I contacted HMRC and I am actually on the path of getting tax refunds for tax I paid to the UK govt while working as an international student even though I have switched to skilled worker visa and I don't mind the council tax, road tax, TV license etc because services are being rendered and moreover I am on a free UK medical care tied to my skilled worker visa till 2028 and I comfortably pay those taxes.
