PoliticsAlex Ekubo Writes Open Letter To Nigerian Army For Brutalizing A Crippled Man by Punctual(op): 9:39am On Feb 12, 2017
Actor Alex Ekubo took to his Instagram page to write an open letter to the Nigerian Army over the viral video of soldiers brutalizing a crippled man for wearing camouflage . Read what he wrote below…
“My Open Letter to The Nigerian Army

No!!! Nooo!!! Noooooo!!!!! Noooooooo!!!!! This has got to STOP, this gross misuse of power & arrant broad daylight disregard for civilians by the military, pls remind me is this Democracy or a Military Regimehuh For Heaven sake THE MAN IS HANDICAPPED !! I don’t even want to know what he did or didn’t do, reports are saying its because ” he wore Camouflage” REALLYhuh Is that reason enough for this inhumane act, Is that the reason why dollar is hell bent on attaining 1000 Naira to a dollar before my birthday in April?? , is that the reason why diesel is 270N in a Petroleum Exporting Country?? its only in Nigeria that someone’s house will be burning, & the house owner will be busy spraying insecticide in the Other Room to kill mosquitoes & C@.ckroaches, as if when the house is burnt, both owner, pet & pests will not go down… with all that is happening in the country right now, this should be the least of the Armies worry. Pls pls pls, CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF, CHIEF OF DEFENSE, pls talk to your officers, if you pple want us to leave the country so it can be a country of military personnel just let us know… with great power comes great responsibility, i can’t keep calm anymore, Injustice any where is a TREAT to justice EVERYWHERE!!! That poor man is someones Relative.. TO WHOM BRAIN IS GIVEN, SENSE IS EXPECTED…. (Pls if you know this man, pls contact me, let me give him CLOTHES, as they don’t want to see him in their Uniform) ”
PoliticsAmosun Opens Up: Buhari, Tinubu, And I by Punctual(op): 9:28am On Feb 12, 2017
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, is a man nobody can ignore in discussions on the affairs and politics of Nigeria. An accomplished accountant, Amosun was a senator of the Federal Republic and now two- term governor. In close to six years of his governance, there has been noticeable turnaround in the finances and infrastructure in the state and he has made a consistent pledge to leave the state better than he met it. In this exclusive interview with a team from The Sun comprising the Managing Director/Editor-in-Chief, Eric Osagie, Editor, Daily Sun, Onuoha Ukeh, Editor, Sunday Sun, Abdulfatah Oladeinde and Ogun State Correspondent, Laide Raheem, Governor Amosun bared his mind on his sojourn in politics, his relationship with President Muhammadu Buhari, leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and his predecessors in office. He also spoke about how his successor would emerge, among others. You are an accountant by profession. If I may ask, what is an accountant doing in politics? I have always argued that I am not a politician, but an accountant in politics. And after my sojourn in politics, I will go back to my calling, because I still want to be in my profession. The truth is over the years, I have found out that it is easy to sit in one corner, complain, criticize and say this is what is supposed to be happening, particularly in the area of governance. But you must get involved. I am not saying that everybody should be in politics or maybe in elective office. There are people who are in the private sector and they are doing well for the people, their states and of course, the entire nation. But I have since found out that the quickest platform to have a say and contribute to what will happen in your local government, state or even at the national level, is politics. I don’t know of any other quicker platform than politics. So, for me, the easiest way to contribute my quota to the development of my people is through politics. You might be lucky if your people vote for you, if you opt for elective office. This will surely offer one opportunity to influence things positively and help one to walk his or her talk. To the glory of God, I have had opportunity to represent our people at the Senate and now I am at a wider spectrum or platform to work for the people of Ogun State as their governor. You served as a senator and now as a governor, yet, you said you are not a politician but you just want to serve. Why do you dislike the label ‘politician’? Let me put it in another perspective, maybe my explanation will be clearer to you. For me, I would rather be a statesman and not a politician. A typical Nigerian politician looks at the next election he or she wants to win and everything they will be doing will be geared towards winning. And when they win, of course, they will come and go. But a statesman looks at what he will do to outlive him, even if people don’t see it that way. Like I said, during a media chat on the state- owned television, when Papa Awolowo of blessed memory, started everything he did, like free education, Cocoa House, the Liberty Stadium and many other laudable projects, people criticized him. Indeed, that of Cocoa House, I heard that some politicians then, gathered women to protest and called Awolowo many names that depicted him as a corrupt person. But today, history and posterity have judged him right. That is because he was not a politician, but a statesman. A statesman thinks beyond the now, while politicians are even afraid to take tough decisions, because they think they would lose elections. So, it is better to take tough decisions and live with them, once you know clearly that they’re for the good of all. Somebody said a good leader will do what his people need and want right now, but a very good and a wise one will take some decisions that, though, people may question and say we don’t need this right now, but is for the future. Such a leader will tell them that I think we will need this, this is where we reckon we will be in 10 years from now, and if a good foundation is not laid, it cannot be possible. A good leader will do that. I want to be remembered that I came and I took hard decisions that I know are the best for our people. Even though some of our people will be saying, “Oh, why are you doing this?” ultimately we will be proved right that those tough, hard decisions are the best for our people. Where will you get money? That is what people often ask me and I tell them that this is our turf.

Dating And Meet-up Zone10 Ways To Not Have A Totally Basic Valentine’s Day by Punctual(op): 8:50am On Feb 11, 2017
Read this and thank me later...
1. INSTEAD OF CHOCOLATES, GET THEM HEART-SHAPED CHEESE (OR WHATEVER FOOD THEY TRULY LOVE.) No offense to chocolates, but the really good-quality stuff will cost you an arm and a leg for, like, six truffles, and drugstore fare will leave you with a pile of mediocre candy you won’t finish. Plus, it’s completely expected. A food of their special preference will do. Another option: order a heart- shaped pizza, or fill a heart-shaped box with their deepest snack vice. 2.INSTEAD OF A CARD, COMMISSION A SPECIAL DRAWING. Grabbing the first Hallmark card you see and struggling to make your handwriting somewhat legible can feel a little lazy, despite the good intent. What takes a little more effort but will certainly earn a place of honor in their home is a commissioned drawing of your partner (or you as a couple, or whatever they like.) You can do anything: you as Disney characters, you Photoshopped seamlessly into Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s lives — there are literally no boundaries here. 3INSTEAD OF FLOWERS, GET THEM FLOUR AND BAKE TOGETHER. Ditch the dozen roses for something you’d much rather have chilling in your home: a multi-tier cake that you baked all night together. Because if you’re going to get an impermanent gift, it pretty much should always be food. 4 INSTEAD OF A HOTEL ROOM CLOSE TO YOU, TRAVEL TO A NEARBY TOWN YOU’VE NEVER BEEN TO. Shelling out NNN for a night at the nicest hotel in your area adds a lot of pressure for everything to be P E R F E C T, S3@.x:’ included (because everyone knows nothing is less stressful than S3@.x:’ with through- the-roof expectations, right?) With services like Airbnb though, you can find an affordable (and far more unique-looking) place to stay in a neighboring town where you can at least go on a scenic hike or to a local brewery, and get a little more bang for your buck. (Also literal bang, because you’ll be doing something new together and more into each other than
5 INSTEAD OF WEARING LINGERIE, TRY SOME ROLE-PLAY. Not to say that lingerie can’t be included in the mix here too, but going to dinner with a lace thong wedgie and worrying about your sheer bra giving your N!.pplss a little too much freedom is a surefire way to not enjoy any of it. Something that can feel a little more intimate though: Talk to each other about a fantasy you each want to try. Then, put on a Hogwarts scarf or a doctor’s coat or Britney Spears’s entire outfit from “Toxic,” and once you get home, have a night that will definitely stand out. 6 INSTEAD OF A BLURRY COUPLE SELFIE, MAKE A DIY CAMERA HEART FILTER. Your Instagram feed will be filled with couples’ pics quickly snapped by waiters who are probably (and rightfully) over it. For a slightly more intimate twist, you can make a Bokeh lens filter by making a little heart stencil out of construction paper and taping it to your camera. Your ‘gram will absolutely rise above the sea of cheek kisses and oversaturated roses. 7 INSTEAD OF A TEDDY BEAR, GET BOOZE- FLAVORED GUMMY BEARS . Stuffed animals are at the top of Valentine’s Day clichés. They have the unique ability to feel both juvenile and generic, like your partner doesn’t really know you. Staying true to the theme of “food is the best gift,” get your partner a box of Champagne- flavored gummies or one of those jumbo- size gummy bears. Or, if the mood strikes, make your own booze-infused gummy bears in preparation for the big day. Any of these options will be put to good use/will not end up in a lonely corner of the bed out of sheer guilt. 8 INSTEAD OF RED WINE, MAKE SOME APHRODISIAC COCKTAILS. You can have red wine any day, and honestly, it’ll probably make you a little too drowsy by the time you make it to the bedroom. Whether aphrodisiacs work or not isn’t the point here: it’s that you can make gorgeous, potent C@.cktails that will feel keep you delightfully buzzed all night. Or you can literally just spike some hot chocolate and live your best lives. 9 INSTEAD OF DINNER BEFORE SEX, HAVE SEX BEFORE DINNER. Dan Savage said it best: “a big heavy romantic meal with wine and crème brulée and everything else … and who wants to F**.Ck after that?” Get your bone on before the T-bone steak dinner, and if you feel like having seconds, you always can wink. 10 INSTEAD OF PROPOSING, PICK LITERALLY ANY OTHER DAY. Come on. You know better.

sonnie10:
The maths does not add up. Assuming he gets off school and arrives at the salon at 3pm, how many people can he barb to make 10k?

Let's be generous with figures;

Say they charge #500 for each hair cut. He would have to cut 20 people to make 10k

3pm to 11pm is 8hours. Assuming the minimum he spends on each person is 30mins. Therefore he can only cut 16 people ( non stop).

This time excludes dinner time, using the restroom, cleaning for the next Customer, and break.
considering a part of the headline which says ''.....WHO MAKES 10K PER DAY....'' this means the minimum amount of money he makes per day is not less than 10k
