Good news guys, my PPR just came in at 7:46am this morning. It can only be God, I am still in shock. My story is a special one, my Bachelors is Law, I have an LLB, BL (Law School), and Masters in International Business, but I applied for Diploma, not even Post Graduate Diploma, but Diploma in Digital Business Management. I wasn't even aware of this forum when I applied in September, I just followed a YouTuber (Noel Abingwa) and learnt the steps and documents to apply for my visa through one of his Video. I contacted him and he was kind enough to share his statement of purpose/ letter of explanation with me. As I started getting anxious, I decided to join this forum 30th December and it was so encouraging because I kept getting alot of support, more especially from @Makano.

IRCC records confirm that your application was received on September 6, 2021, and is being processed at the Canadian visa office in Nairobi. Criminality checks and medical examination results are passed, however, further review is required before an eligibility decision is made. This means that the case is no longer straightforward and will, in most situations, lead to additional delays in processing. Once a decision has been made, officers will be in a position to determine next steps in processing

Thank you for answering my questions, more especially in the past two days after the message I got below from the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship's office on the 18th of January 2022.

@Makano encouraged me that "If truly you are truthful with your application and you didn't hide any information from them, then expect a positive decision from them"

My application took a total of 168 days , 5months, 15 days.

I’m grateful to those I reached out to that helped me on this platform, someone that specifically guided me with “keeping my answers simple and straight” another that saved me last minute with my employment status & ds-form little that I know It had a big impact! Status changed to Issued today, Friday February 18th.

Hello about this....My school main campus is in germany but i will be starting in their partners school in france and then finish up in germany...is it neecessary i input it in my cover letter because all the documents i have is from the campus in france except my tuition fees receipts which bears my main school name in partnership with my school in france...i don't know if it's okay to talk about it on the cover letter also there is a policy of 50% tuition fees to be paid before visa then remaining 50% after visa which i did...Should i also include it?

Secondly my receipt bears a different start and and end date from my France admission letter as dates were shifted after i got my receipts and the france campus isn't one issuing receipts it's been done by my main campus i don't know if that will affect me
while submitting my documents .

best for u is to get invitation letter from them and add the receipt to it

Almost everything went wrong today. I applied for emergency appointment yesterday. Within few hours they approved it and scheduled me for today. Less than 24hrs. I thought I would print confirmation later at night. My printer packed up. left home by 6am for 9.15am appointment, everywhere was blocked. I arrived late around 9.40. When they calculated the cost of the printing they said 33k. 3k per page. I gave them 12k.
Now the interview, I was just hearing denial right left and centre. I just zero my mind. My interview took a lot of time. To God be the glory, I got the visa .I appreciate the lady VO too. She was thorough with me but still very friendly.

did u confirm ur yellow card online?? if u can verified ur yellow card first see if you can check it online. some cant be check online that validate it as invalid

hey guys i got my passport today and i was refused my student visa(long stay) reason been that i didn't register with campus france which i did and even submitted my attestation/registeration letter on the day of my vfs appointment....
Secondly the refusal letter bears a different person's name and different application reference no which is not mine and i am super confused because i submitted everything they requested that i submit and now i am getting this...i don't even know what to do...pls guys any suggestion for me? because i feel so bad...attached to this is the refusal letter which doesn't bear my name and application ref no

well for me. as my first timer i applied for tourist it was given it 50/50

This is the best advise for first time travelers. Is likely to get business visa than tourist visa as a first time traveller for Schenge visa. I have this experience when I first applied I was denied visa for tourist I later got a conference which I reapply and get the visa.

Yes it's a personal experience. I've renewed 2 passports so far, was asked to submit the first one after renewal back in 2017 and when I went to renew the second one last month, after the biometrics I was told that I'd have to submit the expired one when I come to pick up the new passport. So I'm genuinely surprised people actually go home with the expired passport after renewal.
