oyaskii:Only thing I console myself with on showmax is that it has HBomax's full library so it's just like I'm subbing for Hbomax...and the normal PL and La Liga matches. I don't want to buy that DStv dish tbh. I prefer streaming. |
Achilles100:Let me check that footybite. None of them are working bro...808 is still better |
abduleez1:I know about this one but it's too unstable, you'd have full 4g and it'll still be buffering like there is no data and all of a sudden it skips and it's not in HD, it's soo grainy on my TV and I hate it. The ads are also worrisome but I'd be happy to overlook ads if atleast the quality of what I'm watching was good. Showmax na frauds, I saw their adverts that's why I subbed for their full version, they advertised WWE and UCL matches but na only Europa dem dey show. Bastards. |
abduleez1:YouTube TV has all of them oh and even streaming channels like hbomax and paramount+, I think Hulu too. It's just like cable TV but with more range, but the price no be here. I have showmax but to my suprise they don't broadcast UCL matches and that's 6300 down the drain tbh, I also realised they don't show WWE either, I get showmax but I still dey download WWE episodes. Na why I dey find alternative. A modded YouTube TV would have been the best sha but if there is another one abeg tell me. |
CoolUsername:it's a circus out there Poor ref training probably from management. Even football gets it right. |
oyaskii:I just wanted it cos of its diverse sports channels that show live matches especially now that the UCL is on. ESPN, TNT sports and the likes. |
Oyaskii howfar? Please do you have a YouTube TV modded version that works? Wanted to sub for the original one and they are charging me almost 50k per month. |
Bellingham send your Aza make I credit you small thing you toomuch |
I just dey dirty my eyes with this match Bastard coach |
Devvy4:Brahim is on the Bench Valverde is there too |
A better coach would have been winning 3-0 by now |
Same line up and formation from Sunday except Carvajal, Fran Garcia, Kroos and Valverde. Since Joselu is available he could have gone with a 433 atleast. |
WWE NXT REVIEWS RECAPS AND REACTIONS How About Some Hardcore Let’s not bury the lede: We’re getting the rematch between Becky Lynch and Tiffany Stratton at No Mercy. And if you read the title to this recap, you know it’s not just any match. Let’s rewind to this week’s tippy top-no pun intended. Becky opened the show triumphantly and did a little rhyme shouting out the women’s division. Props for stringing all that together but a she needed a bit more rhythm at the end to truly make it sing. But points for cleverness and creativity. She also shouted out Tiffany for giving it all she had and said she gets a rematch any time and any place. Tiffany, never one to let her name go mentioned without showing up, did just that. No Mercy is the place because she wants her rematch on the biggest stage. This is where I interject and mention the fact that Tiffany can’t hang on the mic with Becky and they do her no favors putting her in that position. Becky even commented on it before throwing the first punch. I never think any wrestler commenting on the fact another wrestler can’t match them on the microphone particularly helps, unless of course it’s the heel being a jerk and going against reality. But when it’s the face saying what I’m thinking as a fan, I cringe, if only a little. But I digress. Kiana James showed up to the fight. She and Tiffany beat up Becky and the Man challenged them to a two-on-one match in the main event. I liked Roxanne Perez volunteering her services as Becky’s partner after she took a beating during her match. It showed her fortitude, newly found fire, and her respect for Becky. It also gave Becky a chance to show her love for Roxanne as well. And, of course, it established Becky’s got more guts than brains because wrestling two women after going one-on-one with Natalya 24 hours ago sounds silly. Especially when one of those women is the former champ who just took Becky to her limit last week. It also set someone up for a rub because there’s no way Becky comes to NXT without squeezing some of her limelight onto another woman. Enter Lyra Valkyria. These two have history and it made sense that Lyra came to her side. Especially since Tiffany and Kiana aren’t on her Christmas card list. I like Becky and Lyra together. They look like an actual team an move like one. Their gear even meshed together. Kiana & Tiffany did the usual heel things but I paid more attention to Lyra here. This is a huge spot for her coming after the other huge spot with Rhea Ripley a few weeks ago. She met the moment with crispness and never looked lost. Working with Rhea before and Becky now makes her better. That theme continued when Lyra got the pin and W for her team after Becky tagged her in to finish the job once she hit the Manhandle Slam on Kiana. As the two celebrated, Tiffany went off with a steel chair. She went Aaron Judge on both women and left the champ crawling on her knees towards the ropes. That’s when Becky called for a microphone and bellowed that their rematch is now an Extreme Rules match. This is another huge match for Tiffany, regardless of the outcome. I hope she acquits herself as well as she did in their first one-on-one. B-Sides Stay Schemin’ Walk with me a for a bit because there’s a lot happening with Carmelo Hayes vs. Dirty Dom. For a few weeks, NXT danced around Melo and Trick Williams getting into a thing. This week, they telegraphed it with a bullhorn. First, Dom got into Trick;s head with his usual tricks. The best moment from that segment came when Trick noted he’s in nobody’s shadow because he “can’t fit in no shadow.” Great line and I want it on a t-shirt not now but right now. What’s left of Schism invited Trick into their fold. He declined because duh, but their words about his bond with Melo stuck in his head. Now, if I’m writing it, Melo vs. Trick is Melo’s NXT swan song. Nothing finishes his story better than passing the torch to his best friend on his way out and battling with the guy who gave Melo his swag back after winning the NXT Breakout tourney. But Trick isn’t ready for the belt yet so I prefer we do that down the line. And that brings us back to Melo vs. Dom. Once again, Dom flexes his improvement. Melo did what Melo does so we got a solid match. Solid because the match had bigger goals in mind than a one-on-one between two champs. With Ilja Dragunov ringside for commentary, Dom found a way to get under Ilja’s skin and pick up a DQ win over the NXT champion. He planned it that way so he’ll surely crow about it once he’s done with Dragon Lee. Speaking of Mr. Lee, he kicked Dom’s teeth down his throat afterward, foreshadowing their match next Monday. But before that, Dom pulled Melo in front of Ilja’s rage and the challenger accidentally nailed the champ with a Torpedo Moscow. And the segment ended with the champ and the challenger jawing at each other with promises of future ass beatings. And that takes me back to Trick. With him feeling insecure about his friendship with Melo, I see him showing up at No Mercy and possibly costing Melo the title. I don’t want that, I don’t need that, but I foresee shenanigans that don’t bode well for the true A champion. A Better Tomorrow Here’s what I really dug about this match between Tyler Bate and Butch: they truly made it an even battle. Last week, both men talked about how well they knew each other and we know their shared history. When presenting the match on that level, the results should backup that talk. They battled until the actual last minute with neither man gaining an advantage. They reversed one another’s finishers and also used them. Not until Butch hit the Better End did everything fall into place the Brawlin’ Brute. Everything about this match worked and felt logical. That also puts Butch as the Group A winner, which comes as a very pleasant surprise. Extra points for Meta Four kicking back in their lounge while doing Matrix cosplay. I don’t know about you, but Noam Dar is forever “Neo Dar” now. As for Duke Hudson vs. Joe Coffey? As predicted, Duke defeated Joe and gave us a three-way tie in Group A. The match went quicker than a hiccup too. Quick finish leading to a three-way tie with all three men in the building. So you know what that means.... Three Triple threats are always wild and this one fit the bill. Mostly because of clashing styles. Duke and Joe are similar but Nathan Frazer presents a very different element. The big news out of the fun match? Joe Coffey got the W. I wanted that from jump and I’m giddy. Joe vs. Butch screams “violence” and I can’t wait. Even the way he won this match just feels different for the Heritage Cup. He let Nathan do the heavy lifting on Duke, threw him out of the ring, and then hit his finisher on Duke for good measure. Beautiful. Quiet Storm Lola Vice impressed me. She seamlessly integrated her MMA background into her wrestling work and held her own against a former champ in Roxanne. That’s no easy thing and yet she made it look effortless. Lola has a personality too, so with more time in the ring and more exposure on the mic, NXT may have a new competitor in the ranks. Shawn Michaels and co. clearly feel that way too. They booked the match where Roxanne barely survived a match that Lola controlled. Lola caught the former champ off guard and she nearly took an L for sleeping on her competition. A win is a win but we’ll see if this has any future consequences. This was a fun Tuesday. Everything moved quickly, not a single meh match in the bunch, and we moved all stories forward. Eddy Thorpe challenged Dijak to a strap match, Thea Hail continues her move into adulthood with lots of shopping, and Von Wagner’s status remains unchanged (not good). The tag team scene took a mini backseat this week but for good reason. Now we move forward to the last NXT of the month. Whew, already? |
Good news:- Vinicius and Arda would be returning to training with the squad next week |

WWE RAW REVIEWS RECAPS AND REACTIONS Cody Rhodes really wanted to start talking about Jey Uso, but once again, for the second week in a row, he was interrupted by The Judgment Day. In this case, that damn Dirty Dominik Mysterio. He claimed he would dedicate his win over Cody to Rhea Ripley, who is out injured. Rhodes took a new angle of attack — he dropped a seed into Dom’s head that Ripley clearly isn’t into him the way he’s into her. In fact, she seems to be far more into Jey Uso. Intrigue! Dom brushed it off fairly quickly, saying The Judgment Day is family. Right on cue, Finn Balor and Damian Priest hit the scene to join him in a show of support. Still, I’m kind of surprised there hasn’t been another babyface to take this particular point of attack against him. The fans absolutely ate it up. They had their match right after, and, to my surprise, Cody just straight up beat him down. It wasn’t quite a squash match but it wasn’t all that far away from one. This came after they showed Dragon Lee in the crowd and revealed he’ll be back on raw next week to challenge Mysterio for the North American championship. I guess the idea is he’s vulnerable? Then, in a surprise, Kevin Owens, who had come out with Sami Zayn to help fend off a post-match Judgment Day attack, asked Rhodes to stick around for a chat. He brought up Rhodes being responsible for bringing Jey Uso to the red brand. He wanted to know why Cody thought it was a good idea to bring him to the locker room. The response: his job is to make people happy and the people really like Jey. He deserves another chance to show the world that he’s changed. Plus, The Bloodline is down a member this way! Then it was Sami’s turn to take up for Jey, asking Owens to give him a second chance in the same way he’s given his best friend a second chance. Look where that went. The main event of WrestleMania! Owens ultimately decided to go along with them, though he wouldn’t go so far as to say he trusts Jey now. His trust in Cody and Sami is enough to allow the space they were asking for, however. This story with Jey branching off this way, with all the parties involved, continues to be incredibly well told. And it would only get better. Later, Priest met up with Jey backstage and put on the full court press — he claimed the rest of The Judgment Day wants Jimmy but he wants Jey and came to campaign for as much. They can offer him the family he always wanted but never had while he was with The Bloodline. Jey didn’t respond. Instead, Priest told him to mull it over and get back to him by the end of the evening. Some time later, Jey and KO had a confrontation backstage. Owens outright said he thinks Jey is halfway in The Judgment Day while Jey wanted it settled. Zayn played the role of peacemaker. Then he made it clear tonight was all about Jey making his big decision. “So good luck with that.” Finally, it was main event time and Jey taking on Drew McIntyre, who wanted payback of his own for all the grief and pain he went through thanks to Jey and the rest of The Bloodline. Naturally, The Judgment Day hit the scene to assist Jey in their continued attempts to get him to join up. And then he fist bumped Priest. It looked like he may have made his decision. But then he superkicked Priest, and then did the same to Balor, and finally Dirty Dom. Decision made indeed. But McIntyre decided to take advantage anyway, and planted his ass with a Claymore to score the pinfall and the victory. He still needed his pound of flesh and he got it. The Judgment Day attacked post-match and McIntyre was left tortured over whether he should help or not. He ultimately elected not to do so. But Cody Rhodes did. And that’s how the show faded out. This was a big step forward for this story, and paves the way to Jey having a proper run as a babyface at or near the top of the card. Perhaps there will be more to the McIntyre issue. Becky Lynch won the NXT women’s championship less than one week ago, and that meant coming back to Monday Night Raw with some gold on her shoulder. She admitted she didn’t have winning that title on her bingo card this year but she had to take the chance she was given and make the most of it. And that’s what she did. She is now a Grand Slam champion, and that’s nice, but what she really wants is to defend that title and elevate it in a way it hasn’t ever been before. So she wants to start testing herself against the very best the future has to offer. But that’s the future. The present demanded an open challenge, so that’s what she wanted to do. Natalya answered the call, cutting a passionate promo about being dedicated for 15 years now and how Becky is a hypocrite for going to NXT and stepping in the front of the line to take the title for herself. She called Lynch a ginger witch, and got her title match. Of course, Lynch won that match via roll up. She’s got business to take care of in NXT this week, and she promised to be there. Nattie, meanwhile, was left disappointed in the ring and who knows where she goes from here. Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler just decided to join forces to become a tag team the other week. The women’s tag team division is such that this meant they got a non-title match against the champions, Chelsea Green & Piper Niven. That’s something I’m going to take every opportunity to talk about because WWE continues doing very little to address the issue. In the end, they didn’t even get to go to a finish for the match. That’s because Nia Jax showed up to put the boots to everybody, leaving all four women in the ring annihilated. “It’s open season,” she was heard saying as she walked up the ramp. “I’ll take out anyone I want. The women’s division is on notice.” Both Rhea Ripley and Raquel Rodriguez were given the week off to sell injuries from Jax from last week. They’ve given her one hell of a return story — a monster destroying everyone. The question is whether anyone is going to get invested in her like this. Me, I’m not really there. But it may be worth waiting and seeing on this one. All the rest -The New Day were supposed to work a 2-out-of-3 Falls match against The Viking Raiders but we learned Erik is not medically cleared. So instead, Kofi Kingston won a game of rock, paper, scissors with Xavier Woods to work a singles match against Ivar. It was a pretty damn good match, too, a physical back-and-forth that saw Kingston survive a lot of punishment from the big fella to score the pinfall victory off Trouble in Paradise following a sunset flip powerbomb. -Seth Rollins tried to attack Shinsuke Nakamura before the latter’s scheduled match against Ricochet, as he was good and pissed about everything Nakamura has been saying and doing the past few weeks. Officials, of course, held the world heavyweight champion back. The match went ahead and it was fine but ended with Ricochet electing to use a chair Nakamura was going to use on him and getting disqualified for it. Rollins came out to brawl after, and ended up in the trainer’s room. This is a really basic pro wrestling feud but I’m still quite enjoying it. -Chad Gable campaigned for another Intercontinental championship match and was told he impressed everyone with his performance against GUNTHER. Bronson Reed showed up to offer a challenge of his own and wouldn’t you know it, the big man was just too much for Gable to overcome. This is upsetting in the sense that I kind of really wanted Gable to get another shot at the title and maybe he be the guy to win it but if they aren’t going that direction, it makes some sense to make that clear by having him take a loss like this. -Tommaso Ciampa talked about making his own opportunities, and then he went out and submitted Giovanni Vinci. Ludwig Kaiser was none too happy about the defeat. The match was fine. GUNTHER was watching on a monitor backstage. Could it be that Ciampa is next in line? This wasn’t a bad show, but it wasn’t anything special either. It was very much one of those Triple H shows where a lot of story was being told but it couldn’t be all that thrilling because of it. WWE SMACKDOWN REVIEWS RECAPS AND REACTIONS There is no doubt about the fact that Roman Reigns is a star, and why he’s the number one guy in WWE and has been for many years now. I’m not here to question that. But I’ll be damned if there aren’t times we’re quickly reminded of what a true star looks like and Reigns isn’t quite that just yet. I’m talking, of course, about The Rock, who returned on Friday Night SmackDown this week to a thunderous pop in Denver. They absolutely blew the roof off the place, because of course they would, because that’s one of the biggest stars in the history of the industry. By the way, it was also a great reminder of why they really should put that match together sooner rather than later. Experiencing that response had me eager for the moment when Reigns’ theme would hit and he would come out talking about “acknowledge me.” A license to print money. Anyway, The Rock was a special surprise after we already got a great surprise in Pat McAfee coming down the road from where College Gameday is this week. He welcomed us to the show before Austin Theory came out to be the guy who would get clowned on by the stars everyone loves. They clowned him in a way that must have been incredible for those in attendance but was somewhat annoying for those of us watching at home. FOX had to repeatedly cut the audio because The Rock had the entire audience calling Theory an asshole. Hey, that’s showbiz, baby. Or something like that. Either way, even with the obnoxious muting, it was an incredibly fun opening segment. It also makes clear that Rock is willing to appear on WWE TV during the strike, contrary to prior rumored talk. Speaking of that, he ran into John Cena backstage. Thankfully, we aren’t getting Thrice in a Lifetime. They hugged it out. That was a good lead in to the main event segment of this show later in the night, with Cena appearing as the special guest on the latest episode of “The Grayson Waller Effect.” Waller, to his credit, got in a great reference to Deion Sanders, telling Cena that his mother taught him to take his hat off when he talks to grown ups. If you know, you know kind of thing. Waller went in on Cena not wanting to wrestle anymore, pointing how the fact that he returned and did a guest spot as a special referee instead of a match. Before Cena could protest, Jimmy Uso hit the scene. He talked a tough game, and once again, Cena could not respond before Solo Sikoa hit the scene. He got right in Cena’s face before turning to Jimmy, grabbing him up and making like he was going to lay him out. But it was a feint. Instead, he superkicked Cena and the duo went about putting the boots to him. That’s when AJ Styles ran in to make the save. It’s notable that Paul Heyman ordered Sikoa to save Jimmy when he found himself in trouble here. While on his trusty cell phone. Considering their earlier interaction, I was expecting another Rock appearance but if they aren’t actually going to do Rock vs. Reigns just yet, it’s probably better to hold off on it. Plus, Styles has already been involved and it only makes sense to keep that going. Your LA Knight segment of the week: It was yet another match with The Miz in a program that has been far better than you would expect considering Miz has won like one match in over a year. He’s built for exactly these kind of feuds, though, and his job the whole way has been to get Knight over and he’s done just that. He did it again here, giving Knight a solid match and putting him over clean after the Blunt Force Trauma. After, Knight grabbed a microphone because of course he had to do some talking. He made clear he’s coming after a title and it really doesn’t matter who it is that’s holding it. In his list of champions, he included Roman Reigns and that got one hell of a pop. What’s even more interesting is the fact that WWE cut backstage to show Solo Sikoa watching this and outright saying LA is becoming a problem. Heyman tossed some water on that, though, because he has to wait for Reigns to call and give the order first. And there are a lot of other issues to deal with, especially with all the names floating around. If nothing else, WWE wants it clear that Knight vs. Reigns is at least on the table. YEAH! All the rest -AJ Styles was defeated by Finn Balor thanks to interference from Jimmy Uso, who showed up just after the rest of The Judgment Day was thrown out. Commentary presented it like it was simply Jimmy getting back at AJ for what happened last week. The match wasn’t given as much time as you might expect, considering who was involved, but the Rock return segment ran long, so that may have had something to do with it. Later, Jimmy told Balor that was simply payback for last week and now they’re square. Then, Finn went into his pitch — how about Jimmy joins up with Judgment Day, just like they hope Jey will. The best thing about the group? They don’t have a leader. Jimmy was reluctant until Balor said that, and then he just looked uneasy but not entirely resistant to the idea anymore. -Santos Escobar took his opportunity to shoot his shot this week, telling Rey Mysterio that his dream has always been to challenge Mysterio for a championship. He has nothing but love and respect for him but he wants an opportunity. Mysterio made like he was going to get upset about it before accepting. We’ve been talking about this being where they were likely headed and they’re doing it the right way. -And then The Suit Profits showed up to make fun of the LWO while Bobby Lashley — who got loud “Bob-by” chants — made clear they are indeed coming to fill the power vacuum. It led to Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde challenging Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford to a tag team match. That match was a glorified squash, making clear the LWO is not to be taken seriously as a group outside of its top two members but The Suit Profits absolutely are. The Profits left the entire group laid out and the fans still haven’t caught on that they are, in fact, that bad guys. Whatever works. -Pretty Deadly were fantastic in their brief appearance here, as Adam Pearce met with them to say medical brings word they’ll be back soon. Elton Prince, in particular, was hilarious playing up his injury before Kit Wilson hyped him up for his return. That was the gist of the segment, that they’ll be back in action soon enough. -They kept calling Asuka vs. Bayley the “main event” even though it wasn’t the last segment of the show. One of those WWE things that annoys more than it should. Dakota Kai tried to get Bayley focused for the match beforehand but it didn’t matter — she was once again distracted by Shotzi, who came out of the crowd to help assist in the win. A tentative fist bump with Asuka followed after Damage CTRL bailed to the back. This was a great show. Tons of fun. Grade: A- |
