Jose150: Pls, d site is nt openingHey..can't u see that this ad is over 5yrs old? Aren't u also aware that intercontinental bank doesn't exist again? R u in this country or outer space? |
Yeah...i remember this gist i heard during my secondary school days...hillarious. It's about this old woman that went to buy a full pack of frozen products. She got home and realised twas full of small papers instead of fish or wateva she paid for. So she goes back and met the same guy that sold her the stuff...the young chap apologised and gave her another pack but this time she checked it contained FISH. So she goes back home and meets her husband who questioned her about the source of a foreign currency bill he found on the floor of their apartment. She explains everything...the husband screams out loud 'yeepa'...so they rushed back to the place but the sharp guy was far gone before they got there. He obviously had left town. |
ebamma: opportunity comes but once, if this man remains a cleaner till old age, he will regret his actionOpportunity wey fit land person for jail, if to say dem catch am...na una still go call am thief/opportunist o...hehehe |
sandysprax: I watch it only when i dnt have options.People can use it to relax as against making it an obsession. It's not a waste of time if u control ur obsession and do the right things at the right time. Most students these days would rush their exams inorder to catch up with a football game.My own brother starved himself the other day cos chelsea lost a match.I see that as utterly uncalled for really....As for me, could'nt care less. But football is mostly on weekends and occasionally on weekdays...its not an obsession for me since it's not an everyday thing. Everyone has his/her own obsessions, what is yours? |
freshmoney: Carrying cash with me on a flight is none of your business. You don't know what kinda security I've put in place. You wouldn't know the power of Euro until you have it changed at any Nigeria bereau de exchange. And you wouldn't know why I preferred carrying that cash to having it in credit card. Lots of people carry wand of cash both within and outside Nigeria. Mind you a plane is not like a car, it rarely gets robbed. And why would someone wanna rob a plane cuz of some cash. Aircraft hijackers don't do it cuz of the cash in the aircraft, they do it on purpose.Dude, u responded to a response to my own response...it's a thread, next time u read to understand. What is my business if you chose to bank with your pocket. Mumu like u, what daft security did u put in place. Just thank your stars that u weren't robbed before u got to that bureau de change. So u have to wait for mallam to change it before u know the power of what you're carrying.....ever heard of exchange rate? |
Mmuo Okija: There is no such thing as a £100 note in the bank of england. . .Nowhere in the report was it stated that twas british pounds, Scottish banks issue £100 bills |
sandysprax: U are not alone bro.I also do not like football that much and have met an Italian who does not too.I used to think i was weird cos of this fact, but it's not true.Ok..which means you still like football...op sees it as pure waste of time. |
I always tell my kid sisters to know a bit of football even if they don't get to watch it. The other day she went for an exam and few of the questions asked where football/sports related..she came back and told me they asked for the full meaning of EPL and name 5 participating teams.....she didn't have a clue. If as an individual (a man in this case) you don't have interest in at least one of football, tennis, basketball or golf, then something must be wrong somewhere. |
freshmoney: Lol. You're funny! so only politicians can have 25,000pounds? |
freshmoney: Lol. You're funny! so only politicians can have 25,000pounds?The report says wallet, not pocket. Can you put €65000 in your wallet, 130 pieces of €500 bills? And i don't think you can carry as much as u can on a public flight...why would someone even wanna move around with so much cash when there are several card options to pick from. |
Observer1: I need that type of wallet that can contain such amount of money, because my wallet can not even take in £1000 without a force and bside I tot that £5000Hmm...maybe it's a big purse & not a wallet as reported. I just tot of it now..€5000 would just be 10 pieces of €500 bills....but £25,000 in £100 bills is what? |
9-zeros:God will understand when you get a sentence after being caught...hehehe |
cowgurl: If e had not reported d missing wallet, who do u tink wud b held responsible wen d passenger comes wit his/her complaints? #js asking#.I made this point earlier in the thread & am glad someone else thinks same. There are two sides to a coin....there is every possibility that the first tot that came to his mind was to keep the wallet o, except he's not human.....it's #7.3m..an amount he most likely won't earn in 10yrs working as a cleaning supervisor. He probably weighed the possible possibilities in the event of the passenger coming back to complain....if he had kept the wallet, na dat day e for enter labour market. On the other hand, it is very possible that he didn't even check the contents of the wallet fully before returning it. Now, i think either way..he deserves a reward from his employers and not necessarily a national award like some of u think. |
To add to all that, there is actually nowhere in the report that depicts the guy as a northerner. My next door neighbour name na Salami & na Yoruba man. |
tchaik: @puplin, for real? There is your answer:The word national hero has been battered left, right and centre...that is why every tom, dick and harry gets a national award. It's become so meaningless. |
Ijogz K: WOW!!!You wish twas you who found the wallet, abi? |
antartica: I have always said it,northern are the most honest people in nigeria on average I rather do business of trust with them than any other tribe in nigeria, including my own tribe. There is some kind of simplicity among them that one relies on. Not their leaders though.I bet you've not come across a very bad sharp northerner, don't be hasty to conclude. |
Ayomax: wht im advocating for is tht we shld encourage honesty.Guy, i know you were expecting her to give u at least like 5k out of it. But, what if the cash was her rent she had saved up for months or her Childs school fee she was gonna pay? I'm sure she blessed that #100 note in her mind before offering you. On the other hand, were u that hungry looking that she had to offer u anything at all? Hehehe, na joke o. |
Ayomax: wht im advocating for is tht we shld encourage honesty.Issorait |
Mmuo Okija: My Nigerian side says::And your real side would have done what? Hehehe |
ahmedisah: I'm sure Allah's reward for him would be greater. It could even be Allah trying this broda. But seriously, what if he had kept the wallet and the passenger went ahead to complain saying he's sure he dropped it in the plane. What if the wallet was now found on him after a search? Consider the humiliation, job loss and maybe arrest. As tempting as #7.3m is.....honestly, i think he tot about all i said before deciding to return the wallet. |
Rich Dad: This is it....The other day in a banking hall, i picked up a small nylon bag containing pieces of #1000 notes that i didn't even bother to count before handing it over to the security man on duty. Dude just pocketed it....told his supervisor and the idiot smiled & asked me if the cash is up to #5000. I left the bank that day feeling like one very big mumu cuz i had just #500 in my wallet. Hehehehe |
ahmedisah: Maybe he does not need or know how to spend money. If he's my brother I'll disown him!I'm sure Allah's reward for him would be greater. |
enkay10: I wonder how many nigerians can do this. but wat did d owner of d wallet do 4 d guyHe said thank you, i really appreciate your kind gesture...this is unbelievable, thank you once again...have a nice day. Bye |
nerodenero: This guy just blew my mind off with this unbelievable gesture. That is an attitude worth emulating but how many Nigerians could do what he did?Pls,dont ask me if I could return such.Thumbup man!Hehehe...and am sure the passenger just said thank you to him. This guy probably doesn't need the all expenses paid trip to Turkey, the airline mgt should just give him the equivalent in cash. |
gulfer: And you English sucks.Lmao...i've modified it...need help with yours? |
Honeycity: honestly this guy deserves a national award owing to the fact that this is not his first time of showing such good behaviorA national award for returning a lost wallet? As in, is that what the award is meant for? Smh |
antartica: The guy is not just 1 in 150million but in a billion. There are few people in the world that can do what he did. Dont forget he did it under duress, in a war like state that nigeria is right now. A state of absolute uncertainty for the meek.I believe you're not a sports person...plus, your punctuation sucks. |
Who tell una say anybori dey occupy anywia....i am laffin |
hibba: The letters for the selected candidates are ready, because i called some of their staffs and I was asked to come down to Abj to pick it. But how will no if my name is on list before travelling all the way from lagos. You obviously haven't been reading other posts, this is stale news. |
Hmm..all this people that register and post sensitive info like this...ehn, issokay |
