation too as in above case but in normal driving and agressive driving. Pick your readings and compare with the former without xft. Come back and give us your testimony. Some people hardly can notice anything like 35% increment in fuel economy , so to them it doesn't work, it's scam. Some hardly, or are too lazy to try out nor believe any positive innovation in life, their mindset is already programmed to resist any change, so they always want confirmation. Some have their a mindset tuned to, "if its not like this ,it doesn't work, no matter what". Some have flexible mindset, they are open to innovations and shared with any who cares to listen..Funny enough they always stumble into innovations because they are very receptive in nature and like trying out things with open mind and are always recording huge success, and also knows how to avoid the bad ones too. I heard about this xft from AU. Hanson and decided to give it a shot, It works, if you are observant and follow the instructions, it cleans your emission system and prolong your engine lifespan as well as sounding your engine like new in continuous usage. I had wanted to just read through as usual but could not bear the fragrance of ignorance that has been flying about at an astute accomplishment of a well define project that could be called a success story. a prophet has no respect in his home. Did you guys actually read through the lines what the op wrote, or is it just convenient for you to just flip through and luk for what mr 'a' says and just follow sooth to conclude? The op just stated a successful adventure for those who cares to benefit from, and you guys started chanting. If you read through the lines you would have seen his reasons for the materials used: the weight factor to speed ratio, you would have seen air to fuel combustion factor, and the ecu factor . Or is it today you start knowing that bigger wheels do gains? or that there are performance tires? For goodness sake, he explained vividly the very essence of this project even the involvement of oxygen sensors. So what is so ridiculous about that? Is there no practical auto expert in the house who has been adventurous enough to clear this air of some jokers? Where is Siena? I just got my solution to a project i'm handling at hand with one of my rides, and would have asked him a guide here to benefit all, but i have changed my mind because you guys don't deserve him. You need to check your tuning , i mean your engine tuning and also your plugs and current for leakages anywhere. Also if your engine compression is low as a reult of dirt, carbon build up,it wouldnt stand it that has to do with your cylinder heads and injection system- That i learn from AU. smartchoice: After installation temprature quite high because (I suspect) the mechanic did not adequately bleed the coolant system resulting in trapped bubbles. Movement is sharp cos I also just replaced the back suspension system in its entirety.Smartchoice , i must confess i'm really impressed by the information about the engine cost and so on you open up here. Many would not conceal such. I am really astonished by the price. I dont really know how you guys make this magic happen, it really confirms what 'AU. Hanson' told me for those of you who have the eyes like you. However, if i may ask, just curious, what is the temp. reading of the behr thermostat you remove from the follow come engine? Also, under your hood, what is the stamped temp range for your car? Reason for asking this is that, in my long elaborate private discussion with A. U. Hanson on phone, tho he is very busy at the moment {writing programmes and some serious IT deadlines delivery.. very skillful dude} He said that some of those engine for that model comes with 71 degrees thermostat, factory built, and that the allowable temperature range of those cars can been seen on the frame under the hood at the engine bay, but he wouldn't like to publish it on nairaland to avoid any contradiction with the fact of 87 degrees temp already understood overtime. He also went a step further to enlighten me on the whaler thermostat thing and other spare parts in our local market, the information that has been lacking ever since, he said that those thermostat is not coming from America as popularly believed , but from china stamped whaler, a house hold name just to get marketed by the distributors, that no American themostat would go for 1000, 2000 naira in the market, because they cost in labour into production as against the Chinese that only produces the cost of technology as labour is very cheap overthere...Infact, i was convince by the logical explanation behind our importers going to China to imitate such product to cheapen the cost of these product to make it available at affordable price in our local market, hence no worries about high precision built for failure technically. If i doubt him, i should try importing whaler from the USA, then i will be astonished at the cost. He also mention that the ownership of Benz abroad is quite different from what is obtainable here locally, because of this factor, and our patronage to the after market, what is popularly called the Belgium market-that this help bring down the cost of spare by more than 100 percent for Nigerians- that this is not the kind of information he should like to divulge here for integrity sake and industry standard sake. That those who knows it key into it for their benefit- that is why you could buy a full engine at such a cheap amount of 40k same amount wouldn't buy a water pump in my w203 Benz here in Miami ziccoit: I need Behr thermostat including the automatic A/C heater control unit compatible with W202 1997 C230. Hanson , He actually confesses that its his benz 190 that has installed whaler brand thermostat for over 2 years now, that he is waiting to see when it will fail, but his c class whaler thermostat was actually installed early this year , the mixup that caused him so much embarrassment and misunderstanding in MB thread-that he is sure that those items aint coming from USA- you need to talk with this guy if he weren't busy then you would be so much informed. au.hanson:Hello guys, I want to really appreciate the effort of one of you who went and fix my my c180 MB on Sunday free of charge, despite his busy Schedule. I didn't know Nigeria still have people like this. Thankyou very much bro. I am so honored to appreciate him openly in this forum and to state what he did for your information. How i wish he would come out to narrate the steps taken by him to solve such problem for me , because he has been so wonderful according to my mum: He was able to diagnose the car down to the level of low resistance wires around and via the ignition coils. Infact,despite the fact that the car ECU could not link to his diagnostic tool, he absolutely tested the wires and rewire them back, the main culprit .The car had a multiple problem. He went a step further and replace the keys,as the key was also burnt.He replace the Bendix at the spot as well as even detected another unnoticeable fault with cylinder 2 valve. He actually did a compression test and found out that cylinder 2 was shutdown, according to him probably, because of the misfire, the ecu detected and shutdown that cylinder to avoid damage to it. the valves are really having issues hence will need a rework. Now to crown it all the vehicle was restarted by him and my mum is using it again. She confesses that the car performances is better than before. Although he caution that the valve issue in the cylinder 2 should be tackle sometime soon by a good mechanic, that he could even do it for me if he is chance again by the upper week, but that he can only do that in his place, of which i am very comfortable with. This guy is a human MB manual. He went on to explain that it is a big task to remove the cylinder head and replace or rework the valves, seats etc as appropriate by some engineering workshop. How i wish he will come up to speak for himself and detail his approach for our knowledge. Thanks Hanson. the car will be brought to you only at your convenience for the remaining task. Please house, permit my unusual approach, all protocol observe. I have a benz c180 94 model far back home in Nigeria, to be precise in PH with my mum, just yesterday she told me that the car entered a limb mode while she was driving. She narrated that she entered one unusual road that was so terrible, in some instances she had to put off the ac as the car would attempt to enter a limb mode under hard maneuvering, then at a point she couldnt bear the heat and dust than to just keep the ac life throughout the rough terrain , but unfortunately the car finally entered a limb mode and nothing she did could revive the vehicle, it had to be finally towed back home after having run down the battery and affected the kick badly. Initially the car would crank but remains very powerless, could not accelerate when engaged the gear, now it cant even remain in idling anymore Someone is coming to install a new key and bendit, and i have caution her not to stress the new kick untill i come home at christmas hols if solution could not be offered. House please help:Your input and wonderful expertrate is welcome here. Thanks in advance. Also,according to her initially before this incidence, the engine use to have a little noticeable shaking when first crank in the morning as though the engine sitting were bad or the water pump, where you have the hydrualic fan was making some unusual sound as in rattling. |
