We know a rubber stamp never ever fails.

This is why Buhari's 2nd term will be disastrous for Nigeria because the 9th NASS loyalty is to Buhari as a person and NOT Nigeria as a Country.

PT asking or doubting if PMB is aware is ridiculous. Muktar and PMB were among the kitchen cabinet of Abacha.

And remember that Abacha "did not steal" and of course this administration is an extension of 'Saint' Abacha regime and they share one philosophy - INTEGRITY.

Appropriate what? In Nigeria? Authority?

Sorry, imagine one of the Directors from PHED telling the committee members that any community that is not satisfied the way the light comes should drop the lines down, but so long as it is connected to the grid, they must pay.

Nigeria is such a funny place.

Don't just waste your money. Use it to buy fuel even if 1 litre.

As I am typing now since on the 11th of August they collected money, no light.

I pity those who will start praise and worship because El-Rufai or any other governor has budgeted money for scholarship or capital project.

If you are opportuned to see the appraisal of the performance of the annual budget, you will shed tears for this country.

Every component of the budget that deals will political office spending or recurrent expnditures will be funded to at least 85% but on the remark column of capital expenditure you'll see "Lack of Fund".

I sometimes felt bad when news of this nature rent the air and sometimes felt the victims of fraud are guilty themselves.

Even though we are going digital or online, why would we not apply caution when transacting?

In fact being an intelligence company they should blame themselves if someone plays fast on them.

Unilorin professor discovers anti-cancer, anti-TB drugs, seeks commercialization
Dapo Olufade by Dapo Olufade August 23, 2019 in News, News Update

Professor Joshua Obaleye of the Department of Chemistry, University of Ilorin has announced the discovery of anti-malaria, anti-cancer and anti-tuberculosis drugs by a team led by him.

He said the drugs can be mass-produced to save lives.

Obaleye told newsmen in Ilorin that the team had tested numerous world-class metal compounds from his laboratory for the treatment of various diseases.

According to him, studies show that when a metal is attached with a pharmaceutical, it increases the efficacy of the drug.

But the don, who is also the President, America Chemical Society, Nigeria Chapter, and Chairman, Nigeria Chemical Society, Kwara State Chapter, said he lacked funds to commercialize the drugs.

According to the professor, he has also produced anti-inflammatory drugs and vitamins.

He said:“We need to commercialize all these drugs and invite the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control and other regulatory bodies to come over to examine what we have produced to confirm if what we say we have is what we have.

“When they investigate us and find out what we say is authentic, maybe they will be happy to help us.

“We have produced metal anti-tuberculosis, metal anti-malaria, metal antibiotics and many more. We have produced a lot of them in this lab.

“Most of these drugs we have produced in our lab have other applications; even structural studies of them is enough. We can even use them as raw materials for other drugs.”

Obaleye called for effective collaboration among researchers in
the same discipline as well as interdisciplinary collaboration in order to come out with
world-class discoveries.

He said that collaboration had given him great opportunities to come up with groundbreaking researches.

“We are making a lot of achievements, we have many collaborators from India, we have collaborators in Malaysia, Japan and so many other countries.

“We work with people we know are experts in those areas; if you don’t collaborate, you just be a local champion without any progress,” he said.

The governor is being challenged by over a dozen contenders who are angling to clinch the party's ticket ahead of the November 16 governorship election in the state.
