Afro-pop act Rontown has been sued by his record label Ericmanny. The news reaches us with a press statement from the label with shots of an injunction issued by a Federal High Court,see them below!
“A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has slammed an
injunction against the rising musical artiste Douglas Jack-Agu aka “Runtown”. The injunction prevents him from performing at any event or any form of recording for the time being unless with the approval of Ericmany Limited.
Runtown is signed under the Ericmany Entertainment label that presently holds the copyright to all his music. He was sued in the Federal High Court by Ericmany on allegations that he signs up, concludes and attends musical shows without the knowledge of the label.
Ericmany Entertainment was said to have invested millions of naira on Runtown. However trouble started when Runtown apparently with the connivance of Bug Media ran by one Bugwu Aneto began to sideline Ericmany and collected money
directly for shows without the knowledge of Ericmany. Bug Media is also a party to the court case.
In another twist of events, the management of Ericmany has sacked the said Bugwu Aneto as General Manager of the company for infractions which might not be unconnected with his alleged connivance with Runtown to shortchange the Label
Ericamany.
Our reporter learnt that all inquiries about the artiste and bookings for shows would no longer be through Aneto but through the management of Ericmany.
It is not clear how the young artiste is reacting to the court case and injunction. Observers suggest he was misled by Bugwu, the former General Manager of Ericmany to ditch his boss and benefactor Ericmany, and may now that the chips are down find ways to go back and reconcile with the Ericmany.

NANS INITIAL REACTION ON THE RENAMING OF HIGHER INSTITUTIONS BY OSUN STATE GOVERNMENT.

We received the news of the renaming of Osun State owned tertiary institutions with rude shock. Gov. Aregbesola announced the renaming at the uniosun convocation ceremony today.

The new names are as follows:
1. Iree Poly now S.M. Afolabi
2. Ila now Adeyemi Oyeduntan College.
3. Ilesha now Lanre Omole.
4.Esa-oke now Bisi Akande.
5. Uniosun now Bola Ige University with the colleges as follow:
a. Okuku now Olagunsoye Oyinlola.
b. Ejigbo now Isiaka Adeleke
c. Ikire now Eniola Atanda.
d. Ifetedo now Kayode Esho.
e. Ipetu now Hezekiah Oluwasanmi.

The decision to rename the schools without an iota of consultation is totally undemocratic and a departure from all norms of progress and societal tranquillity. The students, staff, management and host communities are relevant stakeholders that ought to have been carried along.
It is even more appalling that Gov. Aregbesola did not deem it fit to get the approval of the state house of assembly before the unwarranted name changing. We begin to wonder if this is a democracy. We wish to warn that this singular undemocratic decision is capable of sabotaging the peace of the state if not properly managed.

The timing of this renaming equally calls for questions. In a time when the state is grappling with multifaceted problems without any clear cut way out, do the people of Osun need this unnecessary distraction now? Wont it be better to allow the controversy surrounding the school restructuring programme laid to rest before swimming in another water of controversy?

Our Demands:

1. We totally reject the renaming and call for its immediate reversal
2. We call on the state house of assembly to rise up in defence of democracy by rejecting this abnormality.
3. We shall begin mobilisation in preparation for total showdown with the government if the proper thing is not done and in time.

NYSC online registration for prospective corp members BATCH B 2015 starts today.kindly take note of these requirments before visiting a registered cafe. REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS.
1. Only students whose names are uploaded successfully on the Senate list on the Nysc portal are to register.

2. Registration starts 8th Sept - 9th October 2015.

3. Online Printing of Call-Up letters starts October 21-27th.

4. NYSC Registration scratch card~ N1500.

5. Registration sites~ www.nysc.gov.ng,www.nysc.org.ng, www.portal.nysc.gov.ng

6. Registration should be done only in NYSC accredited business centres~ BE CAREFUL!

7. Valid and functional e-mail address, Nigeria (GSM) telephone number, Correct Jamb reg number, Correct matriculation number. And other requirements like home address, Date of birth, Full names etc.

8. 1passport photograph.(For registration) but you can snap as many for use at Camp ground.

9. Your passport should meet the following specifications~ Your Eye, Ear, Nose, Mouth and Jaw should fully show without bending. Ensure the picture is centralised and fill the frame. Ensure the photo background is WHITE or OFF-WHITE with no shadow.

10. N3000 is for those who want their Call-Up number sent to them via sms and wish to print their Call-Up letters online.

11. Ensure your Finger print Biometric is Rightly Captured.
